“Yes. Yes! Like that. More.”

No way he was going to survive her panting that at him for
very long. He took the last step, sliding himself almost completely out of her,
jamming it back in, if not full force, hard at least.

“Okay?”

“More than okay. Just keep going and stop worrying about
hurting me, it feels so damn good.”

Again she was rocking back into him, her soft, round cheeks
caressing his balls.

Then there he was at that moment again. The one where he
couldn’t hold himself back from her anymore. He felt her clit tense beneath his
fingers, knew she was close. He leaned back, grabbing her hips to take a full
stride into her ass. That first full thrust felt so good, so deep, so tight.

He slammed it home again, the sound of his balls slapping
her ass softly. The deep groan he heard from her sounded satisfied, not as if
he was hurting her, or at least he hoped he wasn’t just telling himself that.
He slammed into her harder this time, felt the muscles pull at him, her ass
pushing back expectantly. It was just like the first time he’d had her on that
kitchen table, when he’d just buried himself in a frenzy in all that wet
sweetness of her, and she’d pushed him deeper with every stroke. That’s exactly
what he did now, rammed his thick cock into her, punishing that sweet little
ass, and she punished him back just as hard.

God you’re an asshole, it’s her first time and you’re
fucking her like an animal.

She moaned that soft little humming sound that told him she
was not just okay—she was enjoying it, she needed it—and relief flooded him.
Satisfied the long, hard strokes were starting to work on her as much as they
were him, he reached down again for one more slippery tease of that perfect
pink clit, and it pushed her into finally giving up to the release.

Her body rocked, her back arched, her pussy throbbed. He
could feel it where he was buried right next to it. Time to ram it home, this
was way more than he could handle anymore. His hands went back to her hips,
giving himself leverage to plunge deep into her, slamming her hot ass back onto
him, bucking her forward again. He knew he was hurting her again, he just
couldn’t stop.

Like always, what he thought he knew and what she threw out
at him, were two entirely different things. It was her turn to give him
commands. “That’s it, grab my hips, harder, push harder!” Her voice was sharp,
she’d learned well from his lessons. It drove him nearly mad.

“Look at me, Grant.” She turned her head as much as she
could to catch his gaze. He looked at her eyes. Intense, smoky green with
passion, but also vivid, well aware what she was doing. Her shaking orgasm had
passed and he felt the shift as she turned her attention on him, the look on
her face intent and focused.

“How does my virgin ass feel wrapped around your cock,
Grant?”

The words shot through him so hard it was as if he’d touched
a live wire. “So good. So fucking good,” was all he could growl out at her.

“That’s it, oh god, Grant! Harder!”

He did as he was told.

“Just let go! Fuck me hard!”

He thrashed against her, the base of his cock straining to
climb inside her with each heavy thrust. He felt every muscle in his body
tense, his balls drawing up tight against him as the flood of blazing hot cum
burst into her, the slick wetness coating his still-jerking cock as he eased
down slowly, then stopped moving, his breath coming in ragged grunts. He nearly
fell over on top of her. Instead he caught himself on his hands, his head
hanging down low over hers, but not enough air in his lungs to stop gasping
long enough to kiss her. He wanted to kiss her so badly.

“That went well. Guess the student can teach the master a
little too.”

“God, Teryn, how do you do that to me?” He heard her giggle
softly, still unable to raise his head enough to look into her eyes.

“All I know is, whatever makes you go crazy for me, I love
that I can make you go even crazier. I love watching you do that, love doing it
to you.”

He slid slowly backward out of her, gently, feeling her
wince slightly and knowing she had to be sore as hell after that. “You okay?”

“Mmm hmm. Hurts a little, not much.”

“My little wildcat, that’s what you are. You never give in,
you know that?”

“I give in to you every damn time, Grant. What the hell are
you talking about?” She laughed again.

He lowered himself next to her, pulling her close, finally
kissing her lips, then closing his eyes and settling himself into the warm,
soft scent of her. “Okay, maybe you give in to me, but you never give up. When
I push, you push back harder.”

“Speaking of pushed…”

“I did work you over pretty good, didn’t I?”

“That was just nothing but crazy.”

“Good crazy?”

