“Hard, huh?” He undid the button of my jeans, followed by my zipper. Slowly, he peeled my jeans down my legs and I stepped out of them. He stood to full height and very expertly, ripped my panties off. “I think…” he lifted and pushed me against the wall, “I can manage that.”

In an instant, his jeans were down and his huge cock exposed, firm and fully erect against his lower stomach. He slammed into me—hard. “Fuck,” he hissed. “You feel so good.”

I wrapped my hands around the nape of his neck and dug my fingers into his hair. His lips were back on mine in an instant and I responded by sucking his tongue into my mouth. He flexed his hips and a ripple of sensation rocked my body, causing a moan to burst through. I reveled in the feel of his defined chest against my breasts, and my nipples hardened to points.

His rhythm was relentless and demanding, yet blissful. I never wanted it to end, but found myself gripping his hair and crying out in pleasure. He picked up his pace, pounding me over and over as my head lulled back to the wall. I was completely and utterly shattered.

“Baby. Fuck,” he grunted, pouring himself inside me. We stood there for several minutes, breathing each other in. My elation couldn’t be contained—I thought we were over, but instead, he’d fucked me against a wall.

“What are you grinning about?” Javier asked, pulling back to look at me.

“Nothing.” I arched an eyebrow. “I told you I’d have a bangin’ night.”

He threw his head back and laughed, then walked us to the bed. “You are something else.”

“Maybe.” He put me down and we both lay beside each other. I turned on my side to take him in—dark skin, defined abs and chest, and a face to die for. The only thing better was the
V
leading to his very impressive package. “I need a picture of this.”

“What?”

“You. Laying here naked and sexy as hell. I’d be able to orgasm by just looking at the picture.”

“Is that so?” He rolled to lay on top of me. “I’d rather make you orgasm, not let my picture do it.”

“Me, too.” I pursed my lips for a kiss, and he complied. “Hey, remind me to give you a key. That way you won’t have to wait in the hallway for me to answer.”

“Okay.” He looked puzzled.

“Because you’re crazy and I had to introduce you to Stephen as my professor, I think it would be for the best.”

“What does he have to do with me being in your hallway?”

“He’s my next door neighbor. He could see you.”

His face turned stoic. “Oh, I see.”

“Nothing to worry about. I don’t want him. I want you.” I brushed his soft hair away from his forehead, hoping to soften his anger.

“Then I guess I need a key. I probably shouldn’t drive over here either.”

“Yeah. I guess that is kinda risky.” I bit my lip, and asked, “What will we do? Should I pick you up?”

“No. I’ll just take the beach at night. I’ll leave some running shorts here and I’ll run home in the morning. Two birds, one stone.”

“Two birds, one stone? Really?”

“Yep.” He leaned down and nipped my ear. “Now, roll over so I can fuck you and spank that ass.”

Chapter 12

A month had gone by since Javier and I began seeing each other. He slept over as many nights as he could, and left early in the morning after our run. The only bad part was we still ran separately to avoid the risk of being caught. We did, however, have a meeting spot located in some trees off the beach for the mornings he hadn’t stayed.

He was trying to give me a real relationship—one where I didn’t worry about not calling or needing him. He’d told me to call him first and he’d try to be there, if he couldn’t, we would work something out. He had stressed the “we” part.

I walked into the coffee shop one Friday after my last class and sat down next to Lane. “Hey, stranger.”

He glanced up from his laptop. “Hey, Alex. What time do your parents get into town?”

“Around six.” I shrugged. “I’m going to order an iced latte. Want anything?”

“Nah, I’m good.”

I nodded and stood in the long line as my phone buzzed in my pocket.

Javier: Text me when your parents leave for the hotel. And be ready.

I smiled, loving how much he loved spending time with me.

Me: I will. :)

Our plan was for him to still spend time at my apartment after my parents crashed at a hotel and be gone early the next morning before they came back.

After ordering my latte, I sat down next to Lane once again. He had put his laptop away and was looking at his phone, smiling. “Who’s making you grin?” I questioned, hoping he’d say Courtney.

“A girl I met in class.” He still had a small smile playing on his lips, and I wanted to be happy for him, especially after what happened with Beth, but I wanted to see Courtney happy, too.

“Don’t be all secretive. What’s her name?”

