He whispered in her ear, “You like being watched?”
“Yes!”
“I can smell how worked up he is watching me shove my cock
in your pussy.”
“Me too.” The rear door of the truck rattled each time her behind
banged back from the force of Cass jamming inside her. “Unnhh, feels good.”
“Is he touching himself? Is he rubbing the front of his
pants?”
“Oh God, Cass,
yes
!”
“You want to come?”
“Please, please,” she moaned.
Flipping so his shoulders rested against the trailer, he
pulled her tighter to his body. His fingernails dug into her flesh, forcing
Harlow to squeal with pleasure. “Yeah, yeah…harder!”
“Take it out, man; go ahead and jerk off while you watch me
fuck my woman.”
His woman!
Had Harlow heard right? The idea of being Castle Briggs’s
woman set her body on fire. She hiked up and down on his cock faster and
searched out his mouth. Kissing him hard before pushing her tongue in, Harlow
rode his shaft. “Come…come…ooh, I’m coming.” Cream slid from her and his cock
seemed to thicken even more as Cass continued his invasion of her pussy.
“Look at him. I want you to see when he shoots his load.”
She turned her head in time to catch the stranger spout semen into the air.
Harlow thought she had come all she could but she felt more
liquid seep from her as she watched the man ejaculate. “Ohhh God,” she cried.
“Shit,” the trucker hollered as he furiously pumped his cock
through fingers shiny with cum. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he shouted as pearly drops
continued to slide from the slit.
“Now, darlin’, take it.” Cass drove into her with vengeance.
He slammed every inch of cock in and out, again and again. Harlow felt his body
shudder before he thrust in once, twice more, and then she felt warm cream
shoot into her vagina. “Jesusfuckingchrist!” he roared, holding her pressed
tight to his chest. After catching his breath, Castle pushed his hand through
her sweat-dampened hair and planted a gentle kiss on her lips. “Damn, babe,
that was good.”
The man continued to play with his semi-hard cock until
Castle said, “Show’s over.”
“Uhh, you’re on my truck.”
“Shit, dude, sorry.” He eased Harlow back and while she
leaned against him, Cass pulled her pants up and closed them before zipping
his. Drawing Harlow away from the truck, he winked at the driver. “Have a good
trip, man.” He peered at her strangely for a few seconds before saying, “Let’s
ride.”
Thank goodness Castle held her hand through the store and
out front to his motorcycle because Harlow’s legs trembled. Sitting on his bike,
he drew her between his thighs. “You really like being watched?”
Her cheeks grew warm. “Watching can make me come too.”
“So fucking wonderful.” Grabbing the back of her neck, he
held tight as his lips smothered hers and his tongue searched for entrance. Cass
plundered Harlow’s mouth. Licking her lips after he released her neck, he gazed
at her with another odd look. “You’re special.”
One thought still played through Harlow’s mind.
His woman
.
Harlow enjoyed voyeurism as much as Castle did. Wolves
couldn’t help it that their animal got carried away and couldn’t quite
appreciate the delightful stimulation achieved observing the act of sex. They
always participated. Cass had honed his control to give him the ability to take
pleasure in seeing others fuck. Harli mirrored his carnal desires perfectly. He
was an alpha wolf and would always dominate, would always seek a submissive to
satisfy his need, and in her, he found just what he had dreamed. The idea of
letting her go made him sick to his stomach and his thinking about it disturbed
the animal in him who prowled and clawed for release. Maybe Hatch could keep an
eye on her while he took a short run through the forest to dispel his
anxiousness. They’d lost more than twenty minutes on the highway so Cass gave
the bike full throttle and marveled at how well Harlow held her seat behind
him.
He had never imagined finding anyone this in tune with his
body. Each curve, every steep climb and straightaway, she rolled with him like
a pro. Wasn’t long before he spied Hatch.
Jesus!
All the wolves would
know he’d taken her a short while ago. Keeping the pack calm was going to be
tough enough but with his and Harli’s scent filling the air, the task bordered
on impossible. Perhaps he should have left her in the Valley.
Damn it.
Wanting
to get the trip over with, he blasted by Hatch as if a demon rode his heels.
His second would keep up. After another half hour, they left the highway, drove
for a few miles and pulled into the lot of a small bar off the beaten path. A
splinter group of wolves from his pack controlled and frequented The Haven.
Neither pack held animosity toward the other; in fact it worked out well to
have friends in Big Bear.
Leaving their bikes, they headed to the front door.
Hatch snorted and asked, “Was it necessary for you to ride
in front so I had to smell your funky ass?”
“Funky?”
“Stinking. Funky—you pick it.”
Cass glared at his beta. “You okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“Don’t talk to me like that again, Gris.”
“You don’t get it, do you?”
Castle tugged Harli to his side. “Honey, go ahead in. These
are shifters we know, and you’ll be safe. I need a few words with Hatch.” His
nostrils flared, sniffing the air for Sikes Barnes, a strong alpha who led the
mountain wolves. He decided to trust him to keep his dogs under control and
away from his woman once he noted Castle had marked her. Christ. The second
time today he’d thought of Harlow as his and attempting to process the piece of
information standing toe-to-toe with Hatch made him restless.
