“Baby, fuck!” I manage through clenched teeth, holding her eyes as I fill her.

Moving my hands from their hold on the headboard, I squeeze her hips tightly, not ready to leave her yet. Letting my head fall back slightly, I glance down to see her still lying breathless beneath me. Still unable to speak clearly, the only sound in the room is our panting, both of us smirking at each other.

Leaning forward, I give her a chaste kiss, the movement doing crazy things to both of us. Pulling away from her slightly, I move one hand from her hip and lean over her, hovering over her lips.

“Oh my God,” I pant, gently taking her mouth. “I really fucking missed you.”

“I can tell,” she blushes, kissing me back. “I really fucking missed you, too, baby.”

Chapter Twenty Four

Addie

After staying locked in my room for a few hours, we went in search of food. He’d have to head back to school on Sunday, so we didn’t have much time together, but we were determined to enjoy what time we did have.

Since I still didn’t have any friends really, we didn’t do very much, but that was fine by me. It didn’t seem to matter much to him, either. We’d gotten lucky because Brittany came by late Friday night and said she’d be gone most of the weekend. I’d grown to like her more since I got here, but I didn’t want to have to tiptoe or share our time together with anyone.

Aside from my Saturday class, which I couldn’t miss or I would have skipped, we didn’t spent a minute of the weekend apart. We didn’t have much money, so our options were limited as far as going out. One thing I’d always loved about me and Zeke, though, was that we didn’t need anything to have fun. Even before things changed with us over the summer, we only needed each other to be happy.

By the time Sunday rolled around, we stayed inside until he had to leave, both of us desperate to get our fill before sundown. While his schedule was sure to be just as crazy for the rest of the semester, we knew we’d see each other at Thanksgiving which was just over a month away. The thought of not seeing him until then wasn’t one I loved, but after just having survived two months, I knew we could do it.

Once he was headed back on Sunday, I slowly made my way up the steps and back into my room. When I pushed the door open, I was surprised to find Brittany sitting on her bed on her computer.

“Hey,” she says, giving me a small smile.

“Hey,” I reply, pushing the door shut behind me. “I’m surprised you’re here.”

“Yeah, well I saw you saying goodbye to your boyfriend outside, so I figured it was safe to come back,” she smirks.

“You didn’t have to stay gone the whole time,” I blush, sitting across from her on my bed.

“Yeah I did,” she grins, finally meeting my eyes. “You and I haven’t had many talks, but ninety percent of what you’ve said revolved around him. I know you never see him, so there’s no way I was going to keep y’all from doing… whatever it is you did all weekend.”

“Thanks,” I laugh, happy for the distraction.

I was sad to see him go, even sadder to know there was little chance I’d see him before my next trip home, but grateful we’d had the weekend. I don’t think either of us knew how badly we needed it until he actually got here. Not only were we both sexually frustrated in ways I’d never known were possible, but I just missed him. His smell, his touch, the way his devastatingly gorgeous blue eyes look at me after he kisses me senseless… all the things you just couldn’t get from a phone call.

As I stretch out over my bed, I bury my nose into my pillow and savor in the familiar scent of cinnamon and Zeke. Before too long, I’m drifting off, phone in hand as I wait for his call, wishing for November to be here when I wake up again.

October 15, 2010

After sitting in one of my more brain numbing classes, I’m packing my things back into my bag when I hear my phone go off in my pocket. Flipping it open, I look down to see Brittany’s face on my screen with a text.

Where are you?! ~Britt

With a smirk, I tell her I’m leaving class and hit send, slipping my phone into my pocket. In less than ten seconds, I get another text.

OMG! I need to talk to you! It’s sooo serious! ~Britt

Pulling my bag onto my shoulder, I make my way out to the hallway, scrolling through my messages to see if Zeke texted while I was in class. I knew he’d have a busy day today since there was a game tomorrow, but I was still bummed to find no messages from him. I did find two more that Brittany had sent in the past couple minutes since I’d finished my class, urging me to hurry back to our building.

While she and I hadn’t spent much time together when I first got here, over the past couple of weeks, we’d grown to become friends. I still didn’t see her much, but when I did it was much easier for us to talk than it had been before.

As I head back toward our room, I’m more than grateful for the short walk. Although I’m glad I’ve been able to keep myself busy, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t exhausted.  Between classes, tutoring, homework and the volunteer position I’d picked up, I spent most days feeling like a zombie. I knew in the end it would be worth it though. In just over a month, I’d be back home with Zeke and then we’d have finals and a full month off for winter break.

It can’t come fast enough.

When I make it to our building, I press send and wait for Brittany to pick up, curious about what’s so urgent. She answers on the first ring, her voice so loud and excited, it makes me jump.

