Then why the hell had he ended up with a woman so opposite to him in every way. He turned to the woman next to him, forcing himself to find something attractive about her. At this moment, he would settle for finding anything vaguely interesting about her. Nothing.

“Sorry, I have somewhere I have to be,” he said getting up to leave.

She slid across to the stool he had been sitting on and wrapped her legs around him, thrusting herself forward to press against his still hard cock. “Oh, I know just where you need to be.”

Sliding her hand down over his butt, she pulled him towards her. This overtly sexual behaviour would normally have him more than willing to take her outside and lean her over his truck to fuck her. However, tonight it did nothing for him.

He prised her off. “Sorry. It’s something real important.”

“Come on. I can make you come real quick,” she said, not wanting to let him go.

“Thanks, but no,” he got out of there as quick as he could. His frustration worse than before.

He could not live like this, no more messing around; he would do whatever it took to get Paris into his bed as soon as possible. If that meant chasing after her, something of a new experience for Wes, then that was what he would do.

Chapter Four
Paris

He was waiting for her when she came out of college the next day. His truck impossible to miss. She went over to him, and he wound the window down and smiled. A devastating sight, and one she would have to firmly etch into her brain. No man had ever smiled like that at her. Never.

“I thought I would give you a lift to the book store.”

“Why, don’t you believe that’s what I wanted the money for?”

He laughed. “Get in.”

“How did you know where to find me?” she asked. There were many different exits she could have taken, he had been lucky to choose the right one.

He leaned forward, and her body reacted to his closeness. “I can smell you,” he said. “Your scent is special, one of a kind. It excites me.”

She stared at him, thinking he must be joking, but he wasn’t. The look on his face was completely honest, it made her believe him, and weird as his words were, they were the truth. “I don’t understand.”

“I know. There is so much you don’t know. But when you came down to the cellar that night, I knew. I hoped you felt it too.”

“Wes, you’re frightening me.” To Paris he was starting to sound like the men who stalk young women, they had been warned about them in class when she first started college. There was a whole range of dangers; she never expected this particular one to be a problem for her. You always pictured the pretty, popular girls being the object of a man’s desire. Not full figured girls like Paris.

“Am I?” he sounded doubtful. “Are you sure it’s not something else you feel?” His voice became low and sensual as he carried on. “Don’t you ever question the way your body responds to mine. You've remained a virgin all this time, but that first night you practically threw yourself at me.”

“Wes, I’m getting out. I’ll walk to the book store.” She put her hand on the door, ready to open it, but his strong hand covered hers and he stopped her.

“No. Don’t. I won’t hurt you. I only need you to know how I feel. When you’re ready, I will be waiting, until then I only want to help you, Paris. It’s important to me that you stay safe, and happy.”

“And what if that day never comes?”

“I have waited a long time, I am a very patient man,” he lied, then he leaned forward and kissed her neck, and despite her words, she wanted to lower her head and kiss his lips, to let him know that she felt the same. However, something held her back.

“Book store,” she said.

He sat up and put his hand on the keys to start the engine. “Dinner after?” he asked.

“I can’t. I have too much to catch up on.” She saw the look he gave her. “Honestly. If I don’t catch up, they will throw me off my course. I don’t expect you to understand.”

“Why? Because I’m a dumb bar owner?” he said the words lightly, starting the engine at last.

“No,” she said horrified he would think that. “It’s not what I meant.”

“No?”

“I only meant you have a life you like. Your bar, everything. I don’t have that. If I don’t work for what I want then I’ll end up...”

“Working in a bar?”

“I don’t mean it like that. You’re twisting my words.”

“Maybe I’m trying to make you feel bad enough that you'll have that dinner with me anyway.”

“Wes. Please don’t play games.” Then she decided to change the subject. “Who's looking after the bar anyway?”

“Frank. He’s Brenda's, I don’t know, partner. I think that’s what you call people you shack up with these days. Does a couple of shifts a week for me. Thursdays are fairly quiet, people saving up for the madness of the weekend.”

