“I can understand all of that, Gabs,
but I have difficulty with you never telling him he was a father.”

Gaby leaned her head back on the chair
and a fresh bout of tears rolled down her cheeks.

“I have told myself over and over
again I made the right decision not to tell him.  That he did not deserve to
know he gave me his son, while he was in love with his childhood sweetheart.
The same one he was marrying within six months of us meeting.  One I never even
knew about because she was abroad for three months at the time.  She was due
back and he started to withdraw from me.  I never understood why until his
mother told me about Mary.”

“What did he say?”

“I was so shocked.  He told me he
loved me, we even lived together that last month.  I was hurt and felt
betrayed.  I just ran.  I could not face him, knowing it was the truth.  His
withdrawal from me, his sudden moods, all because she was on her way back and
our little sordid affair had to end.”

“This is just so unlike the Billy I
got to know.  Don’t you think you should at least have given him the
opportunity to defend the allegations?”

“He did not even try to find me,
Mackenzie!  If it was a lie and he loved me, he would at least have tried to find
me!”

“I did try, Gabriella, but you
literally disappeared into thin air.  I searched for you for two years.”

Gaby gasped and shot up from the
chair.  She turned to him, her eyes haunted when it met his.  His anger was
still discernable in his eyes, in his stiff body and his rigid jaw.

“You can say what you want,
Gabriella.  You did not want to be found.”

Mackenzie got up from the chair and
walked around Billy and left the room.  Neither one of them noticed her
leaving.

“How … much did you hear?”

“Everything.”

Gaby bit her lip and turned to stand
against the balustrade.  Her eyes on Zach playing soccer with Aiden on the
beach.

“Why did you not come to me,
Gabriella?  I am the one you supposedly loved.  How could you lend your ears
out to others and then not talk to me about something so important.  Or was
your supposed love for me, just that?”

She swung back at him.

“No!  You know I loved you.  I was
destroyed when your mother told me you were engaged and getting married!  What
else was I supposed to do?  You never once told me about Mary!  Never!”

“Because it was already long over
between us before she left, Bree!”

“What … how could your mother not have
known that?”

Billy ran his hand through his hair,
his eyes glued on hers.  She was even more beautiful now than thirteen years
ago.

“We decided to wait until she was back
before we told them, thinking they would accept it easier after a long
separation.”

“Why … why did you break up?”

“We were childhood sweethearts.  We
met up again years later and thought the spark was love we still felt for each
other.  We realized within months it was not.  We kept up the pretense for our parent’s
sake, but we knew we would never get married.”

Tears ran down Gaby’s cheeks and she
was devastated.  All the years of yearning and pain was for nothing.  She could
have had her happy ever after.  If only she did not run.  She swung away from
him and wrapped her arms around her waist, staring at the beach.

“Where did you disappear to, Bree?”

“I … went to South Africa.”

“South Africa!  Good Lord!  No wonder
I could not find you!  Was Zachary born there?”

“Yes, but he is an American citizen
now.  I only had Mack, Aiden and her parents.  They were my support.  Mack even
came to Africa for Zach’s birth.  We had a hard time getting her back on the
plane.  She would not let him go.  Then her parents died and I realized they
needed me and I moved to Michigan when he was nearly three.”

“Did you ever think to tell me about
him during the passing years?”

“Every day for twelve years!”

“Why didn’t you?”

“I … what does it matter now, Billy?
It has been …”

“It matters to me.”

Gaby turned and looked into his eyes,
her arms still wrapped around her waist.

“I … could not bring myself … I did
not have the strength to find you and see you with your wife.”

“Why not?”

“Billy … please.  It does not …”

“Tell me, Gabriella!”

“Because I still loved you!  God help
me, I still do!”

She was in his arms without her
realizing he had moved.  His eyes bored into hers and his voice was hoarse with
emotion.

“I hate you for throwing away thirteen
years of our lives, Bree, but God knows I love you still!”

Their lips met in a kiss that
obliterated the past thirteen years and meshed together with need, passion and
a love that might have lost its way, but never forgotten.

Chapter Thirteen

“We’re
getting married, Mack!  I can’t believe he has forgiven me and still loves me.”

“I am so happy for you!  You and Zach
deserve to be happy.  Now more than ever!  When?”

“We are going into Nassau and getting
married in court on Friday.  We will spend the night there and be back on
Saturday.”

“But what about the wedding you always
dreamed of?”

“I was young then. Now I just want to
marry him as soon as possible. You won’t mind if Zach stays behind?”

“Of course not.  Aiden and he are
inseparable as it is.”

Mackenzie went to Chase’s study where
he was busy with his book.  She knew he hated to be disturbed once he started,
but this was urgent.  She’ll just have to use her feminine wiles on him to
soothe his upset.

She rapped softly on the door, and
again when there was no response.

“Babe?  Can you spare me a moment?”

She heard a muffled response and
opened the door.  She stuck her head through the opening and found him behind
his desk, pounding away on his laptop.  His brow furrowed and he was entrenched
in what he was writing.  She pulled the door closed, but froze when he
thundered her name.