He bit his lip for a moment, then replied, “Amy.”

My eyes rounded and I wanted to puke. Amy. Why the hell did he have to have the hots for a girl with the same name as my boyfriend’s wife?
Is he my boyfriend?
Can he really be my boyfriend if he has a wife? Maybe he’s just a lover.
I didn’t know, but that thought combined with her name, made me feel sick.

“Hey, are you okay? Are you getting sick again? You look a little green.” Lane’s eyes were a mask of concern.

I shook my head at my awful thoughts. “Yeah.” I cleared my throat. “Yeah. I just felt queasy for a second. I’m fine now.”

He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. “Your poor parents, you are the biggest baby when you get sick. Of all weekends for them to show up.”

I laughed a little at his playfulness. “You’re not supposed to be a dick to the sick.”

“Look at you rhyming.” I giggled a little at his lame attempt at humor. This was why I loved Lane. He was goofy and sweet. He was also really attractive, but that had never mattered to me. I always found how girls fawned over him amusing.

I glanced around the room and my gaze landed on a pair of beautiful blue eyes. And they were livid. Javier was standing in the front of the line glaring at me in a way that told me he was jealous of Lane. I licked my lips as I took in exactly how sexy jealousy looked on him. As my gaze swept over his black dress shirt, charcoal tie, and perfectly fitted pants, a thrill shot through me knowing he was mine. Or…sort of mine. Fuck, I hated our situation.

I pulled back from Lane as Javier’s eyes narrowed and his jaw ticked with suppressed anger. “You are such a dork,” I said to Lane, ignoring Javier.

“I know, but that’s why you love me.”

“Yep,” I replied as Lane’s head turned, acknowledging someone standing in front of us.

“Professor Rodriguez,” Lane said, “taking a coffee break?”

“Mr. Adams, Ms. Wilson. Nice to see both of you. Yes, I was in desperate need of a coffee break. Numbers and all that.”

I nodded, but didn’t say anything. I didn’t know what to say. I was afraid if I opened my mouth, I’d say something like, “Your ass looks amazing in those pants.”

“I bet,” Lane replied. “I lived off coffee when I was taking your class.”

“It wasn’t that bad, was it? Ms. Wilson, surely you don’t think my class is that bad, do you?”

I shook my head as my throat became dry. Why in the hell did he want to talk to me and my friend? Was he that jealous of me spending time alone with another guy? After taking a sip of my iced latte, I said, “It’s not my favorite class. A little boring.”

“Boring, huh?” His lips curled up on one side and I knew,
knew,
he was going to be an ass. “Hmm, I bet I could give you some
harder
assignments,” he suggested in more ways than one, causing me to almost spit my drink out. “That definitely wouldn’t be boring.”

I glanced in Lane’s direction, and thankfully, he was completely oblivious. “I don’t think I’m up to that challenge. I barely understand things now. You add on harder assignments, I’ll crash and burn.”

He laughed, and it completely turned me on. “I’ll definitely have to think about this.” He glanced at his watch. “Well, I better get going. Nice talking to the two of you.”

I nodded as Lane told Javier goodbye. “See?” Lane said after Javier walked away. “He isn’t that bad.”

“I guess not. I still hate his class.” I wasn’t lying. Sleeping with the professor hadn’t made calculus any easier for me. A minute later, my phone buzzed.

Javier: Go behind the coffee shop, take a left, and walk one block over. NOW.

What the hell?

“I better get going. Make sure my apartment is up to my mom’s clean standards,” I told Lane, grabbing my bag.

“Your apartment is always clean,” he said as I stood and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Tell your parents hello from me if I don’t get a chance to see them before they leave.”

“I will.”

Hitching my bag over my shoulder, I walked out of the coffee shop and toward the back. With each step, I got a little angrier with Javier. One would think I would be allowed to have male friends if he was allowed to have a freaking
wife.

I turned left down the alley, my anger still rising, but I was also getting more and more turned on. Javier looked sexy as hell when he was pissed off.

As I stepped in front of his sleek, charcoal grey BMW sedan, the door opened. He looked so edible as he rose from the car in one swift motion. He stalked toward me and pushed me back against the hood as his mouth claimed mine. The kiss was rough, raw, pure anger. “I better not ever find you in another man’s arms again. This makes twice.”

