Pulling his lips away, he drops his forehead to mine. Finally having my lips free, I can reply to what he just said.

“Love you too, dick.”

He smiles, and his mouth opens as if to reply when there’s movement by the door and the sound of wood smacking against the dresser.

“What the fuck are you doing, Deeds, and where the hell is my sister? What the fuck is that smell? Are you fucking in there?”

Holy shit! My brother!

“Untie me! Right the fuck now!” I keep my voice low so Zack can’t hear me. Deeds makes fast work of the knots, releasing my wrists as I slide my bra and shirt back into place. The dresser falls over when Zack shoves the door open. When he steps into the room, Deeds leaves the bed to meet him half-way.
Naked
.

Springing out of the bed, I manage to step in front of Deeds, at the same time Zack tries to hit him. Deeds’ arm goes around my wrist, yanking me out of the way while his other arm blocks the punch. Zack freezes. “Fuck! Lynn, why the hell did you do that?”

What the hell? The fucker almost punches my face and somehow that’s
my
fault?

“I could ask you the same fucking question, asshole! Get out of my bedroom,
now
!” My eyes flash behind Zack and see Blue standing there. A bottle of Tequila in each hand. Her eyes are at dick level as I turn to take a quick look behind me.

“Blue! Get your fucking eyes off my dick!” My voice almost a growl.

Zack turns in one sweep, picking up Blue and removing her from the room. Stepping back with one foot he says, “Get some fucking clothes on so I can come in here and kick your ass.”

I love him but I’ve had it with his thoughtful, albeit over-protective, attitude. I’m not a fucking baby or his to protect any more. Raising my voice I point my finger at him.

“Don’t you fucking dare lay one hand on my soon-to-be husband. I’m no longer yours to protect, I’m his. Besides, he could fucking kick your ass with one leg and arm tied behind his back while wearing a blindfold, you asshole!”

Deeds’ arms wrap tight my waist, his head dipping to the crook of my neck. His breathing picks up as he whispers in my ear, while I keep staring at my brother’s shocked face.

“Soon to be husband? I don’t remember asking you, love.” He nips at my ear staying in place while my brother gathers himself and looks at my hands.

Zack’s voice bellows through the room. “I don’t see a fucking ring and I’ll raise hell before I marry you off to the Prez of another fucking MC!”

Thinking fast, I reply. “He fucking asked me today! That’s why I called Blue! She was gonna ink my ring on. Blue, did you bring your kit?”

Blue’s head appears around the doorway, a smug smile on her face and crinkles in her eyes. I fucking know she’s got my back. Always.

“In the trunk, bitch! I only had two hands and we need to get some alcohol into you before I can get some ink on your skin, remember?”

Fuck, yeah! I love my girl. “Right! Well, Zack. Raise hell and bring it to the fucking wedding. Should be a nice theme for us, don’t you think, Deeds?”

“You know it, love. Now, you both get the fuck out of here so we can put some clothes on and talk like decent people in the living room.”

Zack leaves cursing with Blue’s laughter drowning out the sound. Deeds spins me around and pulls me tight against his hard body.

“You gonna ink your property patch today?”

There’s so much emotion in his eyes. Fuck! I wasn’t planning on it and somehow I’m not ready. Shit! “You heard me, right? It’s a ring, she’s gonna ink me a ring.”

Disappointment flashes through his eyes before it’s gone.

“So we
are
engaged, right?”

Smiling, I say, “See, you do know how to pay attention. Stupid, how you don’t remember asking me to marry you. Funny ears you have, skipping over that part.”

I’m flying yet again through the air when my back hits the bed and Deeds is towering over me.

“Hotlips…” His tongue swipes over my bottom lip. “You better fucking marry me.”

My belly flops, making my body tingle. Smiling I look into his eyes while I give him my answer.

“Yes, Deeds. See, I didn’t even lie. You did ask me today.”

His mouth covers mine in a hot and hard kiss before he steps off the bed. Walking toward the dresser, he turns. “Get dressed before I fuck you so hard, your brother will come running when you scream out my name.” Picking up the dresser like it weighs nothing. When it’s pack in its place, he grabs himself some pants and a shirt.

“Hey.” I say, making him look back at me. “We still need to talk club business. You know, the cases you guys work on and how the fucking government’s involved and shit.”

