Before I gave in, I remembered that I needed
to grab the laptop and make a conference call to my employees. I
put on a tie and suit coat to look up to par then made the call. It
rang three times then my team started picking up one by one. Once
all five of my top execs picked up I began to speak.

“Hello, everyone. I know you’re all
wondering why I made this conference call to you instead of coming
in. I just want you all to know that I am fine and things are
running smooth. There has been a family emergency and I will be out
of the office for a while. Crystal Thompson will be in charge of
the company and will act as the CEO while I am gone. Please contact
her in case of emergency or for whatever you may need authorization
for. Mark Johnson will be ahead of all the internet marketing and
contracts. Jennifer Blakely will be in charge of meetings with the
partners and all out of country affairs. We all know that Justin
Buford is in charge of all things legal and Thomas Jones will be in
charge of general affairs.”

“Together I expect you to all work as one in
order to keep things running smoothly. Only contact me if you are
in dire need of assistance and none of you can come up with a
solution. You can contact me by email or the company phone. If I do
not answer the phone please leave a contact number and the reason
you are calling and I will return your call in a timely manner.
Emails will be returned as soon as I receive them. If you do not
receive an immediate email then try calling. I expect for the
company to run as if I am in office and if the numbers continue to
look great then you all will be compensated with a hefty bonus for
taking on the extra responsibility.

You all were called upon because you are my
most trusted employees and I expect you to act as such. There will
be an email sent to you in a few moments with my expectations and
the daily duties of your roles. I will send an email to the head of
each department with the instructions on who to report to until I
get back. Do you have any questions for me?”

Crystal being the one I knew would not let
me go easily asked, “Mr. Hendrix do you know when you will be
returning sir?”

“Mrs. Thompson I am not sure when I will
return but it will not be too long. I have some family affairs that
I need to handle and I need you to handle things while I am gone.
Will that be a problem?’

“No sir, I will not let you down.”

“Thank you Crystal. Are there any more
questions?”

They all shook their heads no and with that
I ended the call. I chugged the shot down, took off the button up
and suit jacket and replaced my black tee.

My next call was to security that is posted
across the street from where the body was found.

I got up from my seat and headed to my room
at the back to load up. I grabbed my twin desert eagle fifty cals
off the top of the shelf in my closet. I stared at them with my
mind going back and forth playing tug of war with my soul. I know
that once I slide these two in my shoulder holster then there will
be more bodies attached to my soul then one man can account for. I
bowed my head to ask God for forgiveness and to have mercy on my
soul because when I am Dark I know no better. I felt my spirit
shift as I raised my head. No more playing with these niggas. Shit
just got real.

Chapter 19
Dark

I placed the guns in my holster and wrapped
a sheet around my pistol grip pump. I grabbed three boxes of
bullets, tucked the sheet under my arm, and exited my apartment
building. I had a couple of pre-rolled blunts of Kush already ready
for me. I sniffed the cigar and lit it up when I got in my ride so
that I could get my head together. I put in Meek Mills and blasted
“Chiraq” as loud as I could to hunt the city for these niggas that
think they want war. My eyes darted in every direction and the
adrenaline began to pump heavily through my body. I started rapping
to the song with murder on my mind and ice in my veins,

