He
powerfully held my thighs apart while he slammed himself into me. By this time he’d pushed me from one end of the table to the other. I leaned my head back over the edge and let my hair fall to the floor. I was nearing the point of release.

Sitting
up, I grabbed onto his broad shoulders and pushed him back onto the table. I frantically straddled him and placed my hands on his stomach to steady myself. My feet steadied underneath me, my high heels clicking against the wooden tabletop. Gavin wrapped his hands around my calves as I crouched on top of him.

I moved
steadily, my breasts bouncing as I bore down on him as hard as I could stand. I circled my hips with each movement and fought to keep my heels from sliding out from underneath me. My thighs started to burn as I continued to move on top of him with ruthless and uncontrolled movements. The way he grasped so needily at my body made me feel like he’d never wanted anyone the way he wanted me.

O
ften “damn” would fly from his lips and his grasp on my calves would stiffen.

I wanted to fuck him the way he fucked me
, relentlessly, savagely – like nothing else could satisfy this impure hunger.

Both of
Gavin’s hands groped at my breasts, his fingers digging deeper into my flesh.

“Fuck
,” he yelled, his fingers flinching into my skin, threatening to break its surface.

My body
grew warm and limp. Tossing my head back, I let out a long, pleased moan. I was no longer able to support myself as my body was defeated by the punishing wave of pleasure that slammed its way over me. My legs gave way beneath me and my knees hit the table hard. At the same time, Gavin  groaned and pushed on my hips to slow me down. I could feel myself tightening around him and he let out another moan.

“Shit,
” he groaned through a clenched jaw. He exhaled and closed his eyes and his head hit the table. His grip loosened and his jaw tightened. Gavin’s arms fell to his sides as his muscles relaxed from the endorphins now coursing through his veins.

I
covered him with my body; the contact from his damp skin satisfied that last piece of need I had as he lazily traced his fingers along my spine. My nerve endings were still sensitive and the sensuality of his touch made my back arch again. We lay on the cold conference table for a moment, the only sound, our rapid, uneven breathes.

Gavin sat up
, laughing slowly as he rubbed his fingers along his hairline. He looked down at me. “I don’t know how I’m going to handle the staff meeting on Monday. Every time I look at this table I’m going to think about how damn good you feel.”

He smiled as he
rose and reached for my hand, pulling me up. I sat on the edge of the table with my feet dangling and I drank in the sight of him standing completely naked at the end of the table.

I was thoroughly pleased with myself
.

Pu
lling my dress up, I buttoned it. Gavin spun me around and fastened the top two buttons, gently pushing my hair to the side as I turned back around. He placed his hands on my waist and gave me a sweet, sensual kiss. “I’ve never enjoyed sex so much as I do with you,” he said.

I
rested my head on his chest briefly, “Me either. It’s unbelievable.”

“Well, I guess we bett
er go meet your friends then, aye?” Gavin asked as he pulled his jeans on, shaking his shirt out before pushing his arms through the sleeves.

Smoothing my hair out, I replied,
“Yep. It’ll be interesting to see how Ashley acts.”

Chapter
Twenty-one

Brooke

My nerves were on edge and I felt lightheaded from the pending
introductions.

Gavin opened the door to the bar and I
ducked under his arm to walk through. I was afraid to find out what Gavin would think of my friends. He seemed so poised and sophisticated, and my friends were — anything but. I’d envisioned Constance complimenting him on his “mad skills” in the bedroom; feared Ashley would get so drunk she’d use a horrible, slurred English accent to imitate some of the dirty things I’d told her he’d said; and Colton and Adam – well, I was just praying that I had on more makeup than them.

S
canning through the dimly lit room, I spotted Constance and Adam at the bar. I took a deep breath and grabbed Gavin’s hand, leading him toward the bar. Constance looked over and a humongous smile formed on her face.

“Well
, nice of you to show up, Brooke,” Constance said and stretched her right arm out, placing it around my neck. “So, you must be Gavin?” she said, her eyes skimming over him and then blatantly focusing on his crotch. Her smile stretched even further across her face.

I pulled my l
ower lip in and tried to control the urge I had to whack her in the back of the head.

Gavin pulled his hand out of his pocket and extended it to Constance. “Yes
, Constance, right?”

Constance cut
her eyes over at me and smirked. “Uh-huh. So nice to meet you. I’ve heard
a lot
about you.”

My eyes widened a
nd I tried to subconsciously tell her to shut the hell up. I didn’t want Gavin to know I’d been having shower fantasies about him since my first week at work.

Gavin
’s gaze darted over to me as he smiled. “Oh, is that so?” He put his hand back in his pocket and jingled his keys. “Only nice things, I hope?”

Constance took a s
wig of her beer and set it back down on the countertop. “Oh, yes,
very
nice things!”

