Ok,

was all she said as her
hands cupped my face.

You okay?

I asked.

I will be,

she responded as she
lightly kissed my lips. My cock grew as she slowly wiggled her warm body
against it.

Sunshine,

I groaned as I moved to get
out of the bed.

Ok, I

ll
stop,

she promised as she clung
to me. Sunshine gently ran her hands through my hair. My eyes closed on their
own accord as I relished in her touch. Her warm breath fanned across my cheek.
I opened my eyes to find Campbell staring back at me. She brushed her lips
across mine. She pulled back slightly taking in my smile.

What
has you smiling?

You,

I answered honestly as I
pulled her back down to me and pressed my lips to hers. I felt her smile in
return. A knock on the door had me pulling away.

You
ready?

Knox yelled through the
door.

Ten minutes,

I hollered.

Five,

Knox joked back.

Asshole.

Campbell

s
laughter filled the room. I would never tire of that sound. A smile spread
across my face as I leaned in and placed another kiss to her lips.

I
gotta shower.

Yes you do.

She joked, but grimaced as
she sat up.

Aren

t
you sore?

she
asked as I helped her to stand.

I will be when I finally
rest,

I said as she looked me
over.

Maybe we should stay for
the night so you can.

Her concern for me was evident.

Knox is waiting and we
should get back. I am sure we are on lockdown by now.

You

re
probably right.

I placed a chaste kiss to her lips before
heading to the bathroom.

My shower was quick as I washed away
too much blood, some of my own and a lot of theirs. I was dressed and out of
the bathroom right as a horn honked. Knox was so impatient.

We

re
coming,

I griped. My body fought
against me the entire time as aches and pains assaulted my body for the first
time since this shit show started.

You ok?

The look of concern on
Sunshine

s
face had me pulling her into my body.

Yes,

I replied as I kissed her
forehead.

Let

s
get back.

She
nodded as I led her out of the room. I opened the passenger door to Knox

s
truck and Campbell slowly climbed up and into the middle seat.

Everything good?

Knox asked as he stood on
the other side looking over at me. I looked at Campbell smiling back at me and
then to Knox,

Never better.

We sped all the way to the clubhouse.
Sunshine had snuggled up against me as I lay my head against the top of hers.
We must have both fallen asleep because we woke when the floodlights from the
clubhouse blasted the darkness that surrounded us away.

The minute we pulled into the gates a
sense of relief washed over me as Campbell let out a sigh of relief. There were
more bikes than I could ever remember seeing at one time lined up along the
fence. When I looked up at the clubhouse I saw Logan running towards us. Campbell
was already scrambling across my lap to get out of the car. She was off my lap
and out of the car before I even registered that she was there.

Campbell

Cam,

Logan sobbed as she took me
in her arms. I breathed in her pear scent and hugged her tighter to me as she
did the same to me. The rumble of male voices behind us told me that we had
company as I began to pull away from Logan.

Not
yet,

she whispered as she
squeezed me tighter. More rumbling and back slapping could be heard, with Tank

s
deep timbre sending a shiver down my spine.

I sighed as I realized that the events
of the last two days were finally over. The exhaustion was starting to take
root deep in my bones; I finally understood what bone tired meant. My eyes were
heavy as I felt someone stand next to us.

My turn,

Colt said as he hugged both
Logan and I. I was transferred from her arms to his. He pulled me tightly
against him.

Hey little sis,

he murmured as I snuggled
deeper into his warmth.

You

re
safe now.

I
nodded my head against his chest fighting the tears that welled in my eyes.

Hey
brother,

Colt said, as tingles ran
down my body like they always did when Tank was near.

She needs to rest,

Tank stated as he scooped
me up into his arms. My head came to rest against his heart.

We
can all talk after.

She is exhausted,

Logan agreed, following
right behind us as he started to walk inside.

Just
put her in Colt

s room and I

ll
take . . .

Logan
never finished as Tank swung back around.

Damn,

I heard from a few
brothers. I looked up to see Logan frozen in place so I tilted up my head to
see Tank glaring at her as if she was trying to take his favorite new toy away.

Where?

Tank croaked as he turned
back around. His body tense as we walked to the clubhouse.

Colt

s
room,

replied Logan.

