It had amused him to realize his sweet, gentle, delicate little Jessica had been ready to fight the other woman out of jealousy. That amusement had fled when he realized her feelings had been hurt, and that night they had a long discussion about their boundaries and what they both considered unacceptable. While the conversation hadn’t been an easy one, it had been necessary. He understood now that while Jessica enjoyed selecting certain women to play with them, it was always a woman who loved her man and wasn’t someone Jessica would consider a threat. The same rules applied for him. He didn’t want any man who would try to steal her from him to touch her, and they’d ended that night making passionate love, the act itself so intense it had branded his soul forever.

While he continued to eat, she talked about work being done on their home, how she was volunteering at the local library, and which of her friends was coming to visit next.

“Tell Maks,” she said in an irritated tone, “to stop fucking my friends. Debbie and Margo are about ready to come to blows over him, and I’m tired of their pleading phone calls that I talk to him to see if he likes them.”

Laughing, Alex sat back and shook his head. “They are adults, and I am sure you let them know what a ‘manwhore’ you think he is.”

That made her flush, and he knew it was because she’d been busted by Alex giving her friend a lecture about staying away from Maks. He could hardly blame the other man. Jessica’s friends were attractive, sweet, and bubbly like her. They were the kind of women who filled a house with joy, and his men had been drawn to their light. He didn’t want to discuss his men’s sex lives, so he merely nodded along while she went off on one of her adorable tangents.

When she finally wound down, she looked at him then smoothed her hair back and sighed. “So as you can see, there is no way I can have both Margo and Debbie come over for Christmas. They’d end up in a cat fight over who got to warm Maks’ bed.”

He shrugged. “So they both share his bed. Is no big deal.”

Her gaze locked on his. “My friends are not having a threesome with Maks! They aren’t like that.”

Yawning, he stood and tried not to flinch at the pain. “You never know,
prinsessa moya
. Maybe you tell them about the…filthy things you have done and discover they have done same.”

The spark of lust flared in her gaze, and her nipples hardened beneath her top. Jessica loved being a filthy, dirty little girl. Loved it even more when he called her one, and he had to admit, he loved the fact she was so kinky once she overcame her natural shyness. Their sex life would never be boring because they trusted each other, because she knew when he was calling her his dirty girl he wasn’t insulting her, but instead, complimenting her.

Her gaze went down his body, stopping at the bruising still visible on his ribs. “It must have been a bad accident.”

“It was.”

“I wish I was there to take care of you.”

Touched by her generous spirit, he held his hand out to her. “Come, is time for sleep.”

She slipped her hand into his, her trust in him filling him with warmth. “I’m so glad you’re home. Our bed feels empty without you.”

He switched off lights as they made their way to the stairs leading to their massive suite on the second level. “My heart feels empty when you are not near.”

She turned her head as they took the stairs together, lifting his hand to her lips and kissing it. “Mine, too. Thanks for bringing the rest of my heart home. I love you.”

“I love you, too,
prinsessa moya
.”

Chapter Twenty-Four

Jessica stared at the gigantic master bedroom made entirely of ice.

It was
insane
.

The walls and furniture were all made of carved blocks of ice that were illuminated by LED lights frozen into them, and it made the man-size slabs of cut ice glow like they had shifting fairy lights within the walls. The bed was a monstrous creation, large enough to sleep five adults, with silk sheets, a goose down comforter, and a gigantic fur blanket. According to the concierge who had shown them into their room, there was some kind insulation between the ice frame of the bed and the sheets that kept it the sleeping portion warm and dry. The whole thing was super lush, and she wondered what they did to keep the mattress from getting cold or the ice below them from melting. As she pondered this, Alex came up behind her, the fur of his jacket rubbing against her neck before he placed a kiss on her cheek.

“You like?”