S
tepping between the two of them, I pointed at Adam. “This is Adam. Adam, this is Gavin.”

Adam shook Gavin’s hand and said,
“Nice to meet you, man.”

“Brooke me
ntioned that you play in a band, what do you play?” Gavin asked.

“Oh, I play the guitar.”

With that Adam and Gavin started talking, which was a relief for me. Not only did it get him away from Constance and her blubbering mouth, but it proved that Gavin wasn’t awkward in a social setting with people he didn’t know, taking the edge off of my nerves.

I leaned against the back of
Constance’s chair. She flipped the bottom of my hair and moved over to me.

“He’s fucking hot. Holy shit
, Brooke, it almost hurts to look at him! I’m not gonna lie — I got a little moist when he shook my hand and opened his mouth. That accent tipped my bucket right over.” She drew in a short breath to try and calm herself down. “I mean, you seriously have had sex with him?” Peeking over at him, her eyes widened as she turned back around. “Oh, my God, I think if I just saw him naked I could get off,” she paused. Her eyes blazed in an eccentric plea as she asked, “Can I smell him?”

I shook my head
. “What?” I knew she was nuts, but this was a little odd, even for her.

“I just want to take a quick little
whiff. I bet he smells like hot sex and money!”

I con
tinued shaking my head at her as I said, “You’re crazy. No, you can’t smell him!”

“Oh, com
e on, Brooke, don’t be so selfish.”

“Uh-
uh. Nope. Don’t even try it! I don’t need him thinking you’re psychotic. If I thought you could do it without being so obviously creepy I would say yes, but I know you and you’ll go over there and take a long sniff, roll your eyes back in your head, and say something like, ‘oh, yeah, that’s fucking awesome.’ ”

Gavin
made his way back over to me and I glared at Constance. “No sniffing,” I said sternly. She hung her head in disappointment and then tipped her bottle back in an effort to savor the remaining drops of her beer.

Gavin
placed his hand on my shoulder. “What’d you want to drink?”

“A mojito
.”

Gavin
walked to an open spot at the bar to order our drinks. I turned back to Constance and saw Ashley and Colton come in.

“Oh God,
” Constance snarled. She sounded disgusted as she glanced over at the two of them. “I swear to God, they better just keep their hands off of each other. They’re so gross. No consideration for the public.” She made a gagging sound in her throat before continuing, “They’ll just shove their tongues down each other’s throats anywhere. We can’t even go out to dinner without her grabbing his crotch at the table.”

“Whoa,
grossing you out a little there?” I tried not to laugh at her.

“Uh, yea
h, it’s a little ridiculous.”

A
shley spotted us and headed our way. She was dressed provocatively in a tight white dress and gold heels. Colton was holding her hand as they snaked their way through the crowd. He had on a black t-shirt and jeans and of course his eyeliner, and his hair was spiked with gel that made it look like it was made of plastic.

Here we go
.

“Hey
, Brooke,” Ashley dropped Colton’s hand and pranced over to me. Her eyes shot over at Gavin standing by the end of the bar and lit up with anticipation, and, trying to match her face with each emotion, she asked, “So, what’s the deal? Should I act like I’m shocked, stunned, amazed, or like I completely expected to see him here?”

“He knows you know,
” I said. She looked slightly disappointed and then I saw a gleam in her heavily eye-shadowed eyes. “No,” I insisted. “Don’t be trying to make crude comments, and I swear if you make blow job motions behind his back I will take my damn shoe off and hit you in your head.”

“Fine. Just take all the fun out of it.”
Pouting, she went to the bar and took a seat next to Colton.

Gavin
came up with our drinks. He handed mine to me and then tilted his beer bottle up.

“Beer?” I asked. “Now, that doesn’t scream British
— excuse me — English, doctor,” I smiled at him.

He glanced over and s
potted Ashley. “Well, this should be interesting,” he groaned before taking another quick swig of his beer.

Ashley smil
ed, waving shyly as her and Colton headed toward us. “Hey, Dr. Hunter.”

“Ashley, you can call me Gavin. Please don’t call me Dr. Hunter,
especially
when we’re in a bar,” Gavin said.

Her cheeks blushed
and she nervously chewed on her lip. “Sorry…habit… Oh, this is my boyfriend Colton.”

Gavin put his h
and out to shake Colton’s hand. “Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too
,” Colton said, shaking Gavin’s hand.

S
ilence fell over our group. Everyone was staring at us, not exactly sure how to act. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Gavin placed his beer on the bar top and said, “Okay, well, shall we go ahead and get this out of the way?” Yanking me to him, he gave me a long and passionate kiss. As he pulled away he smiled, his hand rubbing across the top of my arm as he turned to the group and said, “Now, since that’s out of the way, you can all stop acting so peculiar.”

