Julie Lawson Timmer grew up in Stratford, Ontario, and earned a bachelor’s degree from McMaster University before heading south of the border. She has a law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and works as in-house legal counsel for an automotive supplier in Michigan.