“Mackenzie!  Where are you going?”

“I’m sorry, you seemed totally
occupied and it is not that important …”

“If it wasn’t you would not have
disturbed me in the first place.”

“You might not think it is as
important.”

“Come here and tell me what is wrong.”

She walked through the door and closed
it behind her.  She went around his desk and his eyebrows rose when she sat
down on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Now I am getting worried!”

“Why?”  She leaned into him and kissed
him sensually, her hands clasping his hair at the nape of his neck.

“You never take first initiative to
get close to me, let alone kiss me.  What did you do wrong?”

“Why do you think I did anything
wrong?”

“Hmm … okay, what is it that you want
from me then?”

“Well, it is not really for me.  It’s
for Billy and Gaby.”

“I’m listening.”

“They’re getting married.”

“Billy told me.”

“At court!”

“I believe so yes.”

“We can’t allow that.”

“We can’t?”

“Of course not!  Gaby always dreamed
of getting married on the beach.  We have a beach and a perfect setting for a
wedding right here!”

“We do yes.  You are aware that they
want to get married on Friday?”

“Yes, but that is two days away. More
than enough time to arrange for a priest and invite family and friends.  Please
Chase, even if it is only a small wedding with just family!  We can’t allow them
to start their wedding after a brief and cold few minutes in an official
office!”

She leaned forward and kissed him
again, trailing her lips over his cheek to his ear where she nibbled on his
lobe.  She smiled when she felt his shaft jump against her legs.

“I am not sure two days is enough
time.”

“Essie and I will manage.  I spoke to
Lauren already and she knows a pastor that will be willing to do the ceremony
here.  Please Babe?”

“It seems you already thought of
everything.”

“Not quite.”

She wiggled around against his shaft
and he growled.

“You need to make sure Billy can’t
leave too early.  We will have to keep them here until at least noon.”

“Honey, that man wants to marry his
woman.  He is not going to allow anything to stand in his way.  Least of all,
me!”

“I have all confidence in you, Babe.”

“You are asking for the impossible!
Stop wiggling woman!  I am already as hard as a rock!  Are you trying to
torture me to death?”

She leaned back and smiled at him
seductively.    She traced his jaw, her eyes glazing over with passion.  His
breath lodged in his throat.

Mackenzie lifted her hips slightly and
pulled her sundress from under her.

“I took a quick detour to our room on
my way here, specifically to surprise you …,” she leaned closer and whispered
in his ear, “I am not wearing any panties.”

Her lips closed over his and her
tongue swept inside his mouth with his gasp.  She kissed him with so much wild
passion his hands clamped around her hips to ground himself and not spill
inside his pants.

He shifted her slightly down and yanked
his cargo shorts and jockeys down without breaking the kiss.  He leaned back
and looked into her eyes.  He lifted her and lowered her slowly on his jutting
and fully aroused shaft.

Mackenzie gasped, her eyes widened but
did not break the hold of his gaze.  Her hands clutched his shoulders as he settled
against her slit and dropped her, inch by inch on his aching shaft until he was
settled to the hilt.  Mackenzie mewled.  With her legs closed he felt so big inside
her, she was too scared to breathe.  His hands stroked over her hip and the
other over her belly to caress her breasts.  She moaned the moment he touched
her nipples.  They have become achingly sensitive and it was agonizingly
pleasurable when he stroked and sucked them.

They did not make love the night
before.  She was just too annoyed with him, leaving her frustrated and needy
this morning.

“Honey, I need to taste them.  Give
them to me.”

Mackenzie eagerly slipped the straps off
her dress of her shoulders and pushed the dress down, baring her breasts.  She
slipped her arm further around his neck and lifted her breast to his lips that
closed greedily over her nipple.  He groaned as he suckled on it slow and deep,
savoring the taste of her flesh against his tongue.

Mackenzie threw her head back,
pressing her nipple deeper into his mouth and he gladly complied by sucking her
deeper into his mouth.  She tightened her knees over the arms of the chair and
lifted her hips to drop down onto him again.  Both of them groaned at the
pleasure.  She repeated the motion and then set a rocking motion, clasping his
neck, mewling at the continuous pleasure of his lips on her nipples.

Chase spread her legs slightly and
Mackenzie cried out when he started to stroke her clit, soft and slow, then
harder and faster as he started to thrust up into her.   They did not last
long.  A low keen started low in her stomach when the pressure inside her
culminated in the eruption of the heat in her veins, to explode in a climax
that had her scream over and over.

Chase thrust twice more and followed
her with a shout of her name.  Mackenzie felt the heat of his release shoot
against her cervix, increasing her climax to milk and throb around him, forcing
his breath from his lungs.  He watched her desperately trying to catch her
breath, but her inner muscles took control of her body and all she could do was
feel the pleasure burning through her veins to pulse erratically at her temple.

The moment she managed to catch her
breath, Chase rubbed her clit fast and hard.  He thrust into her with hard
short plunges.

