“Look here, babe, I will give you 20 more minutes to buy all the shit you need, after that you can find your own way to the hotel,” I murmur at her with a serious voice. She examines my face for a couple of seconds, she smiles and then slowly kisses me, and before you know it her tongue massages mine. I let her take control.

“One hour, babe, ok?” she says into my ear and then bits it gently. I can feel her breathing on my neck, making me give in.

“Ok…, but hurry,” I answer realizing that I got beaten at my own game. She takes again her time but finally after God knows how much it’s over. We leave the mall with ten fucking bags that are carried all by me.

. How the fuck I got like this. We return back to the hotel, change and leave to meet this cousin of her. As we arrive at his house, nobody is there.

“What the fuck,” I snap again. Alice tells me that he said that he will be home at this hour. Fuck this guy. What an attitude. He makes me wait for his sorry ass. After 20 minutes he finally shows up. He got a fucking smug face as he exits the car but he is not alone. A girl, his sister I presume, is with him. Pretty hot one. “Roxy, hey, how are you?” Alice says to the girl, giving her a hug. I step in, embracing her as well, while his brother is looking at me sideways. Good.

“I’m fine, you know, holding up with all, at least trying. My brother is no help as I already told you. They stare at him for a second but he just stands there, smoking, not giving a fuck about the situation.

“Can we get on with this; I have other things to do. And who are you? Alice’s new pet dog?” he says not even looking at us. When I hear the last part my shit explodes. I grab him by his shirt, pushing him two steps back.

“What the fuck is your problem, shit head. You can leave if you don’t like it, it’s not like we need you here, so take your cheap car and get out of my face,” I say to him. I release the grip, take a step back and look at him. He says nothing, sensing my anger, then makes his way to the car and leaves in a hurry. Fucking idiot.

“Levi, you don’t need to be so angry, he is like this all the time,” says Alice taking me by the hand and dragging me in the house. We get in, I sit myself on the sofa and chill. I let the girls go into the kitchen to talk their shit. After a solid 20 minutes they return from their talk.

“That was short,” I say sarcastically.

“Sorry, but we had to talk about a lot, you know, girl stuff,” says Alice smiling at me. She sits next to me, grabbing my hand and gently squeezing it. Half an hour of technical stuff about the funeral pass by and suddenly I hear two cars stopping in front of the house. Who the fuck can it be. I rise and so do the two next to me. I open the door, step outside and fix my eyes on the two cars. One is the cousins and the other I don’t know. Did this fucker get help? Is he trying to mess around with me? I can’t believe this, more idiots that I need to beat.

“Jasper, what are you doing, why you returned now, and with the guys as well?” asks his sister amazed by his brothers actions.

“Shut the fuck up, Roxy, and stay in the house. I’m going to show this idiot that you can’t fuck with me!” he screams from his car.

“Really?” I say with a smirk on my face, unable to contain my amusement.

“Yea, really, you dumb fuck.” From the two cars step out five guys.
Five versus one, I like the odds
. I’m gonna break their necks. I tell Alice to stay inside and that all will be ok. She looks at me a little scared but I kiss her and give her a small slap over the face. She snaps out of it and confirms what I told her. I get outside and walk toward the dickheads.

“Guys, look here, I will give you 30 seconds to get into your cars and leave. This is the only warning I will give you,” I say smiling at them.  They look at me for a second and then start laughing. I laugh with them and we all laugh until Jaspers stops and the rest stop at his command.

“Who do you think you are, boy? Can’t you see you are outnumbered? We are five, you one. If I were you I would apologize on my knees,” he says and all of them confirm.

“Are you serious? Of course if I was you, I would probably do that, but unfortunately for you I am not a little bitch, like yourself.”

The guys get serious, staring at me with a malicious intent. I feel sorry for them because a beating is heading their way. One of them gets tired of all the rambling and moves toward me. He swing trying to hit my face but with no success. I easily avoid and strike him on the spot. He collapses under the power of my fist. The rest stand amazed.

“Guys, what the fuck are you doing! Don't stand there with those stupid faces and get him! His just one dude!”

After they snap out of it, two of them try their luck this time. I myself walk to welcome them. They charge in an attempt to overwhelm me. Of course, having the experience, I slice them in a second. Seeing that they have no chance, one guy pulls out a knife. He swings it wanting to catch me but as he blindly moves, I grab his hand, twist his wrist, take the knife and stab him in the leg. He falls on the ground, screaming like a little bitch. I look at Jasper, grinning.

         “Anyone else?” I ask moving my eyes from a guy to another.                                                                                          “Good! Now you can take your friend and nicely leave before I change my mind. Have a nice day!” I say to them as they stare at me puzzled. So funny! I return inside the house and close the door behind me. After 1 minute I can hear them leave.

