Stein spoke through a very sore right jaw. “THE ONLY LIES ARE YOURS!” Quickly Stein was met with another punch, this time to his left jaw. “Dr. Stein, if you continue to be rude this conversation will end on a very bad note, and I do hate ending conversations with intelligent individuals on bad notes. So please act like the good doctor I know you are.”
Stein tasted the blood in his mouth. He forced himself to speak through a throbbing head and a fractured jaw. “Congruant necne mori.” Stein then used every ounce of energy he could muster and lunged at Kiel from across the desk. The guards caught him before he reached the director and began beating him as he fell across the desk. The Director grabbed the Dr. by the throat and leaned in close. “Conform or die indeed doctor.” Dr Stein was then Spread across the wardens desk both the guards and Director Kiel beat Dr. Jonathan Stein until he bled externally and in, they continued beating him until the only movement was the twitching of his nerves shooting through his muscles. Stein lay face down on the warden’s desk, he smelled the smoke of the cigar, he felt the blood running over his face, and he saw papers in front of him, part of a list of those who were supposed to be at the compound but could not be found.

Fifteen miles north east of the campsite Darion and Jason crouched in the tree line as they watched a bus transport filled with people going south on the interstate. Darion radioed his brother who was set up eight miles south with Anthony and Alexia. “Eagle eye to dragon.”
Nathan responded. “Go ahead.” Darion heard the squawk of the walkie talkie go silent signaling his turn, he pressed transmit. “Rabbit is en route.” Nathan was ready. “Roger that, rendevous at Zulu. Dragon out.” Nathan turned to Anthony and nodded. Anthony then took his silenced sniper rifle and began setting up for a good vantage point. Alexia watched as Nathan pulled his two 45's from his back and addressed Anthony. “Alright, I’m going to go about fifty yards south, that’s about where they should stop.” Anthony nodded.
Alexia looked from Nathan to Anthony and then said. “Wait, you’re gonna shoot at a bus filled with people!” Nathan and Anthony looked at each other, then Nathan responded. “Don’t worry Anthony’s going to hit the tire; they’ll just think it’s a blowout.” Alexia looked at both of them, shook her head and then began taking off her gear. Her pistol, her wire mace, her military blouse and her utility belt until all she had on was boots, black pants and a t shirt. She then began walking out of the tree line and towards the side of the interstate. On the way there she rolled her eyes and said aloud. “Men.”
As she made her way to the roadside Nathan and Anthony looked at each other and shrugged. Nathan watched Alexia and spoke to Anthony. “Cover her, I’ll move down to the edge of the tree line.” Anthony moved into position an asked “What do you think she’s up to?” Nathan shrugged. “Women.” Anthony chuckled and just shook his head. Nathan made his way to a large group of bushes that helped conceal him while Anthony lay in a prone position covering Alexia.

