The 1-pound size is also known as a sampler loaf, and is perfect for one or two people, especially if you like to make fresh bread every day. Here are a few basic recipes created to make some special 1-pound loaves. You’ll find recipes for plain white and egg breads, as well as a couple whole-grain loaves and a sweet bread. Of course, to make a 1-pound loaf from any of the other recipes in this book, all you have to do is cut the measurements for the 2-pound loaf in half.