“Yeah…good crazy. Not sure I want to do that every day, but
it was good. I learned a lot.”

“You sure as hell did. Jesus, I think you’re going to kill
me one of these days.”

“Did this go how you wanted it to? I mean, did you get what
you wanted?”

“I don’t know, did I?”

“Yes?”

“It wasn’t about me, well, it wasn’t supposed to be. What I
wanted was for you to trust me enough to say you could let me be in charge, to
stop worrying about what I’m going to do next. To let me do anything, even if
it was threatening, but know I’d never hurt you. Well, not much anyway.”

“And I did.”

“True. You did.”

“But you don’t sound like, well…”

“Shhh… I wanted you to experience something you’ve never
done before, and you did. But then, you gave me so much more than that. I
didn’t expect it.” He drew in a deep breath, feeling hesitant. “So, was it what
you
wanted?”

“Yeah. Yeah it was. It was the same for me. So much more than
I expected.”

Her words gave him hope. Maybe, just maybe, he was getting
through to her after all.

Chapter Nineteen

They’d been silent for a few minutes, snuggled together. She
felt his deep, even breathing against her cheek where it rested on his chest,
but she could tell he hadn’t fallen asleep. She decided after what she’d just
given up to him, it wouldn’t kill him to stay awake a little longer and satisfy
some of her curiosity about him.

“Where have you been, Grant?”

He tensed beneath her cheek. “You mean, like, where have I
been all your life?”

“Cute. Now that you mention it…” She giggled into his
shoulder. “No, I meant where all have you been, traveled.”

His muscles relaxed. “Everywhere. Pick one.”

“Okay, where’d you get this excellent tan, to start.”

“New Zealand. Six months there before I came here. Seasons
are opposite from here, so while you were sitting in snow, getting this
beautiful porcelain skin…” He lifted her arm up to his lips, kissing the tender
skin of her inner elbow, licking it lightly. “I was baking, or soaking, more
like it, down under. I saw that Maori patu you have up there.” He pointed to
the carved paddle-like club she had on one wall, mingled in with an odd
collection of other things. “Did you get that in New Zealand?”

“No, wish I did. I’ve always wanted to go there. I had to
get that on eBay. Kind of inspiration for a story I was doing about a Maori
warrior. Know any?”

“Actually, yeah.” He chuckled into her hair. “He’s uh, been
a little bit of inspiration for me too.”

“I was kidding, but as usual, you pop up with something
weird like you always do. Wanna give me some details?”

“Nolo. My best friend. The one I’m doing the race team with,
went to college with. He’s this big, strapping Maori warrior, huge tattoos on
both biceps, half of his face. He’s got the biggest grin you’ve ever seen.
Killer with the ladies, let me tell you. Talks like a Kiwi with a Southern
drawl. It’s kind of funny. Talk about bad boy. He’s actually where I got a
couple of my ideas from for some of the more interesting things I’ve been
trying out on you. When we were in college, I wasn’t really in a position to
get out much. I, well, I just couldn’t let a lot of distractions invade what
was going on at the time. Kind of like I told you before. It was a little like
being in a cage, so at the time I lived vicariously through Nolo. Man, did he
do some crazy shit.”

“So how do you have all this freedom, bouncing around from
job to job, working in a library, they seriously can’t pay you much. How the
heck do you afford running off to New Zealand for six months at a time? If
that’s not too personal.” She was fishing, but she didn’t care if he noticed,
maybe he’d offer some answers she was looking for.

“Nothing you ask me would ever be too personal. Really? After
what I just did to you, you said that?” He chuckled, pulling her closer. “I can
afford it because I don’t really spend money on much, you saw my place, pretty
empty. I spend my time either working, training, or, well, before I met you,
reading mostly if I have any free time. I just work wherever I go to pay my
way, plus when I did have the big corporate job I put quite a bit of money
away. Believe me, I was way overpaid for what I did, the money I had access to
was ridiculous, and to be honest, it really means nothing to me. The money
isn’t important, only what I can do with it, so I use it when I need to. Like,
that hot little black number I had you all trussed up in earlier.”

“Okay, now I feel guilty you spent all that money. You
didn’t have to.”

