ROWING UP,
Laura Scandiffio loved to read and write stories, draw pictures, put on plays with friends, and explore the woods and water near her home and cottage.
She has always been fascinated by stories of escape and survival, whether from real-life or in fiction. She enjoys traveling and the adventure of encountering different places, languages, and people.
Besides writing, Laura has worked as an editor of books for both children and adults. She is the author of
The Martial Arts
Book,
also published by Annick Press. Laura lives in Toronto with her husband and two children.