“You fuck around get
smoked
You fuck around, you fuck around, you fuck around, get smoked,
nigga
You fuck around get smoked
Uh, niggas know the rules in my hood, if you touch me, you get
murked
We ain't with that back and forth, it ain't no rap, we hittin'
first
G-5, we be at LIV by Sunday when you in the Church
Momma stressing, selling dinner platters, tryna get your casket,
and get ya hearse
Last nigga that slid on us, got dropped on it, he told on us
Every nigga you see with me got ice on 'em, bank rolls on us
Nah, nigga no 1 on 1's we don't fight fair, we just roll on
'em
V-S stones and Cuban links, all that ice wear with that gold on
'em
We ain't swinging no flag, nigga
We ain't need no pass, nigga
Glock 40 with a 30 clip and laser on it, play tag with us
Everybody wanna talk bricks 'till them feds, swoop in and grab
niggas
Dream chasers got into something, we don't never bleak cause we
trash niggas
I don't know if y'all heard about what my homie do with that 30
out
Deen Buck still in the cut and stay fittin' to let Ernie out
I ain't even gotta say nothin' 'bout that other homie that you
heard about
Cause if he heard about that you run your mouth
He come to your house and start swervin' out
Catch me in Y-C, out Shadyville, I'm in the tank
Only time its mayhem when I'm in the booth or I'm in the bank
Summertime in La Marina with Dominicans going in the paint
Pullin' up screamin' Dimelo catch you in Brooklyn, get pita rolled
pussy!”
I banged my hand on the
steering wheel while bobbing my head gangsta grooving to the
lyrics. I was ready to get into something. That song had always
been able to get me on the level that I needed to be and today was
no different. I rapped the whole song while I glided through
Duncanville headed toward Oak Cliff. I traveled down Camp Wisdom to
Hampton Rd. and busted a right on Red Bird Lane so I can go through
Singing Hills. I made a left on Singing Hills Dr. and headed
towards this spot I know named Lil Cajun where those niggas always
hang out at.

I crept through the block on a mission for
blood. It wasn’t long before I spotted the nigga Lil Blue with some
more young boys standing in front like it wasn’t war. I circled the
block a couple times to see if they would notice me. When I saw
that they weren’t paying attention I made a left on Ledbetter and
parked my car at the abandoned building behind Lil Cajun. I was
still rapping the lyrics in my head as I speed walked from behind
the building to head towards Lil Blue. As I approached I pulled my
guns from my holster and pointed them at my targets. The fools had
their backs toward me talking to some thots so they didn’t even get
to see me coming.

Boom, the sound of the cannon echoed as the
first shot landed to the back of one of the lil niggas head. His
head exploded then skull and brain matter flew everywhere as his
body dropped with a thud. The other two stood there frozen while
looking on in disbelief. The cat that stood next to Lil Blue moved
ten seconds to late and I quickly turned my pistol on him as he
reached for his and sent another shot that landed in his face.

Lil Blue tried to run so I steadied the
pistol and sent a bullet in his direction that got him in the leg.
All three bodies lay there sprawled on the ground with two faceless
but I didn’t want to kill Lil Blue. That nigga is known for running
his mouth so I had something better for him in mind. I wasn’t
worried about the chickens because they took off running and were
long gone after they heard the explosion from one of the twins. I
snatched Lil Blue up by the collar and said, “Bitch ass nigga
you’re coming with me.

I dragged him across the parking lot like a
rag doll right to my car. I popped the trunk, threw him inand then
quickly jumped in the driver’s seat. The fool was kicking and
screaming so loud that I cut the radio up as far as it can go to
drown him out.

These niggas think this is
a game. I am that nigga; Dark I am and I’m back in
action
. I thought to myself.

I called Warren G and told him to get the
room ready then headed towards the chamber. The funeral home is
only five minutes away on Lancaster Rd. so I made it there in
record time. I parked behind the building, popped the trunk, then
picked Blue up by his neck and flung him on the ground. I pointed
my pistol at his head and with my eyes I dare him to try to
run.

“Get ya bitch ass up nigga.”

“Legend don’t kill me. I don’t know what’s
going on. What did I do to you?”

“Nigga you on the wrong team,” I replied as
I swung my pistol and hit him in the mouth knocking out several of
his teeth. He fell backwards onto his butt then leaned over on all
fours and spit out the blood that was rapidly filling his mouth. I
pointed the pistol back at his face so he used all the strength he
could gather to stand up. His body swayed and he staggered a bit
almost falling over because of his bad leg. I got tired of looking
at him so I wrapped my forearm around his throat and drug him in
through the back door of the funeral home.

“Man the fuck up! I bet you wasn’t crying or
playing dumb when you niggas killed my lil homie.”

“It wasn’t me Legend, I promise.”

“Shut the hell up Blue, you may as well have
pulled the trigger because all you niggas are guilty anyway.”