“Is it that bad?” She began to feel a little nervous now. Working her tables when it was quiet was one thing, but when it got busy, she did not know if she could cope.

“Don’t worry. I’ll look after you.”

“OK. That does it. What is going on Wes?”

They had reached the book store and he pulled up outside it. She did not get out. Something was different about him, and she was not sure she liked it. The smouldering looks and kisses were one thing, this Wes was different. He was flirting with her, and no one flirted with her.

Not that she did not know how it worked; her mom had been a good teacher at how not to handle it. She had ended up in bed with any man who sweet talked her.

“Nothing. I like you Paris. I thought you liked me too.”

“I do. But I’m not going to sleep with you.”

“Your body tells me otherwise.”

“I don’t care what my body tells you. I can’t...I won’t jeopardise my future over a fling with you, no matter how much I want to.”

“Would it be so bad?”

She turned and looked at him. “I think it would be best if I don’t work for you, or see you at all. I can’t take any more pressure Wes.”

“What would be so bad about a bit of fun? I can assure you I will break you very gently.”

Her mouth fell open, and she sat looking at him like a complete idiot. In her mind, she was running through the scenario of him breaking her. It would be good, this man’s pride would not let it be anything less than earth shattering.

However, she could not afford to be shattered in any other way. She opened her purse and pulled out the money he had lent her. Handing it to him she said, “Good bye Wes.”

He did not take it, taken aback by her reaction. “I’m sorry.”

“You keep saying that, but then you make it worse again. I can’t take your money. And I’ll manage without your job. I’m not for sale.”

She dropped the money on the seat and got out, looking around for the nearest escape. She did not have any money, but the book store was a safe haven until she decided how to get home with no money. She had missed the bus.

Opening the door, she went in, and headed for the back of the store, trying to compose herself. She knew he was there before she had a chance to turn and see him. “Leave me alone,” she said trying to be quiet but forceful.

“Look, Paris. I can’t help what I want,” he said trying to keep his voice low. “I pushed it too far, I get that. But I don’t see what the big deal is. Sex. It’s what the rest of the human race do. So why not try it?”

“Because I have seen what damage it does.” She brushed the tears from her face, and turned to face him. “My mom is the expert in sleeping around. I have lived my whole life being dragged around the country, staying with different men while she had her fling, and then moving on.”

She took a long shuddering breath, noticing for the first time that other people were looking at them. “I can’t do that. I want a settled life. I want to finish my education, and live my own life. You on the other hand want a fling. What am I, a conquest? A notch on your bedpost.”

He averted his eyes, and she saw that she had hit the nail on the head. “Tell me, would I be so appealing if I wasn’t a virgin.”

“No, Paris. It’s not that. It’s something so much more. I can’t explain it to you, not here, not now.”

“Words and excuses,” she said, angrier with him then she had ever been with anyone in her life.

“It’s not.” He suddenly sounded defeated. “It was, I suppose. But now it’s not.”

She looked at him, and the man in front of her was not the man who had come on to her in his truck.

“I need you to be honest, Wes. With yourself and me. I have no experience with men. Other than those my mother dated.”

“I know.” He looked around now, seeing the other people furtively glancing at them. “Listen, can you just get the book you need and we can discuss it on the way home.” He raised his hand when she started to object. “No strings. Buy the book and I will drop you at your house, no pressure for anything more.”

She stood looking mutinous for another few seconds and then went to find the book she needed. He stood patiently waiting, then when she returned she handed it to him, and he went to pay for it. She smiled to herself at the look the sales assistant gave him, and then nearly jumped out of her skin when another, older woman, came over to her and asked,” Is everything alright, dear?”

“Yes,” she said instantly.

In fact, maybe too fast, because she asked again, “Are you sure? Things sounded a little heated.”

“It’s that kind of a relationship,” she said, and watched the way her words were interpreted.

“Oh...oh, I see. As long as you're sure.”