He gives me a nod. “We will. First I gotta talk to your brother about Frankie D. Then I need to handle some more shit for those little boys. Tonight, when I get back we’ll talk. Or if the tequila gets to you first, then tomorrow morning, yeah?”

Giving him a nod, I get dressed. I’m getting my first fucking tattoo. Fuck me sideways!

Chapter 13

Walking into the living room, Deeds grabs my neck and his lips take mine in a slow kiss that’s purely for the benefit of pissing Zack off. Pulling back, his hand tightens. “Behave, Hotlips.”

Smiling at him I nod. “Always.”

Stepping away he turns and leans in close. “Oh, and if you decide to get your property patch on today... be prepared to get strapped to the bed, spread eagle, so I can show you just how much I worship that body of yours.”

Just as he’s about to move, I grab his shirt and pull him close. “Property patch or not, you’ll be doing that anyway. You hear me?”

He chuckles at my statement, pulls away while he mumbles “Probably right about that,
fuck
.”

Zack follows behind Deeds without one word in my direction. Yeah, he’s pissed at me, but I couldn’t care less. He just needs to get used to the idea, so I guess I’ll give him the space he needs to do so. Turning I look at Blue. She’s got a stupid grin on her face and her hand on her kit. Fuck!

“You ready for this?” she asks.

“Drinks first, bitch!” I walk into the kitchen to grab three shot glasses. Yeah, I know I said we were drinking straight from the bottle but that was before the whole fucking, engaged, and getting inked clusterfuck. I just need to take the edge off without getting shitfaced.

Besides, I want to watch those interviews. Those little boys need my help. We’ve got to bring them home and I can’t do that if I’m drunk. So I’m gonna need a few shots to get me past the ink and back on track.

Putting the glasses on the table, I look up at Depay. “What about you? You’re gonna join us for at least one, right?” He puts his phone away and comes over to down his shot.

When I feel the burn of the third shot slide down my throat, I know I’m ready. “Let’s fucking do this!”

Depay chuckles as he yet again grabs his phone. This guy seriously has a problem. And for real, why the fuck hasn’t his phone died already? I mean, if I was using it as much as he is, I would need my charger every hour. Just as I think it, he pulls a charger from his jacket and plugs it in.

“You want mine to get back to your reading?” I ask.

He shakes his head. “Nah, you’re probably right about what you said earlier. I need to let it go and see how it goes down. I’ve got you and the guys, right? What more can I ask for?”

“Fuck yeah!” He’s right. Depay is a sweet guy and his daughter is lucky to have a father who cares that much.

“Okay, so… what did you have in mind? A ring?” Blue asks as she sets up her things and puts her gloves on. Shit, she’s ready for action. This is it.

“Yeah, I’d like the head of an Eagle. Delicate, you know. Lines and shit. No color or shade or… you know, something like that.”

She nods, closes her eyes like she’s picturing it in her head. She grabs my hand and begins to draw straight on my finger. As the image takes form, I can’t believe what I’m seeing. She manages to draw a perfect head of an eagle that looks just like the one from the patch of Broken Deeds MC, except the neck of the bird takes the shape of a D. It’s awesome and almost makes my eyes leak. Damn! If she manages to ink that shit on as delicate and perfect as it is now. Fuck! That’s so fucking perfect.

Two tequila shots later and with Depay holding my hand still, it’s done. After spraying and wiping one more time to clean it up, Blue lets go of my hand. I grab my finger with my other hand and bring it close to examine her work. It’s fucking awesome!

“Hey, can you do one more?” I ask Blue and she just stops and looks at me funny. Depay’s head turns to the left, waiting to see what I have to say.

“I want Mrs. on the inside of my finger.”

Depay’s reaction is unreadable, clearly he was expecting me to ask her to ink the patch. Blue’s making her reaction very clear.

“But you’re not even married yet!” She shrieks.

“Dammit, Blue, my fucking ears! Tone it down a bit, would you? Besides, Deeds already has my fucking name inked on his chest. He claimed me already, so now I’m claiming him. Married by law is a minor technicality compared to that.”

