Ann raised up on her
elbows, looking down at Jason.

“You’re kidding?” She
was still laughing, shaking her head. “You’re incorrigible.” She fell back on
the bed, closing her eyes, letting out a breath. “Alright. I want you to…lick
me there, that spot you just touched….”

There was a new flush
rising through her body, the sound of her words, her own voice saying them,
sending a rush of arousal through her body.

“Go on….” Jason’s voice
was low; she could feel his breath against her inner thigh as he spoke.

Opening her eyes, she
looked down at him. “I want your tongue on me, licking me, your lips against my
skin, sucking me…. Use your tongue on me, Jason… like you would your cock.
Tease me with it, touch me… please….” Her voice trailed off in a breathless whisper.

Jason cocked an eyebrow
at her. “Very good… and yes, I’ll do exactly what you asked for. It’s my
pleasure.”

He was good to his
word. Ann was moaning beneath his touch, as he did as she’d asked, licking her
clit, sliding his tongue between her wet folds, probing deep inside of her. At
one point, she felt his teeth brush against her clit, the brief sharp sensation
making her gasp.

When she came, it was
more intense than she could imagine. She twisted on the bed, hands pulling at
the sheets, arching against Jason’s mouth. She felt his hands on her hips, his
fingers digging into her skin as she writhed beneath his touch. There seemed to
be no end to the waves of pleasure that crashed through her.

She felt Jason move up
her body, and she spread her legs further, letting him settle himself between
her legs. He held himself above her, watching her for a moment before slowly sliding
his cock into her. The lessening aftershocks of her orgasm still washed through
her, and the feeling of him inside her set off another rush of sensations, a
second wave of orgasmic pleasure running through her. She cried out, arching up
against him.

Jason followed her down
the same path, his orgasm filling her with his seed. He buried his head against
her neck as he shook, his body curling around hers, his cries muffled against
her body. They held each other, bodies trembling in each other’s arms.

When it was over, Jason
cradled her body against his, her back against his chest, his hand curled
softly around one full breast. The room was dark, the breeze cooler now. They’d
pulled the blankets around them, the scent of their bodies, their love-making
washing over Ann.

She was on the verge of
sleep when Jason spoke. His voice was soft in the dark.

“I love you, Ann.”

His words brought her
back from the edge of sleep. She turned to him, touching his face in the dark.

“I love you too,
Jason.”

She felt him reach for
her, pulling her against his chest, his mouth finding hers again. It was a long
time before they finally fell asleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.

Chapter 4 – Guilty
Pleasure

Jason had left to run
errands in town that morning, taking her pickup truck, leaving Ann in the barn
with a sick sheep. When she heard the crunch of gravel in the drive, she came
out of the barn.
It’s far too early for him to be back.

But the vehicle in the
yard wasn’t her truck. It was David’s car. She felt her heart drop, then start
beating in a fluttery way that made her vaguely dizzy.

He got out of the car,
looking up at the house, hesitating briefly before walking up the porch to the
front door.

Ann had the irrational
thought that if she stayed in the barn, he’d just go away. But she knew that
wouldn’t work. With a sigh, she stepped out of the shadows of the barn door.

“David. What do you
want?” She heard the hesitation in her voice.

She’d been married to
David for almost five years; good years, she thought, but he’d decided that her
dreams were no longer his, this was not the life for him, and apparently she
was not the woman he wanted in his life. He’d left, just over a year ago,
leaving her with a ranch and no help.

Not long after he was
gone, she’d gotten a fat envelope from an attorney in town. He’d sent divorce
papers for her to sign. She’d tossed them aside, managed to avoid them for
weeks, but she always knew where they were in the house. But a second, and then
third, envelope arrived.

She’d finally opened one,
read through all the pages. David wasn’t asking for anything from her except to
end the marriage. The farm was hers, anything she’d brought with her was hers;
the financial details were all fair and even. There really wasn’t any reason
why she shouldn’t sign the papers.

Except one. She still
loved David.

Seeing him standing on
her porch brought back an unexpected rush of feelings. The sun caught his hair,
hair so black it looked almost blue. She could see a few strands of silver
glinting at his temples. Funny, she’d never thought about the difference in
their ages. David was almost ten years older than she was, but he’d always
seemed somehow ageless.

David turned at the
sound of her voice. He smiled, walking across the yard, his body looking sexier
than she wanted… or needed… right now. He was dressed casually in khakis and a
white shirt, looking lean and fit.

“Ann…figures I’d find
you in the barn.” He stopped a short distance away. “How have you been?”

“I’m…okay. Fine…” She
was at a loss for words. And she really wasn’t prepared to have a conversation
with David. It had been a year since she’d seen him; she really didn’t think
this was a social visit.

“You’re here for the
papers? They’re in the house.” She walked past him, catching the scent of his
cologne, taking a deep breath. She closed her eyes, hoping he hadn’t noticed.
The deep rich scent brought back every memory she had of him, of them together.
And it made her weak in the knees.
Damn him, he probably wore that on
purpose.

“Are you going to sign
them this time, Ann?” She heard his step behind her on the porch. His question
was innocent enough, but she was irritated by it none the less.

Her fingers were on the
handle for the screen door. She hesitated, looking down a moment, before
turning to David. She met his gaze levelly, head held high.

“Yes, David. I am.”

“What made you change
your mind, this time?” There was an edge to his voice, a challenge almost. Ann
prickled at the sound, scowling at him.

“I think it’s time. No
other reason. Time for a change.”
There is a reason. And his name is Jason.

She pulled open the
screen door hard enough to make it slam against the house. He followed her into
the kitchen and she gestured toward the kitchen table. “Have a seat. I’ll get the
papers.”

