Chapter Seven

Jay set his cup down on the beautiful mosaic tiled table they occupied. “So tell me about this Ice Palace theme? Am I going to want to visit that particular floor?”

“You’ll totally want to visit. Hell, I believe you’ll want to take up residence there.”

Landon explained that the spot was endless white—white walls, white tiled floors and one-way glass. Secrets were safe within; even with all the lights on in the darkness of night, no one could see inside from the street.

Mirrored pillars topped with marble and crystal sculptures reflected light in a mix of rainbow-prism arcs and edges. Muted brilliance filled the room until you swore you were inside a sparkling masterpiece of ice, minus the bone-chilling cold.

Like all of the other themed floors, the Ice Palace had several stations with spanking benches and massage tables. The private areas appeared to be wide open but could be closed off with shoji screens. Some had sliding glass doors embedded in the walls so that when they were open, it looked like there’s no way to have any privacy. But there were doors that slid closed, with luxurious drapes that could be drawn closed.

Pretty classy.

“It’s like tooling through a crystal palace in a science fiction movie, minus any scaly green women”.

Glad that Jay had taken the lead in breaking the ice, Landon was ready to get down to business.

“When MacKenzie left, she was wearing her ‘I’m worried but I’m not going to say I’m worried’ face.” Landon forked up a bite of chocolate decadence.

“Ah, I see. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that look. But it would make sense why not. Anytime we were together she was in complete control. Always exuded that crackling Dom energy. Fucking brought me to my knees.”

Landon looked thoughtfully at the man sitting across from him. Sure, he’d spent time with Jay back in the day, but it was usually a polite dinner with friends or a social event. The other man used to belong to Mac, so Landon had always kept his distance to allow his wife to handle that relationship as she saw fit.

That, however, had changed.

“So Mac talked to you about what we’re proposing, yes?”

“Yes, she did. We didn’t discuss the details, but I assume that’s about to happen right now.”

“You’d be right. You were Mac’s, but Mac is mine. So I’m acting as her protector. You and I will come to an agreement, and Mac will be informed of what that agreement will be.”

Jay cocked his head, confusion clouding his expression.

Guess I need to be clearer.

“I am Mac’s dominant. Before, what went on between the two of you was always shared with me. I just kept out of it because it was her thing. This is no longer
her
thing. It’s
our
thing. And any of
our
business will have my hand in it in some way.”

The
“Ah, I see”
expression on Jay’s handsome face showed no hesitance or concern. On the contrary, the man seemed to really get it. To Landon’s surprise, it was a huge relief to have no hard feelings right off the bat. After all, this whole arrangement would depend on Jay’s consent. No consent meant no triad.

He let his words sink in, then continued. “She loves you, Jay.”

“Excuse me?”

Landon almost laughed at the completely gob smacked expression on his guest’s face at hearing the extent of Mac’s feelings. Obviously the woman had been remiss in telling Jay exactly where he rated with her. Landon would have to make sure Mac remedied that particular situation.

“I’m not such a selfish dick that I would keep something like this from you. Consider this, Jay. I didn’t even love Yazmin, yet I let her take from me the most important thing I had between me and my wife—my integrity, my honor. It won’t happen again. So I have to be honest, even if I’m not thrilled about the topic. Mac does indeed love you, man. Heart and soul.”

“I love her right back. But as I told her, I love her enough to back the hell up if that’s what’s needed for her to be happy.”

“I think you would make her happy.”

“I don’t follow.”

“You can give her something that I can’t.” Landon paused and let the words sink in. After a few moments, he put Jay out of his curiosity-induced misery. “Your submission. And what I’m about to say next, I haven’t even shared with Mac. But if she wants it, I will go along with opening up our marriage to you, and only you. That includes sex.”

Jay’s jaw dropped before he fell into a fit of coughing.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to make you inhale your tea. Need another cup?”

Jay shook his head vigorously and tried to catch his breath between juicy-sounding hacks. Man damn near drowned himself in jasmine green. “Holy shit, Landon. I...just give me a minute.”

“I have no intention of dominating you, Jay, but there will be times when I’m in charge. You’ll be Mac’s and mine. You’ll have our protection and anything you need from us. But when it comes to a D/s dynamic, you’re primarily hers.”

“But how would that work if we’re all together?”

“Let’s just let it flow. I’m her Dom, she’s your Dom. Just let it play out.

“And what about you, Landon?”

“I don’t consider myself bisexual, if that’s what you’re asking. But I’m comfortable enough in my skin that if we’re both with Mac, and we end up touching each other, I’m not going to freak out.”

“No matter, Mac is always the focus for me.”

“Good, as she’s my focus as well. But understand one thing, if you hurt her, I will skin your ass, tie you up and hoist you up in one of the foyers of Twilight Teahouse. And yes, Madison Lee will allow it.”

“Holy shit.”