NOOO! I thought as Tank continued
through the clubhouse and up the stairs to the second floor. Things would be
different now. He made it seem like everything would be better. Boy was I
wrong! I felt my heart cracking as pain pierced my soul. He really did not want
me.

Tank came to stop outside what I
guessed was Colt

s room. When he did not
move to go inside I looked up to see him looking at me with those same black
eyes. Tears sprang to my eyes at what I did not see looking back at me.

CHAPTER
TWELVE

Tank

There was no way in hell Sunshine was
sleeping anywhere but with me. I knew Logan was just being a good sister and
looking out for Campbell but there was no fucking way.

I kept telling myself that it was
because Crazy Z started a war and I needed to keep an eye on her until this
shit was over, but it was just an excuse to get in her my bed. There was no
other place I wanted her to be, but with me. I needed sleep and the only way I
was going to get it was if Campbell was tucked in next to me the entire time. I
was too tired to fight it tonight. She was MINE.

Campbell finally looked up at me after
I stood outside my door for what seemed like an eternity. Hurt, rejection, and
a dying spark of hope shone through those baby browns. Tears welled in her eyes
as she looked into mine. The mask I wore for most people was firmly in place
and I knew she saw nothing. Campbell needed to know that this side of me
existed since it was the only side she would see very soon.

Just breathe motherfucker. Just breathe.

I set Campbell down as I unlocked my
door. Once the door was open I scooped her back up, not stopping until she was
laid in the middle of my bed. On her forehead, I placed a soft kiss before I
turned back towards the door.

Please,

she breathed. A small sob
filled the quiet in the room. I turned back around to see tears streaking down
her cheeks.

Don

t
go,

she pleaded.

I clenched and unclenched my hands,
wanting nothing more than to touch her; for her to find comfort in my touch as
she had back in the motel room. I fought against this urge and I turned back to
the door. Another sob followed me as I took hold of the door. With a deep
breath, I closed the door and locked it.

Tank?

The question in her voice
killed me because I put it there.

I

m
here Sunshine.

I
turned around slowly not knowing what I would find behind me.

So this is your room,

she laughed-cried. It was
more of a statement than a question as she looked around the room, taking it
all in.

Yes,

I replied, taking one step
towards the bed.

You want me here?

The question took me off
guard, as if she heard the internal dialogue I have been wrestling with since
our ride away from that makeshift camp. Her eyes still stared at the opposite
wall.

I do,

I answered. Another step. I
needed her eyes on me but she was being stubborn with her attention.

Who did that?

Campbell questioned as her
eyes ran over the Soul Reaper emblem that was carved into the wooden wall.

I did.

Look at me!

Sunshine,

I whispered, hating that
she denied me what I wanted. I took another step closer and was at the bottom
of the bed.

It

s
beautiful,

she
murmured, finally making eye contact with me.

So are you,

I said, slowly stripping
out of my clothes, my eyes never leaving hers.

My name was a reverent sigh on her
perfect lips as I crawled onto the bed in nothing but my boxer briefs. Her
brown eyes widened as the gold flecks glowed; that spark of desire growing
within them. My cock stood lengthened and thickened as I buried my nose into
her hair. She was so responsive to my touch.  A tremble raced through Campbell,
leaving goose bumps in its wake.

Sunshine,

I hummed.

Yes.

Her breathy response caused
my cock to harden.

Get undressed.

She nodded as she stood up
and slowly, so slowly, revealed herself to me piece by mother-fucking piece.
Sunshine

s
beauty shone even more in nothing but a white cotton bra and panties.

I want you,

she breathed. Damn if my
dick did not like the sound of those three simple words.

Damn it!
No
matter how much my body craved hers we both needed sleep more than we needed
sex. Plus I knew if I ever got a taste of her it would never be enough. I
lifted the covers indicating for her to join me.

So perfect.

I whispered as she joined
me in the bed. Sunshine pressed her perfect body right up against me as she ran
her fingers along my neckline. My body reacted to her touch, shuddering in
response. My reaction had Campbell closing the small distance between us as her
lips found mine. I ended the kiss before it really started as I used my body to
push her back into the mattress. I placed a lingering kiss at the curve of her
neck.