“Chase!  Oohh … stoop … aaahhh!”

Chase’s lips closed over her nipple
and he nibbled on the tip.  He thrust faster and bit her nipple sharply.
Mackenzie screamed and another climax ripped through her, seconds after the
first.

She panted and lost her breath
again.    Chase stopped and the moment she took a breath he started again.
Mackenzie screamed as she climaxed immediately a third time.

“Ooohh … you … I …. Aaahh!”

“Beautiful!  Do you know how beautiful
you are when you climax, hotcakes.   Two more, honey.  Give me two more.”

He ignored her cries and she slumped
weakly against him after he made her climax twice more, the one after the
other.

He caressed her nipples, kissing her
tenderly in her neck until she stopped trembling and the throbbing around his
dick lessened.

“Are you okay, honey?”

“You … seem to forget … I am seven
months pregnant!”

He chuckled.  “I have it on good
authority from the doctor that females are a lot more resilient than we think.
Especially when they are pregnant.  Don’t worry, hotcakes.  I won’t be this
demanding during the last month.”

He started to pull her dress back up
over her breasts, but she stayed his hand.  Her eyes sensual and she shook her
head.  His eyebrows lifted.

“I am quite sated, Babe, but the
pleasure you give me when you suckle my breasts … I did not get enough.  More!
I need more … please Babe.”

He
smiled and lowered his head, his lips closing around her nipple and he suckled
hard and loudly, groaning with pleasure.  Mackenzie’s head was thrown back over
his arm behind her back, her swollen breasts jutting upwards, a delicious
offering he accepted greedily.

Mackenzie’s
excitement was catching and everyone was full of smiles, even Billy and Gaby,
the only two that had no idea their wedding was being planned.  Their smiles
just went so much deeper than the rest of them.

Lucy undertook to talk to Anne,
Billy’s mother.  She has been living with regret for thirteen years.  She loved
Gaby and she only did what she did to save her heartache, not realizing how far
their relationship had already developed.  If only Billy told her he had
already broken his engagement so much heartache could have been spared.  When
Lucy told her they found one another again and that they had a son, she cried
uncontrollably.

All the arrangements were in place.
Lauren found a beautiful beach wedding dress. It looked similar to one
Mackenzie found Gaby looking at in a bridal magazine whilst she came for a visit
years ago.  She also found informal white suits for Billy and Zachary that
would complement her dress.  Chase and Aiden found a spot on the beach that had
a natural gazebo.  Mackenzie loved it and agreed it was the perfect spot for
the ceremony. Essie and she decided on the menu which Essie and her team would
prepare.  Lucy and Anne was scheduled to arrive around nine in the morning and
would do the flowers and Mackenzie the table settings.

Chase still did not know how he was
going to get the two of them away before nine and back by twelve for the
wedding.  Mackenzie just smiled and told him she had all confidence in him that
he would find a way.

The wedding day arrived with beautiful
weather ahead of them.  Mackenzie awoke with excitement rushing through her.
Chase was lying on his back next to her, his face turned towards her and hand
curled around her breast. Her nipple pebbled just seeing his large hand folded
around her mound and she moaned.

“Babe!  Wake up.”

“Hmm.”

“Chase, wake up!  It is already
seven!”

“Hmm.”

She grunted and pushed upright with slight
difficulty.  She was becoming less mobile with each passing day.  She swung her
legs over the side of the bed. Chases hand closed around her hip.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

“We have to get up.  It is already
past seven.”

“Come back here, woman.  You know you
are supposed to kiss me good morning before you leave the bed.”

“Chase!  We do not have … oh very
well!”

Instead of lying back on the bed, she
turned sideways and leaned against him.  He was turned on his side.  She
stroked his back and leaned down to kiss him lingeringly.  He tangled his hand
in her hair behind her neck and deepened the kiss.

“Morning, honey.”

“Morning, Babe.”

He leaned forward and placed a long,
lingering kiss on her belly for his evening and morning ritual.

“Morning, Daddy’s little boy!”

Mackenzie just shook her head and
smiled.  He kept his face pressed against her belly and she grasped his head
between her hands.  Her heart overflowing with emotion.  She would never have
thought he would be so involved with her pregnancy.  His pride in becoming a
father was obvious in all his actions, even when he went with her to the obstetrician,
Doctor Wayne Stiles. Walking with her in town he always held her hand and
tugged her close to his side.

“We have not discussed naming our son,
hotcakes.  Do you have any ideas?”

“Yes, just one.”

“You’re not a normal female, do you
know that!  Just one?  Really?”

She smiled, took his face between her
hands and nodded.

“Yes … Carter Hawk.”

Chase could not breathe.  It was the
only thing he wanted, but he never mentioned it to her.  To name his son after
his father. His smile was tender and his eyes filled with moisture.

“Paxton.  Carter Hawk Paxton.”

“Well … maybe one day … for now he
will be Lewis.”

“What the hell do you mean one day?  I
told you we are getting married before the end of this month!”