David pulled out a
chair. Ann rummaged through her desk in the living room, coming back with the
latest fat envelope from David’s attorney. She glanced at David, scowling at
him, vaguely annoyed that he should look so sexy, lounging in her kitchen like
it was still his home.

She grabbed a pen from
her desk and sat down across from David, pulling the papers from the envelope.
She flipped through the thick stack, signing each page conveniently marked with
a little colored sticker. She felt a combination of sadness, loss… a sense of
giving up, even though she knew there was nothing left to fight for.

When she was finished,
she shoved them roughly across the table toward David.

“All signed.” Her voice
was tinged with emotion, she was suddenly on the verge of tears, and that made
her angry. This wasn’t what she wanted…had wanted for her life. She’d always
envisioned David with her, no matter what. But he’d made it clear this was not
the life he wanted, and in discarding that life, he’d discarded her as well.

“Ann…I know this is
hard, but you’ve had a long time to think about this. It’s not like it’s a
surprise.” He waved his hand, dismissing her emotions.

“That’s not it, not it
at all. You just don’t get it, do you? This wasn’t my idea, David. Never was.
It’s always been you, all about what you want.” There was a sharp edge to her
voice, the tears spilling unheeded down her cheeks. “You abandoned me and
you’re annoyed because I’m crying?” She pushed away from the table, overturning
her chair. It crashed to the floor, making her jump.

“Ann, calm down…it’s a
painful process.”

She brought her hands
down hard on the table. “Don’t tell me to calm down! I love you, David. I’ve
never stopped loving you, even though you walked out on me!”

David took a step
around the table toward her, saying her name again. The same way he’d said it a
thousand times while they were together, when she’d been upset over something,
wanting to sooth her. But now it wasn’t what she wanted, to be soothed by
David. She wanted to hit him, to push him away, to make him leave.

But that wasn’t all she
wanted. What she really wanted went far deeper, touched some part of her she
was ashamed to admit existed. What she wanted was David, his body, the feeling
of being consumed by him, as only he knew how to consume her.

There was nothing she
wanted more now than to hurl herself at him, drag him to the floor and fuck
him, hard and fast.

At that moment, she
felt trapped, physically, between David and the wall of the kitchen, and
between her conflicting emotions. This was the man she’d married, the man who had
walked out on her. She loved him, but he’d betrayed that love.

“David….” There was
anger in her voice, but something else. And she knew David heard it; she heard
it. She put her hands up to push him away as he took another step toward her,
but instead of pushing him, she clutched at his shirt, pulling him to her. And
in that instant, feeling the hard muscles of his chest beneath her fingers,
breathing in his scent… as angry as she was at him, and at herself, all she
wanted was David, right them, even if it was for the last time; especially if
it was the last time.

Before she had time to
think, his mouth was on hers, his lips harsh and insistent. Ann ran her hands
through David’s hair, pulling him down to her, holding him even though he had
no intention of breaking their kiss.

It angered her that he didn’t
pull away… and she was angry at herself. His tongue skated along her lower lip,
and she draw his lip into her mouth, sucking briefly… and then bit down. She
tasted blood on her tongue.

“What the hell, Ann?”
David pulled away, staring down at her. “You want to hurt me, is that it? Take
it out in blood?” He ran his finger over his lip, looking down at the smear of
red.

Ann was breathing hard.
“‘It’s a painful process.’ Someone told me that recently.”

She pulled him back down
to her, her mouth coming up hard against his, bruising his lips with hers. David
responded with the same aggression, his tongue thrusting into her mouth, his
fingers tangling in her hair. As he ground his hips against her, she could feel
the bulge of his erection, already hard.
It’s the same for him… he’s just as
turned on as I am.

She knew just what that
cock would feel like, in her hands, in her mouth… moving inside her body.
Making love had never been one of their problems; if anything, it had kept them
from talking, distracted them time and again. It was easier to just have sex
than to try to figure out what the problems were in their relationship. And the
sex had always been amazing enough to make her believe it was the same as love…
or close enough.

David’s hands slid down
to her breasts, squeezing them hard, his fingers pulling at her nipples. She
arched against him, silently asking for more contact. All this was driving her
wild, and he knew that, he knew exactly what got her excited, what sent her
spiraling out of control. She felt his mouth curve into a smile against hers,
his fingers pulling and twisting her hardening nipples. Her cries were muffled
against his mouth as he continued playing with her, teasing her, tormenting
her, his fingers almost brutal on her flesh, bringing tears to her eyes.

There was a sudden
movement as David grabbed the front of her blouse, tearing it open, buttons
clicking and spinning across the hardwood floor. She broke away from his mouth,
startled, looking down at her ruined shirt. His hands were pulling at her bra,
tugging the cups down roughly, pulling at her breasts until the hard nipples
were exposed.

“You’re so fucking
beautiful… I’ve never forgotten how beautiful you are.”

Ann stiffened at his
words. They’d rarely talked during sex…David hadn’t liked it for some reason.
It made her vaguely uncomfortable, made her think this wasn’t the David she
knew.

David bent his head to
her breast, drawing one nipple into his mouth. Ann cried out, her body
responding with a deep resounding thump, a rush of wetness between her legs. She
could hear him as he frantically pulled at her nipple, sucking hard, his tongue
swirling around her nipple and the puckered areola. There was brief flash of
pain as his teeth brushed against her skin, the implied threat of a bite, sending
a shiver through her body.

Ann ran her fingers
through his hair, grasping at him, holding him tightly against her body. The
sensations his mouth created in her were intense, made her weak in the knees,
sent her heart skittering along in a rapid beat. As he sucked David ran one
hand between her legs, cupping her, squeezing, his fingers digging into the
material of her jeans. But even through the denim he found a way to make her
cry out, as she ground her hips against his hand, his fingers sliding against
her body.
