Alex need
ed no further encouragement
.
Charley was
t
he answer to
his
happiness, e
verything he could ever want or need in life
.
He marched to the bed, and
Charley squealed in delight as he
tossed her onto the mattress
.

Sprawled across the coverlet she grinned up at him
like a cat with warm cream
and crawled to her knees
.
Kneeling on the
mattress
, she plucked open the knot of her white, flowing wrapper,
allowing the silk to
slip
seductively
from her body
.

Utterly starved, Alex growled in carnal delight, drinking in the luscious sight before him
.
Pale green gauze sheathe
d Charley’s siren frame, and her
full
,
round breasts
rose up, giving him a glimpse of the
succulent
pink
buds hidden behind
the
film curtain
.
“What are you wearing?”

“Your Christmas present.

She
tilted her head back, lids at a seductive half-mast, and pegged him with a ‘come hither’ stare
.
“Don’t pretend you don’t like it,” she purred, reaching back to pull the luminous length
of her red hair across one
shoulde
r
.
T
he movement only served to tighten the gossamer across her protruding breasts.

Oh, he more than liked it
.
It was his undoing.

With a guttural
sound he lunged forward onto the bed, gathering her up in his arms,
Alex bore
her to the mattress beneath him
.
Their lips locked in a fierce, passionate kiss of
mating
desire
.
This was where he belonged… want
ed to be
.
“I need you, Charley
.
I love you.

He shifted over her, reaching for the hem of her negligee
.

“No.

She grasped his hand, stilling his attempts to undress her
.

He groaned
.

Do not torment me, Charley.

He rolled
to his side.

She rose up above him, pushing him onto his back
, and mounting him, slender legs nestled on either side of his hips
.
She grinned seductively
.
“T
he other part of my gift is that t
onight… I make love to you.

Her
expression softened, changed… grew
vulnerable
.
“I
never
want you to
regret choosing me over your
career
, Alex.

Her lower lip quivered
and her palms
settled innocently against his chest
.

He took her wrist, sliding her palm until it rested over his
heart
.
“Do you feel this?”

Slowly she nodded
, huge green eyes delving into
his with such
loving uncertainty his heart ached
.

It
beats for you
.
Only you
.
You are my guiding light, Charley.

He grasped the back of her neck and
leaned
up,
kissing her softly
.

My light to Valhalla.”