“Addie! Where are you?”

“I’m coming up stairs right now,” I tell her. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing!” she says, her movement obvious through the phone. “I’m coming to meet you!”

“Okay,” I chuckle. “Well, will you tell me what’s going on at least?”

“What are you doing tomorrow?” she asks hurriedly as I hear her rushing past people to meet me, apologizing when she knocks into someone.

“Um… I have class until eleven and I’m supposed to do a shift at the shelter, why?”

“Do you think you can find someone to cover you at the shelter?”

“Probably,” I admit. “But I’d have to tell them why and I don’t know the answer to that yet.”

“Well, you know my friend Jennifer whose sister is a cheerleader here?” she asks, not waiting for a response. “Well, her boyfriend, Sam, plays for A&M, too.”

“Really?” I ask, still not understanding where she’s going with this.

“Yes, really and do you know who we’re playing tomorrow?” she asks as I make my way to the top of the stairs on our floor.

“A&M,” I say, coming to a slow stop.

“Yes ma’am,” she says, the smile obvious in her voice. “And can you guess who just got both of us a ride to the game tomorrow?”

“No way!”

“I see you!” she says, pulling my attention to the other end of the hallway where I see her waving over the half dozen people separating us.

Both of us pushing our way toward each other, we meet in the middle.

“Are you serious?” I ask into my phone, my heart beating a million miles a minute.

“Yes!” she says, laughing when I keep my phone to my ear. “Addie, hang your phone…”

“Oh my God!” I shout, pulling her into a hug and cutting her off. “Brittany, thank you so much! I can’t believe I’m gonna get to see Zeke tomorrow! This is so awesome!”

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you talk this much,” she laughs, hugging me back. “I’m happy I was able to do it. I’m sick of seeing you mope around,” she teases. “We leave tomorrow at eleven-thirty and we’re coming back Sunday night.”

“I’m gonna go call him right now,” I say, the smile still stuck on my face as I pull her in for another hug. “Thank you again so much!”

“You’re welcome,” she calls behind me with a light laugh.

Zeke

I’m about to call Addie after her class when my phone starts ringing, surprising me when I see her face on the screen.

“Hey baby,” I smile. “I was just about to…”

“Oh my God, babe!” she shouts into the phone, cutting me off.  “You are never going to guess what just happened!”

“What?” I ask, not sure if I should be scared or not.

“Brittany’s friends with a girl who’s dating someone you play with,” she starts. “Her sister is a cheerleader here and she’s going to the game and Brittany and me are coming to the game there tomorrow with her!”

“Wait… What?” I ask, my heart pounding. “You’re coming here?”

“Yes! I’ll be there for your game tomorrow and then we’re staying until Sunday night!”

“Are you fucking serious?” I ask again, my voice finally matching hers. “You’re gonna be here tomorrow?”

“Yes! I’m leaving after my morning class at eleven-thirty, so I probably won’t get to see you before, but I’ll get to watch you play!”

“And you’re staying all night?”

“Yes,” she laughs, the sound of her plopping onto the bed coming through the phone. “And most of the day Sunday, too!”

“Holy shit, Addie!”

“I know! I’m so excited!”

“Me, too, babe,” I say quietly, my face aching from the smile I’m wearing.

Up until about two minutes ago, I thought for sure I’d have to wait another month to see her. I knew we could do it, but if I’m being honest, the wait has been killing me. I’d never admit it to her, she’s already having a hard enough time dealing with it, but the truth is, this has been tougher than I thought. I’m lost in my thoughts when her voice breaks through, pulling me back.

“You’re happy, aren’t you?” she asks. “You’re not saying very much.”

“Of course I’m happy. I’m just shocked,” I admit. “I’m so happy! I can’t wait to fuckin’ see you, baby.”

“Good,” she says, her voice smiling again. “Is your roommate gonna be cool with it?”

“Josh? Yeah, he’s cool,” I tell her. “Don’t worry about that.”

“Okay.”

“Shit, I have to get ready to go to practice,” I say, cursing the clock. “I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay,” she starts. “I knew you couldn’t talk long, I just couldn’t wait to tell you.”

“I’m glad you called me,” I tell her. “It’s gonna be awesome, baby. I can’t fuckin’ wait to see you.”

Chapter Twenty Five

Addie

The next morning, I wake up a bundle of nervous excitement. I hadn’t been able to sleep a wink last night, so I was up early to get ready. I’d been able to cover my shift at the shelter pretty easily, now I just had to make it through this class. It was an easy class so I thought the hour would be a cake walk, but focusing on anything but the clock is nearly impossible.

