She grabbed my hand and pulled us towards the packed dance floor where the music was pumping. It wasn’t the only thing pumping. The two shots and few sips I had taken were already making their way through me; making me feel light and carefree.

I should go dancing more.
I had thought as I swayed my hips to the music throwing my hands in the air once I was done with my drink. Everyone was dancing with everyone, no one being left out of the mix. Reggie grabbed my hands, pulling us closer together as we danced with one another. Some 90s old school music was pounding through the speakers, making it easy to initially let go and feel carefree. Reggie worked her heels like she was born to rock them. She probably came out the womb wearing them.

Even during our weeknight classes, she’d wear heels as she worked her pole. I always teased her about being one gutsy mofo. My luck, I’d break my neck, or chip a tooth. Neither were a risk I was willing to take—especially the latter. I had a phobia about dentists ever since I was a small child. Another thing mommy dearest was responsible for.

I started dancing backwards away from Reggie, shaking my head back and forth to the beat with my hands up in the air.

Then I felt it—a heated presence settling in behind me. It startled me at first and my eyes shot open spotting Reggie watching with a big grin. She nodded and for some reason I took her silent word allowing my alcohol haze to welcome the man behind me. That much I at least new, was the sex of the species because of his hands that wrapped around my waist. I leaned back into the man molding himself to me, as I melted into him and closed my eyes. He leaned his head down, touching mine, and I could smell the scent of liquor on his breath. I deeply inhaled, taking it in as well as the smell of his cologne. The familiarity of it made me grind myself into him even more as his hands dug into my hips, holding me snuggly against him.

“Do you come here often?” He laughed and his breath tickled my skin, causing me to involuntarily shiver. I was about to whip around and come up with something clever to say, but he spoke again before I could. “I’m glad you actually showed up.” His voice was laced with seduction as it left his lips. “By the way it sounded, you weren’t certain.” Words so hot, they sent tingles throughout my body, but words that weren’t meant for me. No one besides Reggie knew I was going there. It must have been a sad, sad case of mistaken identity. One that I didn’t want to fess up to. I was enjoying his touch far more than I should have.

“I think you have the wrong person,” I said as I kept the rhythm going, afraid that if I broke it, the connection would’ve been lost for good.

“Is that so?” He laughed—I shivered. “Damn, that’s too bad then. I was certain you were the girl I left candy for this morning. The same girl who isn’t allergic to pollen. And the same girl who said aloud where she’d be tonight in attempts I’d get the hint.” I could feel him smiling against my neck after he whispered those words near my ear. More shivers ran up and down my body. My body was misbehaving. It knew better. I’d just have to have a little one on one with it later—which would consist with my hand between my legs. “Hint received.”

His words made me want to have a one on one with him instead of my hand later on. Great! My mind was rebelling as well. What was a girl to do when her mind and body fought against her? Nothing. Because if the body and mind were already co-authoring some filthy, moan worthy plot, then the fight had already been won.

“I’m really enjoying dancing with you. So please tell me you’re not some crazy stalker dude.” He let out a rich, deep laugh that oddly had me smiling.

Creepers don’t laugh when you ask if they’re creepers, right? I thought while my mind tried to make sense of the guy. There went letting loose. I just hopped over the fence post I’ve always kept my ass firmly planted on. I hoped the end result wasn’t my picture on the back of a milk carton. If they even still did that.

“I’m in town for the next week or so for business. That’s why I was at Mitchell Publishing the last two days.”

Click. I should have caught on from the first line he’d dropped, but my mind was in no place to be putting two and two together.

“Doing research?” I asked.

“Yes. I wanted to see you again…outside of that building since the business I had there is finished.”

“Well, here I am.”

I turned to face the man who had held me close for the last two songs and my mind the previous day and a half. Deep hazel eyes are what I made contact with first. I tried not to make it obvious that along with the closeness, those swirls of brown and green affected me as well. Being that close to him made me enjoy his hair even more. It was the perfect length and it’d surely look nice wrapped around my hands while clinging to him. I couldn’t help the dirty thoughts that were filling my mind. I knew I was drunk, but in that moment, I wasn’t sure which I was intoxicated more on. Magic Mike or the alcohol I’d consumed.

