Chapter Eight

“This is a shithole,” Knife said.

“You don’t have any vision.”

“Vision? You don’t need vision with this kind of shit. Look at it, Sarah. There’s cracks in the walls that clearly shows this place is going to fall the fuck down.”

Sarah couldn’t argue. They had seen two other apartments, and this one was the worst.

“Did you just circle all the shit ones?” Knife asked.

“Thanks a lot. I circled all the ones that I could afford, thank you very much. You’ve been really nice in telling me I’m broke. I know that.” She blew him a raspberry and glanced down at the other five apartments. It was a little after seven, and she was hungry. Sarah had hoped her apartment hunting would have gone a lot better than it actually had. She was right where she had started.

He moved up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Why don’t we buy one together?”

“I don’t have enough to buy, only to rent, and no, you’re not going to be buying me an apartment.”

“Okay, how about we rent one together?” he asked.

Sarah sighed. There was no way she was going to be able to get a decent place without him. “Fine, we can rent a place together. I’m not going to stop working.”

“Of course not. I’m not made of money. I need you working your sexy ass off.” His hands moved down to cup her ass giving a little growl as he did. “You’re so fucking sexy.”

She leaned back against him as her pussy grew slick.

“Give me the paper,” he said.

Holding up the paper, she saw it was clear no sex was on the cards for tonight. She watched as he opened it up, scanned three pages before settling on a place. “This one.”

She leaned over and saw that apartment was a two bedroom, with a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and sitting room. There was even a small veranda for her to sit out on. Reading through the quick brief, the building also benefited from a laundry room along with a gym and pool. Sarah liked it, but when she clocked the price, she snorted. “No.”

“We can afford that.”

“You don’t know how much I earn.”

“I know how much I earn, and I know what you were paying for the place you shared with Ralf. This is perfect, and it’s just outside of Sinners’ Corner. It’s the perfect gateway for people of the city to get to work, but to not live at work. This is where we’re going.”

Before she could protest, he was already outside, moving toward his bike. Once again he handed her the helmet, and she growled, stamping her foot. “I don’t want to.”

“You behaving like a child is cute, but it’s not going to get you any cock. You’re not turning me on. I’m not into age play.”

Turning her frown into a smile, she chuckled. “I wasn’t trying to turn you on.” She took the helmet from him. “What’s the plan?”

“We’re going to ride over and check this place out.”

He straddled the bike, and she climbed on behind him, holding onto his waist. She settled her face against his shoulder as he pulled away from the apartment block, making his way toward Sinners’ Corner. She let out her squeal as he picked up speed. Riding at Knife’s back was one of the few pleasures she never wanted to give up.

The ride lasted another thirty minutes, and by the time she climbed off his bike she was horny as fuck. Handing him the helmet, she gasped as he pulled her into his arms. “Are you soaking wet for me?”

“You bet I am.” Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pressed her body against him. Being with him was as natural as breathing. “We have nowhere to go.”

“I’ll figure that out. Come on, let’s go and check out the room.”

They went to see the manager, and she was surprised to see that he was expecting her. Knife gave her that knowing look. “I called him this afternoon.”

“You knew none of those places would be good enough?”

“I checked them out while you finished work. You’re going to love this place.” He took the key from the manager, and they moved toward the elevator. “I’ll take it from here, Bill.”

She gave the manager a wave. Seconds later the elevator closed, and Knife pressed her against the corner, cupping her face. “What the fuck do you do to me?” he asked.

“I don’t know.” She moaned as he pressed his rock hard cock against her. “Wow, I do that?”

“You do that and more. I can’t get you out of my head.”

The doors opened, and he grabbed her hand. Her cheeks were on fire as they passed another couple. Keeping her head bent, she stumbled into his back where he’d stopped to insert a key.

He flicked the light on and closed the door behind her. Sarah stared at the apartment, and she just knew it was the one. The walls were plain magnolia, the ceiling a pristine white, but it just felt like home. There was no furniture, but she could easily see herself staying there.

“The front desk offers an added layer of security as well. Bill knew we were coming, but they usually have a guard stationed at the door who will approve all visitors. He stops general sales and all that bullshit.”

Sarah was speechless. The apartment was more than she could have ever hoped. Going from the sitting room toward the dining room, she went through a doorway to a luxury kitchen. Everything was just perfect. From there she went to the first bedroom, then through to a second. The bathroom was large as well.

“I can’t afford this,” she said.

Knife moved up behind her, placing a hand on her waist. “
We
can afford this place. I’ll still stick to our one night a week deal.”

She shook her head. “There’s two rooms.” She laughed. “I couldn’t throw you out of an apartment that you’re paying for.”

“So is that a yes?”

Staring at the bathtub there was just no way she could turn it down.

“Yes. We’re going to move in together.” She spun in his arms, and Knife pressed her against the wall.

“Good, because I already put a three month deposit down.”

“Knife—”

“Shut up. The only way I want to hear you say my name is crying out. I’m going to fuck you.” He opened the button of her jeans, sliding them down her thighs. At the same time she tried to tear open his jeans. Knife moved her hands away and grabbed a condom from his pocket. His cock sprang free, and he quickly rolled the condom over his length. Lifting her legs up, he found her entrance, and slid home.

They both moaned together, and Knife pressed his head against hers.

“This is how it’s going to be between us, Sarah. This explosion, this passion, it’s never going to end.”

Sarah held onto him, believing it. She had never expected to feel this way. Knife, he crashed through her walls of protection and shattered her world. When she was at her lowest point, he didn’t try to take advantage. He was there to hold her hand, and be a friend.

