In architecture, a combination of the Corinthian capital's rows of acanthus leaves with the volutes, slightly reduced in size, of the Ionic Order. A late development within the classical world.
composite tool
[De].
A tool which combines different materials such as a bone harpoon with stone points and barbs set in it, or a wooden arrow with a shaped stone point at the tip.

A type of late Neolithic

found in northwestern Europe in which two or more rings of pillars are set inside one another with a common centre. The most famous example is
STONEHENGE, WILTSHIRE, UK,
where in Phase 3 there are four concentric rings that focus on the altar stone.
conchoidal fracture

A term that describes the way in which flint and other silica-based isotropic materials behave when hit by a hard object or are subject to great pressure. Because the material has the same physical properties in all directions, ripples radiate outwards from the point of percussion or applied pressure, appearing fairly clearly on the ventral surface of a detached flake or blade, generally resembling the surface of a mussel shell.