I looked away feeling like I suddenly needed to find my friend—possibly send out a search and rescue in that crowd just to do so.

“Everything okay?” He asked as I turned around, really needing to find Reggie.

“Yeah, just looking for my friend.” He wrapped his arm around me, turning me around.

“How bout we look for your friend as we make our way to the bar?” It was composed as a question, but it was anything but when he pulled my hand into his, not waiting for an answer.

One hour, three drinks, and my best friend leaving with her ex later, I found myself in a glorious compromising position as I was hoisted onto the counter of the locked bathroom. I wrapped my legs tightly against his, digging the heels of my boots into the backs of his thighs, and pulling him closer into me. His want for me had been evident most of the night as we danced together, but with it pressing up against me from the front instead of the back; it had me dizzy with desire.

I wanted to push back against the guy whose sexiness and want for me was rooting for me to go against my better judgment. But in that moment, my better judgment was hooting and hollering from the sideline for me to strip him down and take him right there as well. The devil on the shoulder was kicking the angel’s ass. In the devil’s defense, the angel had been wearing the victory belt for far too long and knew this day would come.

The things he was doing to my body just by pressing up against me and working my mouth over with his, had me not able to think straight. Or maybe that was all the liquor I’d consumed. Either way, both combined were a toxic combination.

“Wait,” I said breathlessly. He was panting just as much as I was. His hands cupped my face as he searched my eyes, knowing from my body’s reaction that I wanted him just as badly as he did me. I shook my head as I rambled and processed the situation out loud. “I know the purpose of tonight was for me to loosen up, but I’m pretty sure chancing an STD or pregnancy aren’t standard ways of letting loose.” I’m not sure why I even mentioned the pregnancy part. I was on the pill. I knew that wasn’t one of the main issues I needed to worry about, and in all reality, I had no issues to debate period. It was just me and the way my mind worked trying to convince itself to not let me get caught up in certain situations. But my mind had slipped up that time. It should’ve been having that pep talk way before it allowed me to land my ass in a bathroom with him.

“What?” He laughed in disbelief, dropping his hands. “You think I have an STD?” He completely bypassed the whole pregnancy aspect that I had mentioned as well.

I looked at him, staring into his gorgeous eyes. Those damn eyes that I cursed for being so sexy and spellbinding—along with everything else about him. “I don’t know.” I shrugged. “You could.”

“And so could you.” He threw back, not moving away from me as we had an awkward sex education discussion in the bathroom of a club. I doubted bringing that stuff up was typical protocol when it came to one-night stands. Hell, I’m not even sure there is such a thing as typical protocol.

“Yeah, maybe if I was out tramping around all the time
.”
I blushed once I realized that I had basically revealed how often I didn’t have sex. I crossed my arms thinking to myself ‘good that should scare him off.’ It usually did. Guys that had seemed interested in my looks weren’t all about my inexperience.

I glanced up, expecting for the guy to either have a disgusted or cocky look plastered on his face. It could’ve easily gone both ways. But he didn’t. It was more a look of relief that I saw in his eyes. And it confused me. Seeing as though I was in a locked bathroom ready to have sex with someone I had known—kinda—less than twenty-four hours, he probably assumed I was some chick who put out on a regular basis. But that was the furthest thing from the truth.

“I’m clean. I can promise you that,” he said, closing the distance, as he placed his hand against my cheek in a reassuring manner, comforting me into submission. My body literally melted into his hand. “We don’t have to do this tonight, but you’ll just be prolonging the inevitable if you decide against it.” His hand moved to my neck, cradling it as it fell back and his free hand trailed up my thigh, moving under the jean fabric of my shorts. “If you don’t want to go all the way, I won’t fight it, but let me at least give you a taste of what you’ll be missing out on.” He bent down, whispering into my ear, licking the edge of it as his finger slipped beneath the security of my cotton panties. Man was I thankful for my non-painted on shorts at that very moment. And so was my conscious pussy.

