He
approached
and

facing
his

bowed
before
the

“At
ease,

The

beamed
with
appreciation.

Thank

sir,”
he
replied
as
he
turned
and walked
aw

“St

if

being
so
hard

all
these

y

’re
going
to
be
the
only
one guarding
the
Counselors’
Realm,”
Kerrigan
m
ocked,
extending
his
hand
to
his
friend.
Str

him
with
a
big

accep

his
welcome.

“Well,
it
took
y

long
enough
to
get
here
this

So
m

of

don’t
have
a
life
of luxur

He
clasped
his
wrist
behind
his
back,
his
feet
braced
apart.
“All
the
Cou

have gathered
in
the

old
hobbits are
never
up
this

So
w

“Walk
with
m

.

They
headed
to
the
far
end
of
the
field,
a

from
the
others,
where
he
knew
they

overheard.

M

I

Kerrigan
looked
at

.

I
am
not
prone
to
bouts
of
uncertain

or
doubts,
but
this,
I believe,
has
far-reaching
consequences.”

losing
all
traces
of

“What’s

Kerrigan
walked
over
to
a

bench,
where
St

sat
down
and
began
r

his weapons.
“As

it’s

any
possible
threats. There
is
danger
to the
situation.
From

I

but I

and

from

and

Str

stopped
the
color
draining
from
his
face
a

he
gaped
at
hi

That’s
not
p

alw

been
told
nobody
could
survive
a
trip
through
the

from
Upper

to
mention
the
Counselors

did
not
exist
in
Upper
World.
Perhaps
y

is
m
istaken
.

“Make
no
error;
it
is
indeed
quite
p

I’ve
spoken
to
both
the

The

of
this

to

of
what

gifts,
and
I
believe
it’s

than

I
could

If
I’m
to believe
w

the

there
are
those

to

It

that
one
of

in
that.
A

Kerrigan

We
could
have
a

threat
here.
I
just
don’t
know
exact

we’re
dealing
with,
and until
I

from
the
Council
and