She grabs my finger again. “All right, brace yourself, bitch.” Depay chuckles as he puts his hand on top of mine again to keep it in place. Fuck me, this shit hurts. It’s like she’s stabbing me deep, then dragging it through my skin. Oh wait… that’s exactly what she’s doing! Thank fuck it’s just three letters and a dot. Before I know it, she’s finished, and I’m looking down at the finished product with a huge smile. Perfect.

Depay keeps standing right next to me as if he wants to speak up. “What is it, Depay?” I ask. “Spit it out.”

Stepping nervously from one foot to the other, he mumbles, “One of you have time to add a name to my chest?”

Ah that sweet, adorable guy! “Yes, I do! Blue, can I borrow your stuff? I need to ink a name to his chest.” She steps away and grabs the bottle of tequila. Taking a pair of gloves, I slide them on and set about cleaning the machine. Fuck, my new ink burns under the damn glove.

A new needle and thirty minutes later, Depay is looking in the mirror at his chest. I’ve inked the name Hadley in delicate swirls. Walking to his phone, I unplug it and turn back to Depay. Making him turn so I have the perfect view, I snap a picture. He puts his shirt back on and takes the phone from my hand. Great, instead of reading, I’m sure he’ll be staring at that picture all day now.

“You want another one?” Blue asks me and raises the bottle.

I shake my head. “Nope, I’m good. I need to do more work in a while. I have some things to look over and I need a clear head for that kind of shit.”

“Okay then, your loss,” she says and puts the bottle straight to her mouth.

“Jesus, would you slow down? You’ll be a fucking mess come tomorrow.”

She shakes her head while she swallows. The tequila burn makes her voice sound rough. “Don’t fucking care. The guys have been over there for a while now discussing Frankie D. and shit. I want him dead Lynn I want it over and done with.”

Frankie D. is responsible for the death of her mother. He also killed her brother and father. Well, maybe not her biological father since that might be Frankie D. himself. Yeah, it’s a fucking mess. If she would just open the envelope that holds the DNA test results, she might have some peace. She also might know if Frankie D.’s son, Frederick, is her brother or not. But she’s too chicken to check. Every time I confront her, she talks right over it or closes up. I guess she’ll eventually open it, all in good time.

“I know, and they will handle it. You know our boys will.” I pull her in for a hug. Fuck, I’ve missed her, so I squeeze a little tighter. With our boys now taking up more time and her moving into her own apartment we see each other less and less. Yeah, we call, text and work together, but you just need that hug every now and then. And well, don’t forget the booze and the chance to unwind together. Oh and let’s not forget our workout time together. Yeah, see… we’ve been missing out on a lot of those things lately mainly due to the huge shit pile that’s clogging up our life.

When I feel her shake I pull back. Expecting tears, I’m surprised to see her smile followed by full blown laughter. “What the fuck, bitch? Why are you laughing?”

Taking a moment to catch her breath, she explains, “That guy Deeds sent over…. Chopper? To work with Nerd so they can get some intel on Frankie D. He’s hitting on Nerd and Dams is going full-blown crazy. You should
really
get your ass to the clubhouse. It’s too damn funny.”

“No shit, really? Dams and Nerd?” I’m missing out on a lot of things while being locked away for my own protection. Fuck! It reminds me of those sick and twisted minds who came after me and who are holding those little boys. I need those little guys back home and safe and the fucking perverts who are responsible dead, or something close to it.

That reminds me. “Hey, are you free tomorrow?”

She nods a little too hard, reaching up to rub at her neck. “Yeah, Lee took three days for me so he could have two off next week. Why?”

“Well, Puk’s ol’lady Mila wants to do a bit of a girl’s day. I think we’re going to a diner for hamburgers or something like that. It’s her sister’s birthday, so…”

Nodding her head vigorously, and based on her expression regretting it seconds later. “Sure, that’ll be so much fun! Wait… can you make it? Are you allowed to go? Haha, I mean… is your man letting you go?”

What the fuck? She’s acting like I have a curfew and need to ask my fucking parents or something. Well, I know it’s close to that, but shit. No fucking way. I punch her in the shoulder and her hand goes from her neck to rub at the sore spot. “Ouch! You cunt!”

“What the fuck?” I punch her again, just for that statement as she chuckles. Bitch knows I hate that word but throws it out there to verbally punch me. “Yeah, bitch. I’m just gonna take Broke, Goffa or Depay. Whoever is free.”