The second we’re dismissed, I’m out of my seat and making a mad dash toward our building. I’d packed my small bag last night while I talked to Zeke and Brittany agreed to bring it down for me so we could leave the minute I got done. By the time I make it to entrance, Brittany is waiting for me, smile in place.

“You ready?” she asks, pulling a nod from me.

“Yes! I thought that class would never end,” I smile, following her to the car.

Although I don’t really know her friends, they seem nice. I’d gotten used to feeling like an outsider most my life, so I appreciate the effort they take to include me in their conversation.

“So your boyfriend is Zeke, huh?” Jennifer says, peeking around the passenger seat to face me.

“Yeah,” I smile. “Do you know him?”

“No, not really,” she admits. “I know of him, but we’ve never met. Sam has mentioned a couple of the guys and I just remember his name coming up. I’ve met his roommate Josh, though. He’s a cool guy, you’ll like him.”

The conversation comes easy as we make our way down the highway. I’ve sent Zeke a text to let him know I’m on my way and he replied with a cheesy picture of himself, saying he can’t wait to see me. When my phone sounds off again, I’m surprised to see another text from him.

Where are your seats? -Z

Relaying the information, I wait patiently to see if he’ll reply. I know he’s doing pre-game stuff right now, so I’m surprised when he texts me right back.

Perfect. ;) Text me when you get here. Love you -Z

The three and a half hour drive seems to take forever, but eventually, we make it. The stadium is jam packed, so by the time we arrive we barely have time to find our seats before the announcer begins. Knowing he probably won’t be able to reply, I let Zeke know I’ve arrived and slip my phone in my pocket. I’m happy to see that the seats we got are great ones, keeping us close enough to see the action.

When the players begin to make their way out of the tunnel, I can’t contain the feeling of giddiness that fills me. The electricity coursing through me knowing he’s near has me feeling like a total groupie, but I can’t even bring myself to regret it.

I’m about to see him! I’m actually about to see him!

Try as I might, I don’t see his number in the maroon and white blur as they come running out. To be fair though, it happens so fast, I can’t see any of them clearly. I’m watching the field, looking for any sign of my favorite number in the world when my eyes finally fall on him.

“Do you see him?” Brittany asks with a smirk when the involuntary squeal leaves me.

“Yeah! He’s right there,” I tell her, pointing down near the forty yard line.

The rest of the game, my eyes stay on him only half aware of what’s going on. A few times, I see him glancing over in our direction, but I’m sure there’s no way he can see us in the sea of people. Halfway through the second quarter, though, he runs thirty yards and scores a touchdown, putting them in the lead. The crowd erupts, but their reaction has nothing on mine. I scream so loud, a couple of people around us actually turn to see where all the commotion is coming from, but I don’t care.

“That’s my boyfriend!” I scream, gripping a laughing Brittany and jumping up and down in excitement. “Oh my God! He kicks so much ass!”

I’m already excited enough knowing that everyone’s cheering for him, beaming as I watch his goofy touchdown dance in the end zone. When he points in our direction and then holds his hand over his heart and throws me a kiss, though I nearly pass out.

It takes everything inside me not to rush the field.

Zeke

Showering as fast as I can, I throw on my clothes and pull my phone out, checking my messages. I make my way to the place we’d agreed to meet, unable to keep the smile off my face when I see her talking to her roommate. She hasn’t seen me yet, so I take advantage of it by sneaking up behind her. I scoop her into my arms, laughing when she lets out a high pitched scream. In the next second, her lips are on mine as her chest still heaves.

“You scared the shit out of me,” she laughs, pulling away slightly to take me in.

“Sorry,” I chuckle, kissing her again. “I’m so glad you made it.”

“Me, too,” she smiles, squeezing me closer and inhaling my scent. “Missed you.”

“I missed you more,” I say softly as I bury my face into her neck.

“Liar,” she says softly as I pull away, smiling wide and planting kisses all over my face. “Did you really see me or were you just trying to destroy my ovaries?”

“No,” I laugh loudly. “I saw you.”

“He probably
heard
you,” Brittany snorts, making her blush before she looks up at me again.

“Really?” she asks, cutting her eyes at me when I nod. “I still think you’re full of it, but it was super hot, so I’m gonna let you off the hook.”

“Okay,” I chuckle, kissing her cheek and glancing over her shoulder at the girls she’d been talking to. “Are you gonna introduce me to your friends?”

“Oh, sorry,” she laughs, blushing again as she realizes she’s still resting in my arms while they watch our exchange. “This is Jennifer, her sister Andrea drove us, and you already know Brittany.”

“Hey,” I smile, giving them a nod. “Thanks for bringing her up.”