She turned in his arms and glanced out the gorgeous windows. The snow had been carved into these lovely floral patterns that gave the illusion of looking through an ice garden to see the Northern Lights flashing overhead. Out there, somewhere in the cold of the North Pole, Krom and his men patrolled the area, no doubt freezing their balls off. She’d have to try and get Catrin to give Krom a blowjob as an apology. That thought made her giggle. She sighed in delight, resting her head against Alex’s soft mink jacket, which had belonged to his grandfather. Evidently being big and broad was in his genetics because the coat fit perfectly on his frame. She’d never considered a man in fur sexy before, she didn’t like animals suffering, but the coats she and Alex wore were old, but in pristine condition. While he went with dark mink, she wore his mother’s silver fox jacket.

To her surprise, and Alex’s, a large box filled with his mother’s fur coats had arrived yesterday from his father. She’d been a bit freaked out, especially when she saw it made Alex agitated, but he’d forced himself to smile at her and mutter something about his father knowing they were going on vacation. At first she’d been scared to even approach the box, but as she dug through the coats, she pulled out one and rubbed her face against the rabbit fur jacket. When she’d slipped her hand into the pocket, she’d found a small letter. It was a handwritten note from Alex’s father, talking about one of the times his wife had worn this jacket, briefly describing the evening and how special she was to him without saying it directly.

Maks watched her curiously while she went through each coat, reading the notes one by one before putting them back in the jacket. She’d debated if she should mention these love letters —for lack of a better term—to Alex, but wasn’t sure if he’d be happy or pissed. When she finally showed them to Alex, he was as baffled as she was. Later, he’d cuddled with her in bed, and draped across his body, she read the letters to him while he closed his eyes and mourned. It had been an intense, intimate moment with him that had drawn them together, closer than ever, and she couldn’t help but squeeze Alex tight.

“This place is magical,” she said with a sigh. “Very romantic.”

The perfect place to tell him your news
, her mind whispered, but she tried to ignore it.

He laughed softly as he smoothed down her hair. The air inside the hotel was chilly, but also strangely warm from the igloo effect. She wondered how much her butt was going to freeze when she used the bathroom and hoped they didn’t expect her to sit on an ice toilet to do her business. Just the thought had her butt tightening beneath Alex’s fingertips.

“What was that thought,
devushka milaya
?”

“I was wondering if the bathroom was going to be made out of ice as well. I don’t want to get frostbite on my nether bits…or shower in an ice bath.”

His deep chuckle ghosted over her skin, more felt than heard. “You have no idea how much I have missed you, Jessica.”

She looked up into his silvery gaze, the odd lighting of the room giving his face an ethereal cast. There were dark shadows beneath his deep-set eyes, and his full lips looked so kissable. She wanted to taste him, to wrap herself around him and feel the proof that he’d returned to her, alive and somewhat well. He was still bruised, but not as stiff as he had been two days ago. She’d babied him, making him rest and sleep, cuddling in bed with him as he slept with his head on her lap and she read on her eReader. The memory of sifting her fingers through his hair had her rubbing a strand now.

There was something she needed to tell Alex, something important, but she chickened out.

“Your hair, it’s a lot longer than when we met.”

“You seem to like my hair longer, so I have been not getting it cut as much. Gives you something to grab onto while I fuck you.”

She shivered, and he licked his lips. “Yes, yes, it does.”

He closed his eyes, took a step back, and rubbed his knuckles over her cheeks. “Come, we have something we must do.”

“Oh-uh…I thought we could stay here a bit and talk.”

An odd, frustrated look turned his lips down. His hair wasn’t the only thing that was longer. His goatee had lengthened as well, and the look was strikingly good on him. She knew every line on his face, every scar on his body, and most of the ones on his soul as well. He was anxious about something, but also excited. At first, she thought he was looking forward to showing her how amazing the hotel was, but that wasn’t it. There seemed to be more.

Putting aside her own worries for the moment, she cocked her head. “Alex, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, if we hurry.”

“What?”

He grabbed her hand and dragged her behind him, out of the suite, and into the large hallway of the hotel wing housing the suites. Maks stood guard next to the door, his normally bland expression gone, replaced instead by a broad smile. She stared at him, but Alex was hauling her away before she could ask what the hell was going on. They went down three rooms, and Alex knocked on the one with a big cut-out heart above it, letting the sound of feminine voices and laughter spill out into the hall. As soon as they heard the knock, women began to scream with excitement, and Jessica wondered what the hell was going on.

