As Ryan and Kristian made their way back to their hostel the following morning, their conversation was sparse. “Hmm. Maybe we should discuss it further with them. I’d prefer to know if they literally just want to travel with us then go our own separate ways, or whether they want to stay with us the whole time. Actually are they planning to stick with us the rest of the time we’re in Paris? I know this sounds harsh, but I kinda hope not. They’re lovely girls, but this is a lads’ trip, you know what I mean?”
Kristian nodded. “I do. Well, let’s have a think about the best way to get that across to them, shall we? Then I’ll drop Taryn a text later on asking to meet somewhere tonight and we can sort things out. Like you say, the girls are great and I’m happy to have a casual arrangement with them, but the last thing we need is them cramping our style or trying to meddle with our itinerary.”
“Couldn’t have put it better myself, mate. Go on, then, send her a text, and we’ll figure out what the hell to do about Rome.”
