Commander, I have made my
decision, I want to stay.”

“
Thank you for seeing my
point of view Kato.” Commander turn around looking back at his
window. “I will notify the doctors to prepare for the operation in
the afternoon, have a nice nap Kato.”

Mission 23 Anna Sing

“
She is staying here!”
Sandra shouts back as Gary told her the news.

“
Yea.” Gary told Sandra. “We
both are not ready to have a child and she thought that this would
be the best choice.”

“
WHY!” When Sandra scream
everyone outside of the hall who was in a 30 meter radius could
hear her.

“
Why not?” Gary
ask.

“
Why not? It’s a child
and...wrong. She chose her own life instead of thinking for her
child, your child!”

“
Sandra, as I told you, we
can’t be parents. So she is getting an abortion and the two of us
are going to try to be a regular couple.”

When Gary explain his and Kato’s reason
she storm out of her room. Mandisa who was also in the room was
about to chase after her when she thought it might be better to let
Sandra vent on her own. “She never had a family you know.” Mandisa
told Gary. Gary only look at Mandisa with a confuse look. “Sandra
was sent to a foster system many times. She went to many different
families. One family tried to rape her, the other torture her, and
she ran away all those times. I am sorry if Sandra was so defensive
about your and Kato’s decision.”

Garu let out a long sigh. “I
understand.” Gary got up and look at Kato in her eye. “Take care of
her.”

Over at the War Room the Council was
having a video chat with Commander. “We have found a girl by the
name Anna Sing. So far she is the only girl who had ever escape a
Sons terrorist camp. We want your best team to go out there and
rescue her.”

“
It will be done” Commander
told the Council as the giant screen turns to black. “Assistant. I
want Mandisa, Katrina, Juan, Sophie, Martine, and Soto in this
mission.”

“
Commander, are you sure you
want to send in a new soldier on such a very important
mission?”

“
Martine is a Captain, I say
he is more than capable for a rescue mission.”

“
Yes Commander.” Before his
assistant was about to leave the assistant ask the Commander one
more question. “Commander, is something not right? You seem to be
day dreaming more than usual.”

“
I’m fine, go and page the
soldiers that I have mission.”

Soto and Prezz were having fun talking
with the new soldier that just came in a day ago. Martine was bus
telling the two of them jokes. “So I said, hey, if God wanted me to
move, then he would not have gave me a comfy ass!” When Juan and
Soto were laughing at the joke all three pagers went off. “Is this
when you guys know you are on a mission?” He ask.

“
Yep.” Juan said with a
sigh. “This is your seconded day here and already you get to go on
a mission, how lucky it is to be you.” Juan says with a smile as he
gave Martine a pat on his back. Come on Captain, I will introduce
you with the rest of the squad when we get into the
hanger.”

Once on the airplane Juan introduce the
group. “You already know Soto and I, over there we have Mandisa.
Normally you have Sandra sitting next to her, but she is still
wounded from her previous mission. Should had seen her, she block
two blow by two sons with swords.”

“
Swords?” Martine ask in
question.

Soto interrupt Juan to explain about
the Sons with the swords. “As a master of Kung-Fu myself, I know
how to work with blades, and the old saying never bring a knife to
a gunfight couldn't be more true. However these Sons are not like
what I have seen in my training. They will run right up to you and
stab you in your heart. There blades are strong enough to cut
through your armor without any resistance.”

Juan explain some more. “These Sons,
they are not like your typical bad guys. They will stop at nothing
to kill you and to make sure they finish their goal.”

“
What’s their goal?” Martine
ask.

Katrina came into the conversation.
“There goal, is to create a better world than the one that we are
living in now. They believe that the world is corrupt and by
killing every political leader, that they could be in
charge.”

“
That, does not make sense.”
Martine explain.

“
It doesn't have to make
since if it works.” The aircraft landed and open up the hatch. “It
seems everytime we fight against the Sons, they are always a step
ahead of us.