Her answer came in the form of Kisha, her best friend from back home, grabbing her in a huge hug. “
Chica
! It’s been so long. I’ve missed you.”

As usual, when Kisha got excited, her Puerto Rican accent came out full force. They were polar opposites looks wise, Jessica was tall, fair, and beanpole skinny while Kisha was short, dark, and had the kind of curves that had been like a siren song to men since she hit puberty. Jessica was nearly speechless. Hugging her soft friend, Jessica said in a slightly stunned voice, “What are you doing here?”

Alex gently spun Jessica away from Kisha and smiled down at her. “I love you.”

“I...uh...love you too.”

“Good, because we’re getting married today.”

“What?”

To her shock, her aunts and female cousins dragged her into the suite, surrounding her with laughter and hugs as she spotted more of her friends from home along with her new friends from Alex’s circle. Happiness filled her until she was sniffing back tears, getting so many hugs at once, so much love. She’d never felt anything like it. Everyone finally settled down, and Catrin clapped her hands loudly.

“Okay, we agreed before Jessica got here that our goal is to get her off and married in timely manner, which means I get to tell you what to do and you do it, or you get the hell out. Am I clear?”

Jessica giggled as all the women agreed, some with rather shocked expressions.

Catrin was wearing a pale gray, sheath dress with a necklace of pink diamonds and matching earrings, along with a pair of knee-high fur boots and a matching black fur jacket. She approached Jessica with a huge smile. “Ready to see your dress?”

“My dress?”

“We helped her pick it out.” Kisha stood next to Jessica, and she, too, was beaming. “Girl, this thing is fabulous. It was custom made for you, and when I say Alex went all out, I mean he went
all
out.”

Dazed, she accepted a glass of champagne passed to her. “Did he pick it out?”

“No.” Aunt Mary smiled at Jessica. “He wants to be surprised.”

Catrin turned Jessica slowly, and a few of her cousins stepped out of her line of sight, giving her an unobstructed view of the glorious lace creation displayed on a dress frame. It was white with pale blue undertones, practically glowing against the ice surrounding them. Soft music played from hidden speakers, a soothing melody with acoustic guitars and a woman’s lovely soprano voice. Jessica began to walk slowly to her dress, her gaze devouring every detail. It would be tight on her breasts, but as it neared her waist, it flowed out into a skirt long enough to have a small train in the back. The top was long sleeved with a sweetheart neckline, and a white fur stole was draped over a nearby chair. To her amusement, she saw that she would be getting married in a pair of flat, white fur boots.

Little crystals had been stitched into the lace so it would almost appear like she was covered in snow, glittering with each subtle change of the lights. It was the most exquisite dress she’d ever seen, and Alex had done this for her. She reached out and gently ran her fingers over the thin blue silk ribbon that ran along the waist of the dress, scarcely believing this was real.

While she was still caught up in the beautiful gown, the women began to efficiently strip away her layers of clothing. She shivered when she was bare then flushed as everyone watched her put on her thigh high stockings along with a white lacy garter and bra ensemble. Surrounded by helpful hands, she slid into her gown, realizing after she had it was stretchy and warm with its long sleeves, even with the lower portion of the back cut out displaying a good amount of skin. While her hair was fussed with by a pair of hairdressers who seemed to appear out of thin air and a makeup artist did her face up, the other women laughed and joked with each other, everyone clearly in high spirits.

Her Aunt Mary studied her face, a slow smile curving her lips. She wore an elegant cashmere dress with black fur boots and a short black fur cape that flowed over her shoulders. Diamonds sparkled in her ears and on her fingers while she talked with Kisha about which set of jewelry to wear. Jessica was talking with one of her cousins when Catrin, appearing decidedly pale, came back holding a laptop. She examined Jessica then announced, “Everyone out.”

Immediately, women began to protest, but Catrin swallowed and spoke in a firm voice. “I mean it, out. Jessica has to be out there soon, and I want to give her time to relax and for everyone here to get in their places. Now go.”