“Very, but thank you for your concern.” Paris smiled as she walked out of the store. Wes held the door open for her, and true to his word was on best behaviour.

“So what is this course of yours?” he asked.

“You really interested, or just being polite?” Paris asked.

“Interested? Really.”

“Sorry. I think you are the first person who ever has been.”

“What about your mom? Isn't she proud of you, going to college and giving yourself a future.”

She laughed. “You’re joking right? She was horrified, partly because it meant I still relied on her. I got a job and paid for myself, contributed what I could to the rent. I don’t think I have ever been a burden to her. But she still doesn’t get it.”

“So you have another job?”

“Yes. I work for Ted; he runs a garage a little way from the college. I work all day Saturday, and Sunday mornings.”

He whistled, “That is a lot of hours, between the bar and school, no wonder you’re behind.”

“It shouldn't take me long to catch up, I started the course late. But I think I have it under control now.”

“I think you might be pushing yourself too much,” he said sounding genuinely concerned.

“Nonsense, if I give up sleeping, I’ll be fine.” She meant it lightly, but the strain was in her voice, the whole thing seemed next to impossible to here if she looked at it openly. She did not, pushing it away, telling herself she would cope.

They had reached her house, and she grabbed her things, ready to get out. For once Wes stayed put, showing no sign of walking her to the door, she was a little sad, her lips would love to feel his against them.

“Listen. And don’t take this the wrong way. Drop a shift at the bar, I can find someone to take it on.”

“I can’t, I won’t make the rent.”

“Then let me help you.”

“No. I can’t.”

“No strings. In fact I give you my word I won’t even look at you until you graduate.”

“I don’t want to owe you any more than I already do.”

“You won’t. I can more than afford it.”

She leaned forward and placed her hand on his cheek, feeling the rough stubble that had started to appear. “It’s very sweet of you.”

He turned and placed his lips on her palm, and shock waves of desire shot through her. Despite all her words, to the contrary, she wanted him, her sex ached for him and her clit pulsed with a need to be touched. Tilting her head she kissed him, on the other cheek, he closed his eyes, and then turned to meet her lips with his own.

She slid over to him, and he placed his hand on her thigh, circling it around until she tingled with desire. Her legs opened, and he edged between them and she knew he was waiting for her to say no, that if she gave him even the tiniest signal he would stop.

Instead, she pressed forward, allowing him to slide higher until his hand was stroking her clit through her jeans while his mouth worked her into a frenzy. Her body seemed ready to explode. Here she was, fully clothed, and he was going to make her experience her first orgasm.

Her arms encircled his neck, and he lowered his head, his teeth grazing her breasts through her clothes. It wasn’t enough she needed more, he looked up, gauging her reaction before he slid his hand under her top and pulled the cup of her bra down to touch her soft flesh. All this time he rubbed along the length of her slit, his thumb pressing against her clit.

“Oh,” she breathed, his mouth capturing hers again, and his hands and mouth edged her towards that forbidden peak. She had only thought this would happen with a man inside her, but he knew exactly what he was doing, and the effect it would have on her. How many women he had had before her she did not know. Would she be able to satisfy him in the same way, she was sure she it was not possible. He would need to be patient with her.

As she rose higher, her body pressing forward onto him, she gripped his arms, and the tension built before exploding in a release she had never experience before. Wes moved his hand in a steady rhythm, firm and strong against her. Paris wondered if he could feel how wet she was through her clothes.

She swept her worries aside, and allowed herself to enjoy her first real sexual experience. He had been right; he could show her such pleasures. Could she ever allow herself that freedom, to take a risk on him?

Her orgasm rocked her body to the core. She had never expected it to be like this, yet as intense as the experience had been, she could not help but wonder what it would be like to feel him inside her. Her sex ached to be filled; as her inner muscles contracted, she had an intense need to feel him inside her. Could she set aside all her fears and take him to her bed, allow him to take her to places she had never been.