Juan moves ahead, found three sons. He
fires at one, kills it. Mandisa rush ahead, found a son, rapid fire
on it, kills it. “Looks like the pathway splits.” Mandisa mention.
“I am going to go left, Soto, and Sophie you are with me. That
means that Martine you are with Prezz and Katrina, you three take
right. We will regroup later.”

The other son try to move, both Soto
and Katrina fire at it, only Katrina hit it with a pistol. The son
poisons Soto. “Fucking hell!” Soto gags. Juan fire at the son,
kills it. “Don’t worry Soto I got your back.” Prezz told
him.

Sophie moves ahead, found two more
sons. Sophie fires at one, kills it. Katrina moves ahead, found two
more Sons, she fires at one with her pistol, hit but not kill.
Mandisa runs ahead, kills the last Son that was on her side. The
son that Katrina hit poisons her, while the other one shot at her
but miss. Juan ran inside a bus, shot and killed the Son that
poison Katrina. Katrina aim with her sniper rifle, shot but was not
able to kill the other Son. Martinez moves forward and killed the
Son that Katrina could not. Sophie moves ahead and spots Anna Sing.
“I found Anna Sing, can’t move in yet.” Sophie told the rest of the
group over headset.

Mandisa moves ahead, found two more
Sons, they move and all of Katrina’s side fire at them, killed one.
Mandisa fire at the other one, kills it. Sophie was able to get to
Anna. Now they have to bring her back. “My name is Sophie Davies I
am going to get you out of here Miss Sing.” Katrina overheard
Sophie say her last name. Davies, she wonder why that name sounds
familiar, then she remember she was on Mission Five with a new
soldier name Harry Davies who was KIA.

Two more sons appear, everyone fire at
one, kills it, Sophie fire at the other one, kills it. “You can
trust me.” Sophie says with a smile as she reach out her arm. Anna
Sing grab her arm and the two of them took off back towards the
aircraft. Another Son appear right in front of the aircraft,
Martine quickly kills it. When everyone made it back to the
aircraft Sophie set Anna Sing on a seat. She was only ten years
old. “So Anna, real quickly, could you tell us how you escape and
how you were able to contact us?”

Juan shook his head no when the girl
did not speak. “She is only ten years old Sophie, and she lives in
Japan. What makes you think that she can speak english?”

“
I use their network.” Anna
told everyone. “I-I saw that they were using a computer to look at
things, so one day when they were not looking I went in and I
started to press lots and lots of buttons. I don’t know what I did
but when they found out, I ran away. I ran through a whole in a
fence that I was creating.”

“
Brave girl.” Sophie said
patting the girl on her head. “When we go over to B.A.S.E, you are
going to meet a new friend there.” Sophie says with a
smile.

When they got Back, Mandisa got
promoted to the highest rank of them all, being a Colonel. Soto
also got promoted and received the nickname Smoky. Everyone was
applauding the two. Even Kato who may have been applauding the
loudest. Gary was right next to her also applauding. “Sandra, where
am I going?” Sara ask as she was being blindfolded and Sandra was
walking her around.

“
Its a surprise Sara.”
Sandra told her with a smile. When Sandra came back to her room
sandra ask Sara a question. “Are you ready for a
surprise?”

“
Yes, but I don’t understand
why you have to blindfold me? I already know we are right in front
of your room Sandra.”

Sandra let out a small sigh of
happiness. “Has Katrina been teaching you advance fight skills
again?”

“
No, Kato has!” Sara said
excited. “I want to learn how to be a ninja and both Kato and Soto
are skill with swords, so I am having them teach me.”

Sandra just chuckle as she took off the
blindfold and open the door. Sara and Anna was staring at each
other, motionless. “H-hi there.” Sara said breaking the
silence.

“
Hi.” Anna said back, to shy
to look at sara in her face.

“
My name is Sara Rosemary.
My home town was being under attack by the Sons, but I was
save.”

“
I was capture by the Sons,
but I escape.” Anna explain.