Staff Sergeant Reyes and Specialist Franks were not coherently evil men; they believed they were helping secure innocent civilians from a terrorist threat. Like most people they had no clue that the threat was from inside their own government. As the two soldiers drove south on the interstate they saw a young girl walking on the side of the road.
Specialist Franks addressed his Staff Sergeant sitting in the seat closest to the bus door.“Hey Sarge.” Reyes responded. “Yea I see her. We better stop.”
The specialist stopped the bus almost even with the girl, since all traffic was now regulated Franks saw no need to pull over. Both the Staff Sergeant and the Specialist hopped out of the bus and moved towards the girl who was crying with her hands over her eyes.
The girl spoke through sobs. “They’re gone....they’re all gone!”
Reyes looked to Franks and then tried to comfort the poor girl. “It’s ok, we can help you.”
Reyes put his hand on Alexia’s shoulder, immediately she shot into motion. She reached over and grabbed Reyes by the wrist while simultaneously kicking Franks in the jaw. She then pulled the same leg she used to kick Franks strait forward to kick Reyes in the face as she twisted his arm. Alexia flipped Reyes over then turned to see her brother standing with pistols drawn and his boot at Franks throat. Alexia faced her brother. “I had him.” Nathan pointed a 45 at each of the soldiers and nodded. “Yea....I saw.” Anthony joined the group and immediately began to disarm the men. Nathan stepped back and put away his pistols. “Lex, go get everyone off the bus and move them to the side of the road please.” Reyes eyed Nathan with apparent hate while Franks was simply confused. “What are you doing? What do you want?” Nathan said. “Please move off the road with the others.” As Nathan turned, Reyes went to attack him but was met with a sword to the neck that stopped just before breaking the skin. Nathan spoke calmly. “I would rather no one get hurt so if you would please allow me to explain then I will let you be on your way.”
Nathan slid his short sword back in its sheath and then motioned for the soldiers to go first. Once off the road Nathan stood on a fallen tree nearby and prepared to address the forty or so men women and children. “My name is Nathan Turner, I only want a moment of your time and then you will be free to go. I promise no one will be harmed. My friends and I are here to give you a choice, I cannot go into too much detail right now but I will try to explain as much as I can. You have all been lead to believe that you are in grave danger and you are, but not from any terrorist. There is no terrorist threat, what is happening right now is change, one instituted by very powerful men whose goal is a one world government where you do as your told and believe what your told to believe. The attacks in Huston and around the world were orchestrated by these people so that you would give up your freedom for a false security; that is the real threat.”
The crowd was talking to each other trying to decipher what Nathan was saying, Nathan was getting used to the confused looks he received when he tried to explain what was going on in the world.
He took a deep breath and continued. “I can’t make any of you trust me; equally I can’t risk my group by staying here any longer than we have to. So what I have to offer you is choice. You have three paths that you may follow. You can get on that bus and go back to a place that will force its views upon you and your children; you will be fed you will have medical treatment and may lead a somewhat normal life but you will not be free to think or believe what you want. You will not be allowed to work where you want, worship who you want or even live where you want. You will fall in line or they will make you suffer. You could leave and go home or fend for yourselves but I promise if you do you will soon end up in one of their prisons listening to their lies, accept those lies and you may be protected at a price. The third option I offer you is the more difficult, you may come with us. If you choose to come with us, life will be difficult, we will constantly be moving, we will have to scavenge and hunt for our food and eventually we will be hunted. If you choose to come with us life will be hard, dangerous...but you will be free.”
Nathan paused for a moment to think of something else he might say to save these people from a life of control and persecution. “In two days FEMA will begin broadcasts meant to help the transition into a New World Order. When that happens you will see the truth in what I say, but I won’t be there to give you a choice....I’m giving you that choice now. You have five minutes. Those who wish to stay are welcome.” Nathan looked at Reyes and Franks “All of you. The rest can meet at the road or go on their way.”
The group spoke amongst themselves concerned about the choices in front of them, most feeling that something was off in the world; they had heard too many times about a new world coalition. Most wanted to just be free to go home, many had just had enough of government and military control over the last few weeks; they got their vaccinations why couldn’t they go home to their lives.
Anthony walked to the bus while Nathan watched the group. A few minutes later an elderly couple and a few others stopped next to Nathan while others moved towards the bus.
An old man spoke to Nathan. “I hear what you’re saying son, but we’re too old to be running.”
Nathan Nodded. Another one of the families walked past the head of which approached Nathan. “I have to make sure that my kids are fed.” Nathan wanted so deeply to grab the man by the shoulders and tell him “This IS for your family” but he didn’t want to push; people had to accept make this decision on their own. Again he just nodded. “I understand you concerns.”
Anthony walked back to Nathan who was just finished making some adjustments to the buses engine; he met eyes with Nathan and nodded. Nathan then opened his arm to let Reyes and Franks know they could go. Franks was obviously following his sergeant but was looking very unsure, he appeared to be following rank rather than his own feelings. Reyes growled at Nathan. “You have no idea what you’ve done, those people are going to die and it’s going to be your fault!”
Immediately understanding the ignorance he was dealing with in Reyes Nathan looked at Franks when he spoke. “Go back, but think for yourselves. Make sure you do what you feel is right...” Nathan turned his gaze at Reyes. “Not what rank tells you.” Nathan looked at the bus and then said in an unintentional but apparent smart ass tone. “Also you will have a long drive ahead of you and your communications have been disabled.” Reyes clenched his fists as he moved towards the bus his body fuming with hatred for Nathan.
Nathan started for the tree line then stopped and got a little closer to Reyes so to make one final statement before he walked away. “You are both free to go, just know that anyone that comes after me or these people will be treated as an enemy....” Nathan glared at Reyes. “And I will do whatever is necessary to protect them.” A moment later the bus was rolling again.
Anthony turned to Nathan. “Shouldn’t do more than 25.” Nathan thanked his friend. “That should by us some time.” Nathan moved towards those who stayed hoping that his last statement to Reyes had made an impression. Once there he noticed the size of the group and was surprised to see how many had actually stayed. Nathan addressed them once again.
“I only have two requests, respect each other and do your best to contribute. Everyone has abilities that can be used to help each other.” Nathan looked over the group, a plethora of different backgrounds and races. Mostly middle aged men and women, a few children could be seen. Together they all began the long walk back to camp

Since the federal state of emergency had been declared all commercial airlines had been shut down; only FEMA authorized aircraft had permission to fly through U.S. airspace. Deshad knew this when he landed a small streamline jet just ten miles from one of the most secure bases in the world, Mt. Weather. Deshad landed on the interstate and immediately headed for the woods. The only thing keeping him from getting shot down by fighter jets was the planes IFF sensor, still Deshad didn’t identify himself and intentions when he was asked as he crossed into U.S. airspace. He knew he had a very limited amount of time before federal agents and military descended upon his position. Most people checking the security of an area would just take the formal walkthrough, but not Deshad. He wanted to see how far he could get against the best the U.S. had to offer. Deshad ran all out as he went through the woods. Dodging trees and jumping over logs he knew that by the time they found the plane he would be well on his way to the base, and that the sun would be down. Soon he would become the dark shadow.

Seventeen, that was the final count, four children, six women and seven men. Some of the group were still teenagers and a few were over forty five but in this war no one is excluded. Nathan only hoped he would not disappoint, he was very anxious about what he had done and what he still had left to do.
As Nathan led the group across the creek that led to the camp he saw Darion and Jason. Nathan turned to address the group. “Please take a seat.” Nathan looked to Alexia and Jason. “Could you two start handing out MRE’s please.”
As the group settled in dropping what little they had Nathan spoke privately with Anthony and Darion. Darion asked. “Did everything go ok?” Anthony answered. “Thanks to your sister.” Darion showed his surprise. Nathan cut in. “We have to leave tomorrow.” That brought looks from both Anthony and Darion. Nathan continued. “We need more food and supplies, but more importantly.... they will be coming.” Anthony had his arms folded across his chest; he moved his hand to his chin. “This soon?” Nathan nodded. “Did you see the look that guy gave me?”
Anthony raised his eyebrows and gave a huff. “You did almost slice his neck.”
Darion’s eyes got big wondering what he missed. Nathan noticed Darion’s expression and explained. “Self defense, the point is they’ll be coming.” Anthony nodded trusting in his friend’s caution. “So what’s the plan?” Nathan thought for a moment as he looked at the camp. “We’ll pack up tonight and move north in the morning on one of the back roads until we find a decent spot to set up.” Darion asked what he and Anthony were thinking. “Isn’t that towards the compound?”
