As his magic entered the crystal,
his mind followed it. He let his magic find the old spell and as the magic with
the crystals help came to it, he let his mind get the crystal to show him the
whole pattern of the old spell. Slowly the pattern shrunk so he could see the
whole thing.

He looked at it and then realized
the crystal had not shrunk the old spell for him to see it but it had increased
his size so he could see the whole pattern surrounding the Dragon Decks and
school. He then moved around the Dragon Decks studying the spell and the
pattern to see all the points that were being destroyed.

He found he could point to a spot
that had been badly damaged by the spell and start to heal the spot. Then he
would move along to the next one and do the same again. This was going to take
him awhile so he started to try and do it faster. Then it hit him if he did all
the really big areas that were worst hit he might be able set the healing spell
on the little ones and it could do the rest itself.

Looking for the big areas he
could see there were a lot of them. So he started working on the big ones. He
had found the self healing spell would work on the little ones but not the big
ones. That he had to do himself, so drawing on his friends and dragons magic he
began work.

He had been at it for a few hours
when he had finished the big ones and now needed to fix the small ones. So he
went about setting up the healing spell in sections that would move along one
as it finished one. This was still going to take a while longer and they had to
stay and make sure nothing stopped it.

He worked with out stop and after
another couple of hours he decided he would be able to leave the spell to fix
itself. The repair was now going very well and thinks it should be ready and
fixed by morning. He was about to pull out when something caught his eye. There
was something just below the surface of the spell something that was different
to what the old spell was about.

There was something hidden in the
spell or something was hiding in the spell, or the spell was hiding something.
What ever it was he wanted to find out what it was. So he studies the old spell
and looks closely at the pattern and how it was made. It was he thinks made
with the help of the crystal in this room he is standing in.

The pattern of the spell was so
intricate that he had to look closer at the pattern to see if he could see what
was hiding there. As he moved in closer to see the pattern it moved as if what
ever was being hidden was moving so as to stay hidden from him. He decided to
move to the other end of the pattern and see if he could find anything down
that end.

Moving down that end he looked in
really close and again it was as if something shifted in the pattern but he
could not put his finger on it. Now this was starting to intrigue him and he
wanted to find out what it was. He moved down the pattern and as he did so he
noticed the pattern was altering as he moved along it.

He was just about to move to
another spot when he felt a tugging on his mind, he did try to ignore it but it
would not go a way. He then realized what the tugging was on his mind as it got
more insistent. He knew his friends were now starting to get worried about him
for by his calculations he had been in the spell for most of the afternoon.

He was thinking it might be time
to leave the spell, for he could try and find what was hiding there another
day. He went to move away but found he did not know which way was out or back.
He then started to panic a little as his thoughts were on getting out of here.

Medwin had been standing there
for a long time now and his legs were starting to get sore and tired. He looked
around and could see the girls were doing the same but were a bit worse than he
was. They would not be able to keep this up for long so; I must bring Angel
back now.

He looked at Gavrie and noticed
he could see the girls were not going to last much longer. Medwin then tried to
pull his magic back from Angel but found it did not want to come back. It
resisted coming back and then he started to panic as he didn’t want to get
stuck.

Gavrie looked at them and walked
around the room to see what else was here but could see nothing of use. He was
looking past one of the girls when he noticed she was swaying and could see she
would not last that long at all. He needed to bring them back now without
delay. Going into the centre where Angel was he looked to see if there was
anyway of getting them out of there.

He could see Medwin looking at
the girls and there was a look of panic in his eyes as he looked around at
them. Gavrie walked over to Medwin and spoke. ‘Medwin is everything alright;
the girls are swaying and will soon collapse if we don’t get them out of this
soon.

‘I can’t get Angel to pull out,
I’ve told my dragon and she has let Aura know who is having trouble trying to
get in touch with him. We need to get him back very soon or we are going to be
in trouble. Our magic will not help us as we have given the use of it to
Angel.’ Medwin was looking at the girls and Gavrie could see the worry in his
face.

‘Medwin if I go and tap him will
that bring him around or will it shock him?’ Gavrie looked at Angel as he spoke
knowing he would have to do that to try and get him back.

‘I don’t know, but maybe you
could give him a message with your magic and see if he can answer. It is worth
a try, as I don’t think I can stand here for much longer.’ Medwin moved off one
foot and on to the other as his muscles in his legs started to give out.

Gavrie moved to the side of Angel
and gently touched his fore head with just one finger. He did not want to shock
Angel and lose him full stop, so he had to be very careful. Gavrie slowly let
his magic awareness take over his mind and let him seek out Angel. He was not
going to let anything happen to him as his family was so special to him.

Touching Angel very gently he let
his magic awareness move to where Angle had gone. He found nothing in his mind
and moved out to see if his mind was still in the crystal or the spell.
Touching Angel at the start was very hard for him for he was not sure if he
would be doing any harm.

Angel still delved deeper into
the old spell trying to see what was being hidden behind it. There was a
nagging feeling at the back of his mind as he tried to see. Ignoring it he
moved at a different angel to look at the spell and hope that he might be able
to see it.

The feeling he had was getting
stronger and was starting to pull him from the spell. Fighting harder so he could
find what was hidden he moved his perspective of the spell again and there just
for a second he could see another spell, then it was gone. This time as he
looked there was no hint of it.

Trying all different angels and
perspectives but still it was gone and he had lost what he had almost found. He
found the tugging feeling again and tried to ignore it but it was starting to
get persistent. Finely he gave up and started to move back out of the spell and
head back to the others. He found following the tugging led him out.