I pushed at his chest. “
Twice?
Says the man who leaves me every morning for his wife.” I knew it was a low blow, but his jealousy was pissing me off. He had no right to tell me what I could or could not do. Who I could or could not touch.

“Damn you, Alexandria.” His lips possessed mine once more as his hands moved down to the hem of my t-shirt and pulled it over my head. “I’m going to fuck your tight cunt and show you exactly who you belong to. Exactly who
I
belong to.”

Reaching between us, he unbuttoned my jeans and ripped them down my legs along with my panties. My body fell back with the force of his movement and he jerked my legs up. With my ass hanging off the hood, he unbuttoned his own pants and thrust into me with a groan.

My body quivered with each pump of his cock, and my anger melted into something else. I knew I wasn’t in love with him, but it was definitely more than lust. Or maybe I was in love with him, because looking into his dark blue eyes, I knew I could never want another man this much.

He gathered me closer to him, kissing my mouth in rhythm with his cock. I kissed him back and bit down on his lip, letting him know he wasn’t the only one fucking out their anger.

Dragging his mouth from mine, he kissed down my neck and took one hard nipple into his mouth through my bra. I cried out as he bit down, and my orgasm racked through my body. I let go of the hood and wrapped my arms around his neck, needing to be closer to him.

With one final push, he came inside me. His head fell to my shoulder as we both panted, trying to even our breathing. He kissed my cheek and pulled out of me, groaning. “I don’t think I’ll ever fuck you enough.”

“I love it when you talk sweet to me,” I teased.

He smiled and pulled me to stand. Once I was upright, he cupped my face and placed a gentle kiss to my lips. “You wouldn’t like it any other way.”

I grabbed the lapels of his shirt and closed my eyes, breathing him in. “I hate this. I hate that I can’t tell my friends about you. My parents. I hate even more that I have to share you.”

“Look at me,” he said, waiting for me to open my eyes. “You don’t share me with anyone besides Caroline. She is the only person keeping me in that house.” He brushed my hair back. “I’ll be waiting for your text, and I’ll be there as soon as I can. I want you sleeping in my arms tonight.”

I nodded. “Okay.”

“Now, you want to tell me why I saw you in the arms of another man?”

I rolled my eyes. “Lane has been my best friend for years. Nothing for you to be jealous of there.”

He nodded. “Okay. I’ll try to check my jealousy where he is concerned, not the neighbor, though,” he promised. “But you looked upset. What was wrong?”

I closed my eyes, remembering the name of Lane’s new…friend. “It was nothing.”

“Tell me.”

“No,” I asserted. “It’ll just cause us to fight, or you to feel bad. I’m good now.”

His eyes narrowed.

“I promise. Just kiss me. That makes everything right in the world.”

He pulled me closer, saying, “I can do that.” Then, he kissed me.

***

After he thoroughly kissed me, I told him goodbye and walked the few blocks home. I felt better after seeing him, knowing he wanted me as much as I wanted him.

At times, I could almost forget he had a wife. We spent most nights together, just as any “normal” couple would. He had even taken me on a few dates; although we had driven over an hour away. I didn’t even think of Amy when he was talking about Caroline. It was easy to think of him as a single dad. The only time I really remembered his wife was when he was leaving me to go home. And that was when the guilt weighed in. It might not seem like I felt guilty, but I did. It was just that Javier had a certain power over me that made me forget.

I pushed thoughts of his wife away and got ready for dinner with my parents. I didn’t get to see them often, so I didn’t want my wandering thoughts to ruin their visit.

As I was putting my eyeliner back in my cosmetic bag, the doorbell rang. I was so excited to see my parents, I almost skipped to the door. I flung it open and was met with the sight of my smiling mom and dad.

“Hey, sweetheart,” my dad greeted as he wrapped me in a hug.

“Hi, Daddy.” I let go of him to hug my mom. “Hi. Where is Rebecca?” I asked, referring to my little sister.

“Alex,” she said before we stepped inside the apartment, “Rebecca’s sleeping over with one of her friends. She said she’d call you and set up a time for just her to come. I guess she doesn’t think we are very fun.”

I laughed at my mom’s pretend scowl. “Go sit down,” I instructed. “I made some sweet tea.”