Sandra just look back and smile. “You
would have love this Estela.” Sandra told herself.

Sophie walk next to Sandra to see how
things are doing. “Are they getting along?” Sophie ask.

“
Two young girls, both going
through traumatizing situations, have no homes, no families? How
could they not? Sara, the girl who was practically live here, is
learning everything she has to learn. Advance fighting skills,
beating scientist at chess, and learning another language. Then
there is Anna. Who is too polite for her age. I think these two
will be the best of friends. Right now thats the one thing they
need the most. Is friends around their own age.

“
To bad Kato had to gave up
her child.” Sandra said nothing, Sophie let out a sigh. “The whole
place knows. It was not going to be a secret for long. Gary
probably told Soto, Soto told Juan, juan has a big mouth. Kato told
you Mandisa and Katrina. I only figure out the clues for myself
when we were on the mission together.”

“
Yea, it’s her choice, not
mine.” Sandra said in a cold tone then walk away.

Gary was in his room when Kato came in
with him. Gary was alone and Kato lock the door to make sure that
no one would get in. Gary let out a warm sigh when he saw Kato.
“It’s going to be a tough life. Everyone is going to think you are
a bad person for staying you know.”

Kato let out a warm smile and walk over
to Gary then wrap her arms around him. “Let them think that,
because the three of us, are going to be just fine.”

“
How did you bribe your way
out of it again?” Gary ask.

Kato just put one finger on Gary’s
mouth and hush him. In a more quiet voice. “A girl never reveals
her secrets.” She told him then giving him a kiss.

Mission 24 Airtime

Nothing happens for a while and while
people sit around B.A.S.E looking for something to do. Everyone was
talking about Gary and Kato, You couldn't see the one without the
other, and while it was nice to see a couple who found love in war,
to other it was a distraction. “Look at those two.” Maxim growls,
as he stands next to Marie. “It’s great that they are in love and
all, but they look so, happy.”

“
Why shouldn't they?” Maire
ask. “In this time of war and death, I think it is great that these
two are able to find happiness together.”

“
Thats the part that worries
me, as soon as one die, the other one is going to be
devastated.”

“
You know what they always
say Maxy, nothing is stronger than love.” Marie told him as she
walk away.

Maxim was a bit speechless by what
Marie said. “Except for bullets, or explosions, or tank, tanks are
kind of strong.”

Over at the War Room the Council was
talking with Commander and giving him the monthly report.
“Commander, we here over at the Council are quite please with your
work. You have been able to keep your soldiers from dying on the
field, and your base has deepline. We look forward to seeing more
great things coming from you Commander.”

Commander gave the Council a nod of
agreement then the screen went to black. “Alright where are we on
the satellites?” Commander ask his assistant.

“
They are ready to launch
Commander.”

“
Good launch one satellite
over by Canada, the other one by Japan. We have been getting
reports of more Sons may be in those places.”

“
Commander!” Shouts another
person inside the War Room. “Report indicates of the Sons heading
into our airspace.”

“
Send in one our of
fighters, no one attack it unless I say so.” One of the fighters
took to the sky in pursuit of the unknown flying aircraft. When the
fighter was within radio contact Commander spoke. “Attention
unknown flying aircraft. You are in a no fly zone, please state
your business or you will be shot down.” The ufo never answer and
instead took off. “We got a runner, after him now!” Commander
demanded but the UFO got away. When the fighter came back, the same
UFO came back on radar.

“
Commander, its
back.”

“
I want another jet after it
this time shoot it down, do not hold back.” The seconded fighter
flew but the same thing happen. The UFO escape. “It appears the
Sons are turning this into an air war. However our hanger is not
quite ready for these planes yet.” Commander told himself then he
look at his assistant. “I want to know just how fast I can get a
new airplane that can keep up with the ones that we escape from
us.” The assistant nodded her head and rush over to talk to the
scientists.”What are you planning?” Commander ask
himself.