Depay looks up from his phone and says, “That would be Goffa. Deeds will be at the diner later that day.”

We turn to look at each other again and I paste a huge ass smile on my face as I let her know. “See! All taken care of.”

Blue pinches my cheek. “That you are, you little shit. All engaged and taken good care of. Judging from the eyeful I got earlier, I’d say you’re more than taken care of.”

My jaw drops as Blue doubles over from laughter while Depay snorts. Well, fuck!

The front door opens and Zack steps inside. I feel a stab of disappointment to see Broke behind him, instead of Deeds. I have to let that feeling pass since I know how hard he’s working on this case. Broke stalks to Depay as he slaps him on the shoulder. “Taking over bro, get to church.”

Depay stands up and tucks his phone away. To my surprise he walks to me and kisses me gently on the cheek. “Thanks, I really enjoyed today. Thought I’d just do some reading, instead I got my head clear. I’m gonna keep you to your word, yeah?”

Smiling back, I stand on my toes and give him a kiss on the cheek. “I’ll be right here. Just lemme know what I can do for you.” He nods and turns, only to be grabbed by his shoulder by both Broke and Zack, both looking as surprised as Depay is. Well shit, those alpha idiots think they need to correct Depay for giving me a kiss. Laughing, I step up to them.

“Stop that shit, fuckheads. It was a simple thank you for helping somebody out. If I had a dick right now, we’d be slapping each other’s backs, but I have a vag so I get a kiss. So fuck off and leave him alone, yeah?”

At the word vag all three men cringe.  I chuckle a bit as Zack slaps Depay on the shoulder and Broke does the same.

Broke turns to me and says, “Keep those lips to yourself and your man, yeah?”

Did he just say what I think he said? I don’t need a fucking warning like that. I’ve told Broke about my point of view already so what the fuck? Hearing my brother growl I look at him.

“Lynn.” The warning is clear in his voice.

Yeah, like that’s gonna shut me up. I speak my mind. But instead of giving Broke my thoughts, I turn my aim at Zack. I need for him to know things have changed. So I need to make a point and rub that shit in real good.

“No more Lynn, you know how that shit works. It’s Lips, asshole. Now go get your ol’lady home. We have a girl day planned tomorrow and she needs to get some sleep. Besides, I have work to do, so get the fuck out of my house.”

His eyes flash with a what-the-fuck look. “I ain’t leaving till you and I have a little talk.”

What am I, twelve? I step a little closer before I give him my answer, somehow managing to keep anger and frustration out of my voice.

“Remember the raise hell part, Zack?” I wait for him to nod before continuing. “Well, when you succeed, we’ll have our little talk, okay? Now, like I said, get the fuck out of my house.”

Blue chuckles from behind me. She has her kit in one hand and a bottle of tequila in the other, she manages to hug me and turn to Zack. “Take me home, Sally boy.”

Oh, yuck. I never should have had a room next to them. That’s her fucking nickname for my brother’s cock. Ignoring the way his eyes flash with heat, I’m just glad he is ready to fucking leave.

When they’re at the door he turns back toward me. “Remember, sis, one phone call and we’ll come blazing full fury. Ya hear?”

“Love you too, big brother. Now go get your ol’lady home.” He nods as Blue gives me a finger wave. Broke closes up while I walk back to the couch. I need to dig into those interviews.

“You want a cappuccino?” Broke asks.

I look at him like he’s grown a third eyeball. “Is there some kind of machine hiding in that kitchen I don’t know about?”

There’s that shy fucking smile again when he shakes his head. “Nah, I’m a barista. I can make it for both of us.”

This makes me stand up on the couch, my hands cocked on my hips. “Get the fuck out! You’re shitting me, right? A barista? For real? Well, then what the fuck are you still standing there for? Go fix me one!”

He barks out a laugh and I sit back down and mumble to myself, “There’s a fucking rough diamond ready to be revealed.” I hope he meets a sweet girl who’s as shy as he is. Wait…he’ll never get in her pants. Damn. Chuckling at my own statement, until I realize that’s kind of sad.

A thought flashes through my mind, and before I know it, I call Broke back into the room.