He was her friend, her lover, and so much more.

“You’re so fucking tight, baby, so hot and so tight.”

She cried out, screaming his name.

Knife pounded inside her, and he went deeper than ever before. “All mine, baby. You’re all mine.”

He spent the rest of the night showing her exactly how she belonged to him.

Saint sat in his club with his men. Pea looked ready to kill, Rage was pissed, and just about every single one of his men wanted to slaughter the man that they were waiting for. They were bikers. They killed with ease, and laughed while they did. They worked hard, fucked harder, and they never said sorry. However, no matter how bad they were, they never hurt a woman.

The whole club knew about Pea and Melissa’s marriage. They had a fucked up relationship, but it worked for them. Saint didn’t know how Pea did it. If a guy looked at his woman, he’d have killed the bastard. From what he knew, Pea had even walked in on Melissa while she’d been fucking another man.

There hadn’t been any jealousy, and they had been married a long time now.

Saint took a sip of the whiskey and watched the door. The club whores had been told to leave the main bar, and were waiting for the men in the back.

“What’s the plan?” Zeus asked.

“Follow my lead, and you’ll know what the plan is.” Saint eased back, closing his eyes. The tension in the room mounted, and in the few precious seconds he was able to call his own, Saint let his mind wander. He thought about his sister, and his little niece Bluebell. They were his world, but even as he tried to stop, he couldn’t stop
her
from entering his thoughts. Her red hair, her porcelain skin, and her curves, fuck, her curves had driven him crazy with need. He wouldn’t think of her name. He couldn’t do it.

“Saint, it’s either me or the club. What’s it going to be?”

His father had still been alive, and he’d been a Prospect. It was so long ago, nearly ten years now, and he’d walked away from her, and worked for the club. She had been the only woman he ever loved, but she’d seen what it was doing to him. Rubbing his eyes, he contained his annoyance as he heard the car driving into the parking lot.

Opening his eyes, he took another sip of his whiskey, and waited.

Ralf drinking heavily near the bar drew his attention, and he frowned. Saint didn’t like the spiral that Ralf was going down. He wasn’t the same guy he remembered, and there was just something off about him. For the first time with Ralf, he didn’t trust him.

Making a note to talk to him, Saint brought his focus back to the main door. Councilman Wallace entered the club looking all smug. Even as he looked around the clubroom, he still continued to look smug as fuck.

Sipping at his whiskey, Saint stared at the man who’d hurt a woman.

“Wallace,” Saint said. “Take a seat.”

“This makes a refreshing change, Saint, being invited to the clubhouse. You usually stop by my office to discuss business.”

“Yeah, I do. Well, this is not about business.”

The look on Wallace’s face was priceless. It was like the stupid fucker had just realized that he was in danger. “You said you had some business for me to handle.”

“I do have some business, but it’s more for me to handle it, and you to fucking listen.” Saint kicked out the table and grabbed the man around the throat, drawing him to his feet. “You see, Wallace, I don’t like women beaters, and I really don’t like fuckers like you that use their fists on
our
women.” He grabbed his gun out of his pocket and pressed it against the man’s lips.

“The club is changing you, and you don’t even see it.”

Saint forced
her
words to the back of his mind. She had no place here.

Wallace had no choice but to open his mouth as he pressed the point of the gun into his mouth. “You see, Wallace, you think you can get away with everything. You’ve got a little file on the Saints and Sinners MC, and you think you can beat Melissa into submitting to you. What do you think we’ve got on you?” He nodded at Pea. “It seems to me, Wallace, you’ve got a gambling habit. You’re pretty much broke. People don’t like you, and you like fucking young women, don’t you? I have to say, Melissa is a little old for your tastes. You’re not into kids, but you’re into them being young. Is that so you can control them, Wallace? Smack them around so they don’t have a clue how to fight back.”

Pea stood behind him and showed the thick file that Saint had made on the councilman. “Do you really think I’d start business with a man I don’t know anything about? Go ahead, Wallace, call the cops on Pea, call them on the club. My lawyer has a copy of this file, and he’s been given permission to release it to everyone in town, not to mention the video footage.” In the background, Zeus pressed play, and Wallace’s disgusting groans filled the silence. “No one would believe you, Wallace. You’re a fucking crook, and you’d be the one rotting in a cell, not us. You’re done with the club. Pea will be going back to your office, and you will give him everything you have.”

Saint removed his gun but kept it pointed at him.

“I want that shit,” Wallace said.

Saint shook his head. “You’ve not got a chance. If I even see a cop looking at me in the wrong way, I will send this out, and make sure you’re destroyed.”

“Don’t leave, Natasha.”

“Saint, this man you’re becoming, he’s dangerous. I don’t trust you anymore. You don’t even see what you’re doing is wrong. I’ve got to go before you hurt me as well.”

Saint stepped back, and watched as Pea, Willy, and Zeus followed Wallace out of the club. He didn’t stay around to talk, he left going to his office, and slamming the door shut. Sitting behind his desk, he ran a hand down his face, trying to clear his thoughts. He hadn’t thought about
her
in so long.

She was the only woman he’d ever begged to stay, and she was the only woman who had ever walked away from him.

****

Melissa sat in her sitting room, waiting for Pea to get home. She hadn’t heard from the club nor had she heard from Wallace. Pressing some frozen peas to her face, she flicked through the channels. Each second that passed made her even more nervous.

She didn’t want Pea to get hurt, and she didn’t want him to get sent to prison. When they were together, they had fun, and she liked the life that he’d given her.