“Course I didn’t have to. I wanted to. Why would you feel
guilty about it? I don’t.”

“I’m just not used to anyone really doing anything like that
for me.”

“Then you should get used to it. It’s most likely going to
happen again.”

“Already has, hasn’t it?”

“Such as?”

“Climbing shoes, uh, a hundred-twenty-five dollar bottle of
wine.” She sighed. May as well put it all out there. “I saw your Tag Heuer too,
not that I don’t love a man with a really good watch, but…damn.”

“Oh. That.” The tone in his voice was so offhand, as if he
were talking about a pair of socks, trifles. “To be honest, the money doesn’t
mean shit to me, never has. What matters is what I’m doing, who I’m doing it
with, and whatever it costs makes no difference, things are just things.
Unless, it’s a way to give someone you care about something you know they will
enjoy. This is going to sound rude, Teryn, but it’s how I feel, deal with it.
If I want to buy you something, I’m not going to tiptoe around and worry about
it, I’m going to fucking do it if I feel like it.”

That explained an awful lot. It killed any doubts she’d had,
and it felt amazingly good to have a man tell her he’d buy her whatever the
hell he wanted and it was his prerogative. It felt real good, in fact. To avoid
letting it sink in too far, she changed the subject.

“So, tell me more about this Nolo. Did you learn all your
dirty little tricks from him?”

“No, not all of them. I have an imagination too ya know.”

“And a good one.”

“Thank you.” He paused to look down at her, smiling. “No, he
talked a lot about the stuff he did, and yeah, he’s nuts.”

“Sounds like Nolo was trying to get you out of your shell.”

“Yeah, he can be a bit of a nag, but I’d trust him with my
life though. He’s more of a brother to me than my own have been sometimes. Maori
warriors are some of the fiercest on the planet, they start learning when they
are little kids. Everybody talks about the Spartans, but the Maori are almost
the same type of warrior, fierce, standing together, relying on their strength
and putting fear into the hearts of their opponents. “

“I’m kind of picking something up here. Like the way you
talk to people.”

“Yeah, I did get that from him. When I was a kid, I used to
pretty much get run over, my parents always instilled the do as your told, be
seen and not heard kind of thing. I put my energy into sports because that was
the only place I could just be as loud and insane and aggressive as I wanted
and not get in trouble for it. When I got to college, Nolo was my first dorm
mate. Right off, he told me if I didn’t get a spine he was going to kick my ass
every day until I did.”

“Did he kick your ass?”

“Yeah, plenty of times. I got better at it eventually and
managed to kick his a couple though. He’s a big dude. Anyway, yeah, the reason
I’m forward and abrupt a lot is kind of a test. Nolo taught me that anyone who
caves to a few well-placed words isn’t worthy to walk the same path.”

“A warrior philosopher. Makes sense to me. Glad I’m no
shrinking violet.”

“You are not a shrinking anything, sweetheart. Nolo couldn’t
hold a candle to you in the bold department.” He was still holding her arm
against his chest, tickling her wrist with the patch of soft hair between those
broad pecs.

“Tell me about your brothers, you never mentioned them.”

He kissed the palm of her hand, then stretched and yawned,
bringing her hand to his lips again, sliding it lightly over his face, then
bringing it back to rest on his chest. Reminded her of a big black panther,
sexy, dark, sweet, and if you weren’t careful, he might eat you alive. “Hey,
quit distracting me.” She poked him in the ribs.

“I can’t recite my whole life history in one night. I’ll
tell you more tomorrow. For now get some sleep, you need your energy, I’ve got
something planned for this weekend.”

“Uh oh. Does it involve any ropes or little leather straps?”

“Ummm…maybe leather straps. Ropes, definitely. You going to
trust me? If I tell you I’m going to take you somewhere that’s going to push
your limits, make you crazy, and you’re going to love every minute of it, no
matter what it is, will you just say yes if I ask you to?”

She sighed. “Yes.”

“Good. I’m taking you on a mini sprint. You’re going to love
it.”

“Mini sprint?”

“We’re going adventure racing, baby. Now, shut up and go to
sleep, would you?” He chuckled into her neck, kissing her lightly.

She did exactly as she was told.