Well, that was pretty damn hot. I could totally get into voyeurism,” Constance said with her bottle pressed up against her lips.

Ashley
stood motionless, an expressionless stare on her face. When she noticed me eyeing her, her lips strained up into halfhearted smile.

We all sat around the bar talking. Gavin, Colton
, and Adam seemed to get along pretty well. Gavin was so easy going that I couldn’t imagine him not getting along with anyone.

Me, Constance, and Ashle
y excused ourselves and went to the restroom. I was standing at the sink freshening up my makeup while Ashley and Constance continued to express their jealousy of me scoring such an attractive man. My phone beeped and I pulled it from my purse.

“If that’s him sending you some gushy te
xt I’m going to strangle myself,” Ashley called out from a stall.

I pulled my phone out
and glanced at the screen. “Shit,” I screamed when I opened the text message.

Constance and Ashley flushed the toilet
s and came out. Constance was still trying to button her jeans as she staggered out to the sinks. I stood there and stared at the message. There were three attachments and all of them were pictures of me and Gavin; one of us kissing.

“Shit, shit, shit!” I ran my hands through the top of my hair.

“What?” Constance asked. “It’s Dan, isn’t it?” Her eyes grew larger and she threw her arms in the air. “What the hell is his fucking problem?”

I was
on the verge of crying because I knew that these were damning pictures. “He sent pictures of me and Gavin kissing,” I blurted out.

“What?
” They shouted in unison as they crowded around me, glaring down at the pictures on my screen.

“Holy fuck!” Constan
ce yelled. “That’s from tonight. Is that psycho here again? What the hell? He’s seriously stalking you, Brooke.”

Ashley covered her
opened mouth with her hand. “Oh, my God. He truly is psychotic.” She shook her head. “Why would he do this?”

I
was in shock, racking my brain trying to figure out what to do.

“Uh-
uh.” Constance paced the small area in front of the sinks and hand dryers. The sound of her heels bounced off the tiled walls. “Not gonna happen. He’s trying to blackmail you.” She stopped suddenly, biting the thumb of her left hand as she fumbled through her purse with her right.

“What’
re you looking for?” I asked her.

“My phone.
I’m texting Colton.”

Ashley
and I exchanged confused looks.

“Colton will beat his ass,
” Constance said as she furiously typed out a text message.

I grab
bed the handle to the door and Constance slammed the door closed again. “Don’t go out there. Just stay here.” Her phone rang and she answered, “Hey…yep, the same guy from the other weekend…I don’t know, he’s psychotic…he sent pictures of her and Gavin…okay…” she hung up her phone.

I’
d worked myself up to the point of becoming nauseous. Bracing myself against the porcelain sink, I stared at Constance’s reflection in the mirror.

Constance looked
over at Ashley. “Colton wants you to find the psycho and show him where he’s at. Then him and Adam are gonna get him outside and take his phone.”

I stood there in disbelief that this was really happening. A few weeks ago
my life was completely normal, damn close to boring — and now I was in a seemingly forbidden relationship
and
had a stalker?

What the hell?

Constance bolted out the door and Ashley and I followed her into the bar. I was internally freaking out. My heart was skipping, my skin was moist with sweat, and I thought I was close to hyperventilating as I frantically scanned the crowd to spot Dan. Just as I walked over to Gavin I found Dan down by the stage. He was perched against the edge of the stage, one leg crossed in front of the other, the electronic glow from the screen on his phone casting an eerie shadow on his Quasimodoish face. “He’s by the stage,” I whispered to Constance.

She and
Ashley looked over, and I made my way back to Gavin. Constance called Colton over to her. I watched as she whispered in his ear, Ashley was standing beside her. Colton glanced over to the stage and pushed his sleeves up. His nostrils flared and his gaze honed in on Dan. I kept glancing over my shoulder to see what was happening.

“What’s wrong?” Gavin touched my leg
. “You all right?”

“Yea
h, I’m just tired.”

“You ready to go?” he asked
, brushing my hair behind my shoulder, his eyes focused on my lips.

I
watched  Adam and Colton close in on Dan. As they approached, Dan looked up and somewhat lost his balance. Adam and Colton cornered him and I saw Dan shaking his head. Adam grabbed Dan’s arm, jerking him away from the stage and pulling him in the direction of the emergency exit.

“Brooke?” Gavin’s voice startled me
and I jumped.

“Huh
? Yeah — I’m sorry. Let me finish my drink,” I said and redirected my eyes toward Gavin.

R
ubbing my shoulders with his hands, he said, “You that tired?” He smiled and positioned his mouth over my ear. “I was hoping I could take you home and do all types of dirty things to you again.”