“I’m so sorry about all this. My brother always does crazy shit like this. I told him to stop it but he wouldn't listen to me,” Roxy says waiving her hands.

“I hope this time he got the idea,” I say talking a seat. I'm hungry. We finish our conversation fast and leave to the hotel. We order food and eat.

“You didn't say a word about what happened,” I say to Alice.

“Well, what is it to say. I didn't know you are so good at fighting,” she says piercing my eyes with hers. I get closer to her, so close I can feel her slow breath on my face.

“You don’t know much about me, I must say.”

“Then tell me,” she smiles at me and kisses me.

         “Better if I show you,” I grin and kiss her back, pushing her down. I take her hands and pin them above her head.

“Levi, no,” she says with a low voice. She tries to escape but she can't.

“Levi, stop,” she raises her voice a little but I don't let her go.

“So, pay attention. Alice will live with me, yes. Ashley will stay alone in the west side room on the second floor, the two sisters, Liz and Lola will stay on the first floor in the big bedroom. Ask Gerald to help you and tell Gloria not to freak out to much. It’s just a temporary thing. And brother, I don’t want the fridge to be empty when I get home.” I raise my voice as to make the message clear.

“I get it. No problem. Levi, another thing. Leon is throwing a huge party this week and of course we got invited. He wants to know if we go or not.” I listen to him as I finish the task I mentioned earlier.

“Yes, we are in. I’m going to take Alice as well, so tell him that, ok?” I say as I knock at the bathroom door. Alice is still inside and gives no sign of getting out.

“Ok, brother, I’m going to tell him. I’m done, see you tomorrow, cya!” I reply to him and end the call. I put the phone down on the table in the kitchen and return to the door. I knock again and then open it.

Alice is in the shower and can’t hear me. Good. This days there is a challenge going on, the ice bucket challenge. All the famous people are doing it. “You are no fun, Alice.” I say to her as I leave the bathroom. One hour later we leave for the funeral. Alice is still pissed but I ignore her. I don’t have time for her moods. I got another call as she was in the shower, taking forever to get out. It was from work and I need to make a short trip to Australia. I will have Alice go alone back to America. She will be sad or worst. We will see after the funeral. We arrive at the cemetery at the intended hour. Dressed in black, as all the rest, we make our way to the front. They are around 30 people here. We pay our respects so to say and then we get in the back to wait for the event to finish. After we leave and go to the hotel, I tell Alice about my trip.

“Babe, I got a call from work and I need to make a short trip to Australia. You will have to go home alone,” I say to her with a low voice expecting the worst.

“Really? Ok then, I’m gonna finish the moving until you get back,” she says with a normal voice. I remain puzzled but I agree with her without saying anything else.

“What is it?” she looks at me as I try to keep a straight face.

“Nothing,” I say not looking at her. She gives me an elbow and asks me again.

“What, did you expect to flip out and act crazy? Yea, well, if you think I’m like that then I hope you get me something nice from Australia,” she says.

“Sure, babe, anything you want it’s yours,” I say hugging her with one hand.

“When are you leaving me all alone?” she asks grinning at me.

“Actually, the plane departs in three hours. I will have to go soon. I don’t like airports. All the waiting and checks. Drives me crazy. So what do you want me to get for you?” I ask her.

“Hmm, I don’t know, surprise me!” she says as I imagine what she would want from Australia. I have no idea, damn.

“So give me a hint, so I don’t disappoint you, ok?”

“Na, you can do it yourself, I trust you. You are a smart guy, right?” she says smiling at me. Damn, she really wants to piss me off. Ok then, I’m going to buy her a huge kangaroo and put it in the living room. I can’t think of anything else at the moment.

We arrive at the hotel, pack our stuff and leave. We make our way to the airport. Of course, Alice’s plane leaves in like five hours but I give her some cash and let her waste the time shopping.

“Hey, I’m going now, you take care and have a save flight. Don’t forget to call me when you land. My brother will wait for you at the airport. Move the rest of the stuff till I get home.”

“Ok.” I kiss her for what it seems an eternity and then I take my leave, letting this girl on her own. I hope she can manage. I look back but already people are blocking my view. I turn around and continue.

Chapter V

I’m all alone now. There is no one here, beside me. I can feel the coldness of the space you left behind. The darkness starts to emerge, for you were my light, my sun and my moon. . Damn, I’m so poetic. I stare at the people passing by as I imagine this nonsense. Hmm… ok, let’s see. There are three hours till by plane leaves so I got some time for myself. I check to see how much money Levi left me, around 2k. I guess he is pretty rich, right? Yea, he is and just now I realize this, it’s funny actually. Well if he was so nice I should at least buy him a gift as well. I start thinking of what he would like but nothing pops in my head. Hmm, I can think of anything at the moment. I will have to ask his brother when we meet at the airport, I’m sure he will now something really sweet to buy.