“No problem,” Jennifer says with a smile. “Sam and I take turns going back and forth, so she can come with me any time.”

“That would be awesome,” I say, kissing Addie’s hair. “Thanks.”

“Sure,” she nods.

“So what are y’all about to do?” I ask, watching them shrug before glancing down at my girl. “There’s a party. You wanna go, baby?”

“Sure,” she smiles.

“Okay, let’s go then,” I say, kissing her cheek and setting her down onto her feet.

The others start toward the parking lot as Addie takes my hand, squeezing my arm to her chest. Her blonde hair is down, gently sweeping over the back of the A&M t-shirt I brought her when I drove to see her. When she feels me watching her, she glances up at me, giving me a small smile, squeezing my hand in hers.

God, she’s so fuckin’ pretty.

“Hang on, baby,” I say low, stopping in my tracks and calling ahead to the others. “Sam, can you take them over? I gotta go back.”

“Sure man,” he calls back, giving me a knowing smirk. “I’ll see you over there.”

“What did you forget?” Addie asks, following me as I lead her back the way I’d just come.

“Over here,” I tell her, pulling her to the side and checking the door, relieved when it clicks open.

Looking around quickly, I make sure no one is coming and I pull her in behind me into a storage room. Pulling the door shut behind us, I glance over to see her eyes finding mine, filled with amusement.

“Sorry baby,” I tell her, dropping my bag. “I can’t wait til…”

Before I can finish my sentence, she’s pulling me to her mouth, kissing me hard. Immediately, she goes to work on my jeans, pulling a low groan from my chest as I feel her hands on me. Pushing her against the metal rack behind her, I run my lips down her neck as I unzip her jeans and help her peel them down her legs.

“That’s good enough,” I husk out as her jeans reach her knees. “Turn around, baby.”

In seconds, she spins in my arms and taking hold of her hips, I push into her causing both of us to let out loud moans of pleasure. In seconds, I’m thrusting into her hard and fast, her meeting me thrust for thrust. Gripping the side of the metal rack she’s bent over, I use it as leverage to drive into her with more force.

“Jesus, Addie, fuck!” I manage through clenched teeth. “You’re so fuckin’ tight, baby.”

“Oh my God! You feel so good,” she whimpers below me. “Please don’t stop,” she begs, spurring me on. “Please, Zeke.”

“I won’t,” I promise, not sure how long I can keep my word as she pulls me further into the abyss.

Increasing my pace, she grows wetter around me and I can tell by the way she begins to tighten, she’s not far. When she begins calling my name out, I feel the heat beginning to build low and I know I’m close, too.

“You ready?” I ask her, watching her nod.

“Yes!” she calls out, gripping the edge of the rack. “Oh my God, yes!”

“Let me have it, baby,” I croon, watching her unravel in front of me.

Throwing her head back, I watch as her orgasm takes her, feel it wash over me as my name echoes off the walls around us.

“Fuck Addie,” I groan low. “I’m gonna come, baby.”

“Yes baby,” she moans as I fill her, biting her lip and releasing a low hum of pleasure that nearly ends me.

As I slow my movements, I release my grip on the metal rack, resting my forehead against her heaving back.

“Oh my God,” I manage, panting hard against her as I collect my breath. “That was so badass, babe. I’m so glad you came to see me.”

My words have her letting out a low giggle, making my lips curl up into a smile. Once we catch our breath, we pull away and redress quietly, not able to take our eyes off each other.

“We won’t stay long,” I tell her as I pick up my bag and take her hand, watching her shrug.

“It’s okay,” she says, following me back out to the now empty area we’d just left. “I kind of sprung coming on you, so you don’t need to change your plans for me.”

“Well, that’s sweet, but you trump all the other shit I had planned this weekend,” I say as I kiss her temple, loving the blush that heats her cheeks. “Trust me, I’m fine missing this party. We’ll only stay for a little while, okay?”

“Alright,” she says as we make it to my car and I pull her door open.

Leaning in to kiss her, I watch her settle and push her door shut, throwing my bag in the back seat. As I drive, she pulls her feet up into the seat and hums along to the radio, keeping hold of my hand.

I wish we could skip this party altogether, but it was a bit of a tradition so everyone expected me to be there. As I pull up to the curb, I glance over and see her eyes already on me, a soft smile on her lips.

“You okay?”

“Yeah,” she nods. “Just thinkin’.”

“About what?”

“You,” she admits, smiling bigger. “Just you.”

“I’m so glad you’re here, Addie,” I say, leaning over to kiss her gently. “I love you.”

“Me, too,” she smiles, resting her hand on my jaw. “Love you more.”