As he moved back he turned once
more to have a look at the spell again and found that a lot of the gapes in it
had been fixed. There were a lot less of the pattern in disarray now as the
spell healed itself. The crystal was good for enhancing one magic and allowing
one to view such a large spell.

They might have need of the
crystal again at some time in the future so they must keep an eye on it. It was
defiantly more powerful than the other at the school. Suddenly there was a big
pulling on him and he moved back to his body and just stood there looking at
the crystal.

He turned and found Gavrie
standing beside him looking at him in a strange way. It was a look of someone
who has found something so wonderful. That’s how Gavrie now thought of them,
because they where different to all the other wizards that have been around for
a long time.

Angel looks around at his friends
and then into his mind comes Aura and she is very happy to see him. ‘We thought
you had gone to deep like last time and we got your headmaster to try and find
you. Your friends could not hold on much longer and needed you back. We are
glad you are back with us now.’

‘I’m ok and I’m sorry that I
stayed in there to long but there was something there and I just could not
leave till I had found out what it was. But it’s good being back and this time
the old spell did not try and drag me deeper into it. I think with you all
linking to me that gave me an anchor to hold me back.’ He went over to the
window where he could go to Aura and give her a hug.

Medwin come over to join him as
the others followed. ‘What was the crystal like this time you went into it?’

‘This time I tried to control it
and not it control me, it was hard but with you lot being their behind me and
being my support it made a big difference. It let me see the whole pattern of
the old spell. It was like a picture and I could see all the bits that had been
damaged and spreading. I was then able to go closer and start to mend the big
areas and set our healing spell on the small areas.’ He sat down before
carrying on. ‘I was about to come out when something in the old spell caught my
eye. I seen something in behind the spell, it was if another spell was hiding
behind that one. I tried moving around to see it but the old spell would just
cover what it was. Then I lost it completely and you lot were pulling me out.
Thanks for that, I was getting so wrapped up in the spell that I would still be
in there now.’ Angel looked at them as he gave a big sigh, as he just relaxed.

‘It’s all over Angel we won the
spell is fixing itself and we beat the Renegade we can now relax and get on
with learning magic again and being with our dragons.’ Shylyn gave WhiteStar a
big hug as she spoke.

Medwin and Maive were dancing
about their dragons as Shylyn spoke of their wining. Angel looked at them and
felt happy for them; he would not spoil it for them just at the moment. What he
had seen when fighting the Renegade did not let him feel that way.

Gavrie looking at them with their
dragons and was amazed at what they had accomplished in the short time they had
been here, and there is going to be some talk on how they come to have dragons
when every other wizard can’t go near one. Speaking of which they have not
introduced me to them.

‘Well now that things are
starting to settle down don’t you think it time you introduce me to your
dragons?’ Gavrie having moved closer to them as he spoke.

Angel got up and was about to
when he decided up here was not the place. ‘Come not up here shell we go down
onto the deck where it will be easer to do. You can ride with me down to the
deck and I will introduce you.’

They climbed back up onto their
dragons and they lifted into the air and down to the deck below. Angel climbed
down and walked over to his friends leaving Gavrie to get himself down. ‘Gavrie
these are our friends so please come and meet them. He indicated for Gavrie to
go to Medwin first.

Medwin had a proud look on his
face as he introduced his dragon. He brought Gavrie up to WhiteMoon. ‘This is
WhiteMoon who is a part of me as I am apart of her. We are linked to our
dragons.’

‘WhiteMoon I am pleased to meet
you, I have never been this close to a dragon with out a Rider there to control
the dragon.’ Gavrie looked at her as he was about to move to Shylyn when he got
stopped in his tracks.

He stopped for into his mind came
a voice of a female. ‘Thank you Gavrie Angel has told us Dragon Rider dragons
do not talk. We find this very strange and would like to find out one day why
this is so. It is nice meeting you.’ WhiteMoon had moved her head down to
resting it on the ground as she spoke to Gavrie.

Gavrie was taken back as the
voice left his mind. ‘That’s all right it was nice talking to you.’

He moved on to Shylyns dragon and
as he approached a strong male voice come into his mind. ‘Hello I’m WhiteStar
Shylyns friend, and please come closer I do not bite.’

Gavrie did as he was invited
moving closer to where he could talk to him better. ‘I have never been able to
stand this close and not have a dragon try and bite me let alone talk to me. I
am pleased to meet you WhiteStar.’

‘I would if possible some time
like to sit and talk with you about magic and other realms.’ Moving back as he
finished allowing WhiteFire to bring his head close to Gavrie.

‘I am WhiteFire, unlike my
brother I would like to talk about the Dragon Riders and their dragons. Do you
think it would be possible?’ There was a twinkle in his eye as he spoke. Maive
just stood beside her dragon and smiled.

Gavrie just stood there and could
not believe he was talking with dragons. ‘I think there might be a way that
could be arranged, for we have to do something about what’s happened here. But
I will see what we can do.’

Gavrie walked up to Aura and
stood in front of her. She moved her head down to him. ‘My name is NightAura,
thank you for bringing Angel back to me. He is a part of me I can’t lose, thank
you.’ Gavrie looked at her and gave her a bow.

Angel walked up to Gavrie knowing
there were things that had to be sorted out. ‘I think Headmaster we need to
keep ourselves apart from the rest of the wizards and Dragon Riders for the
moment.’

‘Why do you say that, you’ve just
defeated four Renegades, this everybody needs to know. This is something joyous
and the council needs to know about your dragons?’ Gavrie’s face was showing a
bit of worry.

‘Come let’s go and sit by the
deck edge and talk for there are some thing’s you need to know and the others
need to know this as well.’ He walked towards the edge of the deck not bothering
to look and see if he was being followed.