I bit my lip—hard—suppressing the moan. I internalized it by pressing my center closer to him, as his finger moved in and out of me deeper and faster.

“So wet. So wet and tight
.”
He murmured praises into my neck as he recklessly worked his finger in and out of me. I had never been touched as possessively and with such expertise as I had with him. In my mind, he had to be a professional fingerer. That had to be a profession, right?

Knocking at the door broke through my consciousness and caused my body to tense.

“Wait your fuckin’ turn,” he turned his head, yelling toward the door.

“We need to go,” I said hesitantly as he continued working his finger, adding his thumb to the mix as he rubbed my clit. My hands pressed into the top of the counter as I pushed myself further into the wall. I could feel it deep within me—signs of what was to come, forming and beginning to crackle throughout my body. Like an electrical current seeking full charge. Sparks here and there uniting, wanting to become one combustible unit.

“We aren’t leaving this bathroom until you get off. Either by my finger or my dick. The choice is yours.”

“Seriously?” I withered even more beneath him. “Who talks like that?” I had never been so turned on in all my life. It wasn’t just the way he was touching me, but that damn mouth of his could get me off by words alone.

“Men who know what they’re doing.” He looked up and gave me a sexy smirk.

He worked his finger in and out. My head fell back, welcoming the sensations his fingers were sending through my body. He applied more pressure as he rubbed my clit. I tried to close my legs, to push away the vibrations that were beginning to buzz. He pushed his body more into mine, keeping my legs from doing so.

“I’m ready to get off now.” I twisted my hands into his brown hair and brought his lips to mine as I clamped my legs around his waist, getting lost in the closeness.

“I thought you’d never ask,” he panted against my lips. I could see how bad he wanted me. I could feel it in the way he touched me and the way his eyes held mine. The friction of not being fully connected worked him over just as much as his finger did to me.

“I’m not asking,” I said with a primal need I’d never felt before. He pushed another finger inside me, filling me more. I let out a soft moan as our lips parted, keeping my eyes on his as I came around his fingers.

I wanted more. But I couldn’t go through with it.

“I can’t,” I said breathlessly, placing my hand against his chest.

He didn’t hesitate in the slightest as he pulled his fingers out, adjusting my panties as he did, never altering the distance between us. He kept his body close to mine, surprising me. I had just denied him sex, and he hadn’t run or showed any anger. I didn’t understand it.

“I’m sorry,” I began with my head hanging down. I was ready to give him a full-blown apology. He didn’t silence me by pressing a finger against my lips.

He simply placed a finger under my chin and lifted my head up. “Don’t.” He shook his head. “Don’t apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“I basically led you on.” I felt a bit disgusted with myself. The last thing I wanted to be was a tease. In my book, it was just as bad as a whore.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the moment,” he shrugged then leaned into me. “So don’t beat yourself up about it.” He pressed his lips to mine, and heat shot through my body. His lips felt as if they had a charged current running within them. As they moved against mine, I felt the electrified voltage rise back up to uncharted heights.

I pushed him away. Slightly forceful this time with both hands.

The kiss left me feeling light and weak kneed as I stood and readjusted my clothes. I couldn’t help but watch as he adjusted his erection in his pants. It made me feel guilty. And curious. I hated that a part of me wanted to experience what his pants were failing horribly to hide.

“Well, thanks,” I offered, unsure what the proper lingo consisted of after someone unselfishly got you off. I didn’t want to seem selfish on my part like I had some entitlement to it. Getting fingered by a stranger—kind of stranger—in a club bathroom wasn’t on my list, but if I had known how good it would’ve been, it would’ve been number one.

“Umm, you’re welcome. I guess.” He cocked a brow at me before strutting over and tracing my jawline with his knuckle. “But if we’re giving thanks, then I need to properly thank you.” I didn’t know what he was thanking me for, but I didn’t bother to voice that. He twisted his hand in my hair and eagerly brought our faces together, giving me one hell of a kiss to remember him by—a little souvenir for me to take home. Like I’d ever be able to forget him.