“Don’t be long.”
“I won’t.” She went up the steps and disappeared through the
door. He turned to his beta. “What’s up?”
“Hell if I know.”
Castle had an idea. He’d felt the same each time a member of
his pack found someone.
Shit, no!
Early in the relationship, they’d reek
of each other’s aroma, and when they had sex, the scent was palpable enough to
be tasted when other shifters opened their mouths to breathe. “What do you want
me to do about it?”
“Hell if I know.”
“You said that.”
“I’ll miss your company.”
“Damn, Hatch, I’m not going anywhere.” He stared at the door
to the bar. “It’s not like…”
“I don’t care if you lie to me.” Hatch studied him. “Stop
lying to yourself, Cass.”
“What do you mean?”
His friend took the steps two at a time and turned to look
at him when he reached the top. “You’re mated, dude, and like it or not, it’s
to a human.”
“Fuck you.”
“Back to that, did you really have to make me smell…”
Castle reached down, picked up a large stone, and rearing
back, he threw it at Hatch who ducked. The sound of glass shattering brought
more than a few wolves to the door. “Son of a bitch.”
Hatch’s laughter didn’t have the same effect it did in the
Valley—this time it made Cass angry.
Mated! To a human?
“No. Fucking. Way.”
“Are you all right?”
He glanced up the steps to see Harlow squinting. “I’m okay.”
Reaching her, he asked, “Want to see my wolf?”
“What?”
“You heard me.” Why was he taking his anger out on Harlow?
“I’m not sure…”
He glared at her with burning eyes he knew flashed yellow.
“Not sure about what?”
Confusion wrinkled her brow. “Castle?”
Mated. “Goddamn it.” No need to be upset with her, or anyone
else for that matter, yet it settled about his throat like a yoke. He didn’t
like it. “Get inside, Harlow.”
Harli’s eyes misted over and it tore his heart wide open.
“Screw you, bastard.” She stumbled backward into The Haven.
Castle wasn’t sure how long he stood there staring into the
woods, wanting more than anything to release his animal. It wasn’t until a
burst of laughter reached him from inside the bar that he remembered Harlow was
in there with a bunch of randy-ass shifters. Snatching the door open, Cass
entered and spotted her immediately.
She leaned across the pool table, butt in the air, and five
or so wolves stared down his woman’s cleavage. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Very inappropriate to show emotion in front of the others, and his anger was
absolutely uncalled for, but it burst from him like a rocket boosting into the
air.
Grinning, she replied, “Cleaning these boys out.”
“You need money?” Castle couldn’t stop himself as he reached
in his pocket, pulled out a wad of cash and tossed it on the table. “Is that
enough?”
All the wolves cleared the area except Hatch. “Come on, man,
let’s take a run,” he said to Cass. He turned to Harlow. “You’ll be okay?”
“Just get him out of my sight.”
The snarl Cass emitted came from his animal. He attempted to
step toward her when the Big Bear alpha, Sikes, grabbed him from behind. “Easy,
you don’t want to do this.”
“Yeah, I do, I want to spank her ass until she cries.”
Dropping the pool stick, Harlow walked to stand in front of
Cass while the others restrained him. “Is that what you want? You want to see
me cry?” She shoved a lock of hair from her forehead and glowered. Pulling his
hand to cover her heart, she whispered, “I am crying, I’m screwed up… I’m a
freak.” Letting his hand go, she continued to glare. “Don’t ever come at me
with anger again.” She grabbed the pool cue and shook it. “Maybe I’ll ram
something up your ass.” Harlow scooped up the money and hurled it back at him.
“And I don’t need your damn money. Men who have it to throw around always think
it makes everything okay. You can’t buy me, Castle.”
Well fuck me
. The fury he felt dissipated immediately
as he watched Harlow walk back to the table and call out, “Who’s next?”
Hatch followed him outside. “Are you nuts?”
“Huh?” Christ, Harlow had balls. He twisted toward his
friend. “What did you say?”
“You okay?”
“I’m good. I’m good.” The wolf mate he never thought he’d
find just happened to be dressed in human skin, and damn, she was something
else. “I think you’re right.” He adjusted his dick. “She’s my mate.”
“You came to this conclusion how?”
“Did you see her threaten to jam a stick up my ass?”
“We all did.” Hatch grunted. “I think she may have done it.”
He smiled as the idea sank in. Harlow Hardison truly
belonged to him. “Yeah.”
Jumping to the ground, he pivoted to see Hatch scratch his
head. “How do you plan to fix this? ’Cause she’s pretty pissed off.”
“I wouldn’t have hurt her and you know that. I got hot
seeing them all ogling her, and I guess… Well, shit, I got a little possessive
and domineering.” Again he nudged his cock, which continued to swell. “Only
happens with wolves.”
“You and that Dom shit. No way in hell you’d let another man
touch her.”
“
She
can touch a man, yes, but not a wolf.” He tilted
his head. “Too much animal in us to be curbed.” Rubbing the stubble on his
chin, he added, “Nobody touches her but me unless I allow it.”
“Maybe she’s not ready for your dominating bullshit.”
