Bioflavanoid-rich foods such as goji berries, strawberries, gooseberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

Carotenoid-rich foods such as squash, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, carrots, apricots, tomatoes, melons, and watermelons.

Leafy greens such as spinach and peas for the eye protector lutein.

AVOID

Dairy products. Many cataract sufferers do not break down milk proteins/sugars properly.

HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS

Turmeric.

Studies have shown that the herb bilberry has eye-protecting qualities and may lower the risk of cataract formation.

Studies have shown that vitamins E and C together may help to prevent cataracts.

Drink ginkgo tea to help to improve circulation in the eye.

CONJUNCTIVITIS

Conjunctivitis is an unpleasant swelling of the membrane that lines the eye and eyelid, causing it to become inflamed. The eyelid feels gritty, heated. It blurs your vision and there might be a yellow discharge.

CAUSES MAY INCLUDE

Poor immune system.

Allergies.

Bacterial infection.

Viral infection.

Vitamin deficiencies.
