“Love you,” he panted, and she knew she was no longer uncertain.

One by one, they had made love to her then expressed their love for her. She didn’t doubt, didn’t question. They’d known each other too long. They knew her better than any other men she’d dated over the years. And she knew them in ways their previous girlfriend’s couldn’t have. That’s what came from having a friendship like theirs.

Travis slowly rolled off her and lifted an arm to drape over his eyes as he continued to catch his breath. She could see Scott in the bathroom and wasn’t surprised when she felt Kyle drop on the bed on her other side. How had she waited so long for this, for them? What in the world had she allowed to hold her back?

She shook her head, not permitting those thoughts to take hold. Timing was everything, and apparently, this was their time. Maybe they’d needed the years to really get to know one another. All she knew was that she’d never been happier in her life. Had the love spell really worked? Was there such a thing as magic? And did it really matter? It didn’t. All that mattered was she was surrounded by the three men she’d longed for, and they loved her.

“You okay?” Scott asked, catching her gaze as he moved back into the room

“I love you,” she answered instead.

Travis perked up beside her.

She turned her head to him. “I love you.”

She pushed up a bit and glanced at Kyle. “And you. I love you. I love all of you. I’m not sure how this is going to work, but I know I want us to work.”

“Then we’ll make it work,” Kyle said.

“Definitely,” Travis agreed.

“We’ll figure it out as we go along,” Scott assured her. “You’ve had us bewitched since the day we met you. I can’t see anything changing that, especially now that we’ve tasted the pleasure that only you can give.”

Bewitched. That sounded about right to her.

Chapter Six

Eight weeks later…

Brenna knocked on Chel’s door with bag in hand. The door opened immediately, and she was jerked inside.

“Did you get it?” Chel demanded, reaching for the bag.

“Yes. I’m hoping the girl at the counter doesn’t go blabbing or I might give one of the guys a fright,” Brenna grumbled good-naturedly.

“I’ll be right back,” Chel said and almost ran down the hall.

Brenna stepped into the kitchen and turned on the kettle for tea. It’d been eight weeks since that night when her whole life had changed. A spell, a candle, some wine and a moment of impulsiveness that had had her dancing naked under the moon had transformed her whole life. Now, instead of going home to an empty house, she went home to a very full one. It was still a little hard to believe she had Kyle, Travis and Scott in her bed every night. More importantly, they loved her, and she loved them.

She and Kyle had both given in and moved in with Scott and Travis in the huge house they’d built. She’d still kept her cottage, refusing to get rid of it. Not because she wanted a place in case things didn’t work out like some of the jealous people in town said, but because it was the spot where they’d first gotten together. It was her first house, and she’d worked hard to leave her mark on it. Though the guys might razz her, she knew they understood.

They’d received mixed feelings from those in town. Some people didn’t care about their relationship. Some found it sinful and refused to talk to them, though they sure seemed to talk about them. And some found it intriguing. Funny enough, it didn’t bother her as much as she’d worried it would. As long as she had the three of them to come home to every night, she didn’t care what the rest of the world thought.

Chel and Chuck didn’t mind at all. In fact, Chel teased Chuck that she needed to make copies of him just so she could experience it. Chuck just laughed and said only if he could do the same to her.

Brenna no longer sat on the barstool watching the guys with hungry eyes when they were at the bar. Now, she was with them, touching them and unashamedly showing everyone how much they meant to her. All in all, life was going pretty great.

“I’m nervous. My stomach is in knots,” Chel said as she entered the kitchen.

“Well?” Brenna prompted.

“I have to wait three minutes.”

“What do you think? I mean, obviously you think you might be, or you wouldn’t have called me and asked me to go to the store,” Brenna said.

“I’m late, which you know I never am. My breasts have been tender, and I’ve been nauseous,” Chel confessed.

Brenna grinned. “You could totally be pregnant.”

“Oh, God,” Chel moaned.

“This is a good thing. You wanted this. Chuck wants this. What are you oh, God-ing for?”

“What if I’m not a good mom? What if I can’t figure out what to do or what to say or—”

“You’ll be fine. I think you have a while to work on the ‘what to say’. I say go with your instinct. I’m pretty sure you can handle diapers and feeding and rocking, which is all you need to start out with. That and love, which you and Chuck have in spades,” Brenna reminded her. “Any child would be lucky to have you two as parents.”

“You think so?” Chel questioned.

“I know so,” Brenna assured her as the kettle whistled. “How about a cup of tea?”

“Yeah,” Chel said with a nod.

Brenna poured the water over the tea and left the mugs on the counter for the bags to steep. She glanced at the clock.

“It’s been three minutes,” she murmured.

“I can’t look, yet,” Chel whispered. “What if it’s negative? What if there’s no baby?”

“What if it’s positive?” Brenna countered.

“Will you look for me?” Chel asked. “Please?”

“Of course,” Brenna said and, giving her best friend’s hand a squeeze, she headed down the hall toward the bathroom.

Her heart pounded fast and furious, and her palms were sweaty. Lord, you would think this was her pregnancy test with how she was reacting to it. She took a deep, calming breath and shoved open the door. The stick was lying on the sink and, stepping inside, she glanced over to read it.

“Chel?” she called.

“Right here,” her friend said from the doorway, making Brenna jump. “Sorry,” Chel offered with a small smile. “I didn’t want to check, but I couldn’t sit and wait, either.” She nodded toward the test. “What’s it say?”

“Maybe you better sit down,” Brenna cautioned.

“Oh, God, it’s negative,” Chel said and dropped down on the closed toilet seat.

Brenna just looked at her then slowly shook her head, a smile blossoming on her lips. She watched her friend’s face change, saw the glow begin and felt her own heart swell. Chel’s hands dropped to her stomach.

“It’s positive?”

“It’s positive,” Brenna confirmed.

“I’m having a baby,” Chel whispered with awe.

“You’re having a baby,” Brenna agreed with a laugh.

“I have to call Chuck. I have to…” Chel trailed off and stood. Her whole face lit up with the smile that settled on her lips. “I’m going to have a baby.”

Brenna nodded. “Yes, you are.”

Then they grabbed each other and shrieked, laughing and crying then laughing some more. Brenna couldn’t help but think about the spell cast in the moonlight. Chel had lit a candle and read a spell to have her marriage blessed with a baby. Brenna had asked for love but had been unable to pick between Scott, Travis and Kyle. Thankfully, she still didn’t have to choose between them. She got to have all of them. And Chel was pregnant.

Maybe there was magic out there in the universe.

Thank you
she silently offered as she and Chel left the bathroom. They headed back to the kitchen and the hot tea that awaited them. Something caught Brenna’s gaze, and she glanced back, watching as a candle flickered to life on the counter behind them. The soft glow seemed to dance in celebration before slowly sputtering out, leaving a trail of smoke and the subtle scent of apples behind. Maybe there was such a thing as magic after all.