“She’s more than ready—Harlow is willing and able.” That
brought to mind the truck stop. He damn near invited the man to rub his cock on
Harlow’s ass instead of jerking off. He contemplated how she’d feel about
touching a man while he fucked her.
“By the way, seems the pups did hook up with another young
bunch that arrived early this morning.”
“Let’s find them.”
“What are you going to do about Harlow?”
“She thinks she’s a freak.” Something else bothered Castle.
Harlow seemed extremely upset about the money.
Men who have it
. It also
brought to mind the incident at The Moat when she accused him of paying for her
dinner. Then there was the time she’d asked if he was a wealthy jackass. What
had happened to make her use those words and what would her reaction be to just
how much he did have? He pushed it to the back of his mind for now, yet he
began to wonder how he’d handle telling her. Hatch pulled him from the
distressing thought.
“She’ll blow off steam cleaning them out as she put it.
She’ll be fine, Cass.”
His lips twitched into a grin. “You’re right, I just have to
give her time to digest this whole business. Come on. Sikes won’t let anything
happen.” Cass had stripped off his clothes and laid them in a neat pile on the
steps. Rolling his shoulders, he signaled his wolf to the surface.
Black hair grew so thick on his face he could see it
bristling out through eyes he knew would be all yellow now. He could change on
the fly but occasionally he enjoyed watching his beast emerge limb by limb.
Slamming hands to the ground, he let his bones pop and stretch, forming sinewy
legs. His back arched as his spine lengthened to fit his long, heavy body.
Castle was the largest wolf in the area and he reveled in watching paws the
size of softballs populate with razor-sharp claws. Muscular, sleek and fully
emerged, he sent a vocal message to every creature on the mountain.
Castle Briggs was home.
Raising his head, he opened his mouth and howled so loud it
shook nearby trees, sending a spray of leaves to surround his feet. Castle
watched as the door slammed open and Harlow stepped onto the porch. He gazed at
her, tongue lolling, and salivated before following Hatch’s smaller wolf to the
edge of the forest. His animal spun around and stood on hind legs, emitting
another heart-rending howl before vanishing inside the trees.
That one was for Harlow.
Mine!
* * * * *
Harlow shivered at the eerie, lonely-as-hell sound Castle’s
wolf made. His animal was spectacular. Still, as she waited on the porch, residual
anger bubbled over at how crass the
man
had treated her earlier.
Sikes finally came to get her. “Come on in, they’ll be an
hour or so.”
“How do you know?”
“He was born here.” He shrugged. “Been awhile since Castle
visited this neck of the woods. He’s become a desert rat.”
“Don’t call him names.”
“Don’t be so damn defensive. I’m trying to help.”
“Sorry.” She followed him in and took a seat at the small
bar. “Gin, straight up.”
“Not the usual lady’s drink.”
“What did you expect? A freaking grasshopper or a…” She was
doing it again. “Sikes, I’m not usually like this.”
“I get it and I think you’re handling this pretty well.”
Scratching his head, he added, “There’s nothing
usual
about a human
taking a wolf as a mate.”
“What?”
“Shit, you don’t know.”
“Know what?”
“You smell like him.”
“He put his scent on me.”
“When did
you
put yours on him?”
“Huh?”
“You don’t have much of a vocabulary, do you?”
“Smart-ass.”
“You’re right, sorry.” He poured their drinks, came around
the bar and sat beside her. “The only reason he’d take on your scent is because
you’re mated.”
“What in hell does that mean?”
“You belong to him.”
She shook her head. “No one owns me.” The words brought to
mind her very recent declaration not to tie herself to one man. “Guess I
haven’t broken my vow.”
“Excuse me?”
“Just a promise I made to myself.” A long sigh whistled
through her lips. “But what if… I mean earlier I thought he would…”
“Don’t tell me you’re afraid?” He chuckled. “Could have
fooled me the way you stood up to him.” Sikes examined her closely. “He, nor
his wolf, will ever harm you.”
“I’m not sure if it’s fear of him and what he is or fear of
being misunderstood again.” Absently staring at the door, waiting for it to
open and Castle to come bounding through, Harlow added, “Tying myself to a wolf
shifter didn’t quite cross my mind when I woke up yesterday.” Her heart
ricocheted back and forth between her ribs. Sikes was right because try as she
might, Harlow couldn’t imagine Cass harming her in any way. Strength and
confidence dripped from his pores as a man, and the wolf exuded the same
control from what she observed briefly before he disappeared into the forest.
“The choice is no longer yours.”
“I could leave.”
“Sweetheart, as long as you’re alive, he’ll find you.”
“God!”
“Well, it is how
He
made us. Must be some reason.”
“I could have gone any place I wanted but it felt right when
I moved here.” Filling her lungs with air and expelling it repeatedly slowed
her erratic heartbeat. “Is he always so domineering?” Harlow already knew the
answer because she was quite aware the habit followed him to the bedroom as
well as other places. The scene at the truck stop entered her mind, causing a
bead of sweat to trickle down her back. What would Cass have done if the
trucker attempted to touch her? Jesus, she hadn’t told Cass she was married! What
would he do when that became known?