I frowned up my face and my frustration grew
just watching this grown man cry like a bitch. I slapped him a few
times and Warren G just watched while waiting patiently for me to
get through so he could get in on the action. G stood in the
chamber with a gaze in his eyes that let me know he has been
missing the action of being in the streets. I dapped G up then
dropped Blue on the floor. G kicked him in his sides repeatedly and
he gasped for air trying to catch his breath after each blow. G got
tired of playing with him so he quickly snatched him up from the
ground and hung him from the wrist by the chains that attached to
the ceiling.

I pulled a chair up in front of him and
said, “You’re gonna tell me everything you know or I’m going to
make sure you have a closed casket. You are the holder of your
faith. At this moment you need to decide whether you want a closed
or open casket and a fast or slow death so talk and start talking
now. Either way you die!”

“Man I don’t know nothing. I just run the
trap. They only give me orders and I follow them with no questions
asked.”

“Tsk, tsk, that’s exactly where you messed
up at. You follow a man who didn’t even tell you what type of
danger he has put you in. It sucks to be you. Maybe next time you
will decide to lead your own show.” “Strip him!” I told G.

I strutted casually over to the table and
looked over at all the tools that lay before me that one would need
for torture spread about. G grabbed some scissors off the table and
proceeded to cut his pants off then his shirt. Blue continued to
yell and shake and beg for his life so G punched him in his mouth
to shut him up. G must’ve hit him with a quitter because soon after
he got hit he started snoring. Blue was hanging there with his head
dangling to the side naked as the day he was born with blood
leaking from his leg and mouth with his face sweating bullets. I
splashed some water on him to wake him up and when he did open his
eyes the look of terror that graced his face only added fuel to my
fire. I grabbed a face mask and a blow torch then approached him
slowly while flicking the torch off and on.

“What are you going to do with that torch
man? I will talk! I will talk!”

“My nigga you should have said that at
first. Now I got to give you a reason to open yo mouth and make
sure you continue until I get through with you.” I replied as I
placed the flames close to his skin then pulled them back.

I stood in front of Blue with the torch lit
and started moving up the front of his leg and ended where his
balls were. His nuts began to shrivel like bacon and his screams
bounced off the walls sounding like he was howling at the moon. The
chorus that played from his mouth was symphonic like Mozart and was
music to my ears. After listening to his howls and scorching his
balls for sixty seconds I stepped back to give him a moment to get
his bearings. The fool was taking too long and my patience was
wearing thin. His body shook convulsively and his head bobbed up
and down from him blacking in and out. Frustrated, I walked to the
back of the chamber where we held the injections and grabbed a
bottle of Provigil and a needle.

I filled the syringe with the liquid then
thumped it twice and squeezed so that I could make sure I had a
good flow through the needle. I returned to my position in front of
him and jammed the needle in his neck then filled his body with the
solution. No sooner than the fluids pumped through his blood he was
wide awake.

“Yea play boy, you thought you were gonna get
the easy way out. I want you wide awake so you can see everything I
am about to do to you.”

Soon as I said that Blue opened his mouth
and started to tell me everything he knew about Danger and his
operation. I stood quietly and listened to him for all of thirty
minutes. When I felt had heard enough I walked away without any
words. I grabbed my jagged edged knife off the counter and had G
hold his head back while I gripped his tongue with some vice grips
and sliced the disloyal tongue out of his mouth. Once that was
complete I dropped the knife on the floor and grabbed a machete off
the table then began chopping body parts away limb by limb. I
packed his limbs into several garbage bags and had G take the bags
to the car. On the way back I had G bring me my duffle bag so that
I could change out of the bloody clothes. I had so much blood on me
that there was no way I was going to keep this on for the rest of
the day.

G did as I asked and brought what I needed.
I took a quick shower then changed into something all black similar
to what I had on at first. I dapped G up one more time then exited
the chamber. I hopped back into my car, put “Lay It Down” on replay
and left out of the parking lot headed to each of the spots Blue
told me about.