“Holy shit? Yeah, I’d like to think so.”  Landon flashed his most evil grin. If he’d been a vampire or something, he was sure he’d be flashing fang right now. Because when it came to Mac and pain, he’d be damn sure to exact retribution. No holds bar. “But before we get that far, we need to negotiate limits and such. If you’re interested, that is.”

“I’m interested. Totally and absolutely. As for limits, I don’t have any new ones since, you know…before. They’re all in writing. I’d be fine with just using those with the understanding that I may want to revisit them every now and again.”

“Thank god,” Landon mumbled, grateful for no complications on either end. “We just need to make sure that Mac is fine with sex, and I can’t imagine she’d have any issue.”

Relief flowed over both their faces followed by deep breaths, almost in tandem, as one of the staff dropped off a warm flask of sake, and they continued. Jay’s hard limits were already negotiated in writing. To Landon’s surprise and utter delight, the man had even suggested doing some counseling together to ensure their triad was functional rather than dysfunctional.

With that done, they raised a small cup and toasted to Mac with a quiet but lusty,
“Kanpai!”

Landon’s gaze remained glued to Jay’s handsome face—yes, he could admit the man was good looking—keenly aware of the emotions that washed through the other man. If he was reading him correctly, Landon needed to get this deal done for Jay’s peace of mind. If his shell-shocked-but-happy-yet-anxious expression was any indication, he was waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Thankfully, there was no shoe.

“Now,” Landon said as he stood. “Let’s go get our woman.” He extended his hand to their new ‘third’, shook it firmly and watched Jay smile,
truly
smile, for the first time tonight.

* * *

At the appointed time, Mac sat in the Bamboo Room alone. She literally twiddled her thumbs while tapping the toe of a high-heeled boot with an annoyed cadence. Funny thing was…she wasn’t annoyed. She was nervous.

It was a giddy kind of feeling rather than one of concern. She knew that Jay would accept their offer. Knew it down to her toes. But it didn’t change the fact that this was something new, fantastic and wonderful.

It was like a kid waiting to open presents at Christmas. A kid who kept checking the clock to see if it was time to get up yet so she could rush downstairs and start ripping open the various goodies awaiting her.

And this room contained zilch to keep her mind occupied as she waited for her two pieces of yum to arrive. There was absolutely nothing in here but a huge beanbag-like chair literally big enough for five people. The floor and walls were finely pressed bamboo, and the door was made of hundreds of super-thin bamboo reeds lashed together. Hence the name, the Bamboo Room.

Eyes closed, she imagined Landon and Jay standing before her, both tall, dark and handsome. Both with green eyes that seemed to peer right through her, body and soul. Where Landon’s upper body was wide and muscular, Jay’s was sleek with a runner’s build. Both had hair, black as sin and both had eyes of jade and emerald. And both loved her to no end.

And Mac was a trembling mess by the time her men joined her.

She looked up and saw both of them had hands extended to help her up off the oversized oval beanbag sac that could serve as a couch or a bed.

She stood and accepted a small cup of sake as Landon explained.

“We’ve had a thorough conversation about how we think this will work. And in celebration of Jay joining our little posse, we brought you a bit o’ sake to toast with.

Mac just stood there, looking back and forth between them.

When she didn’t take the little ceramic cup, Landon looked down at the sake in his hand and back at his wife’s face.

“Mac, you okay with this?”

“I…” She reached out and retrieved the little porcelain cup with the potent clear brew from his hands. “Yes. I’m okay with it. I’m just…overwhelmed.”

Jay’s face tightened.

“It’s a good thing, both of you. I’m not overwhelmed like I want to run away from home or something. I’m just…I never thought this would play out this way. And I’m happy as shit.”

One of her men smiled as if he expected nothing less. The other sighed with relief, then burst out laughing as if he were the happiest man on Earth. Which made her even giddier.

“Toast?” Landon asked.

“Absolutely,” Mac replied and raised her glass and waited for Landon to pour a bit for himself and Jay.

All three cheered, “Kanpai!” and downed their sake in one swift shot.

“And now, to truly celebrate, I think a bit of naughty is in order. No holds barred, Mac. No limits on affection.”

Her eyes widened and her mouth fell open. Sure the two of them had discussed the “all in” solution he felt would serve them all best. But again, she’d never hoped for such a thing. Letting Jay go had been a difficult, but necessary, choice. He’d been nothing but good to her, understanding, caring. Oh, the man was just as alpha as Landon, but his needs were different, more subtle. He could be a real handful, but it had always been a challenge that she’d savored and cherished. She’d been satisfied with their previous arrangement because it was best at the time.

But now that Jay was here and back in her life, their lives, losing him wasn’t something she wanted to experience again.

However, there was more to this than what she wanted. She wasn’t a one-some. She was part of a couple-turning-triad. So, it was her turn to ask Landon if he was sure just one more time.

Her husband’s answer was to step to her without hesitation and pull her into his arms. “Woman, I am in this for the win. And to be honest, you could do worse than having two men who love you more than all the world.”

With that, he lowered his head and kissed her silly. Not giving her a chance to do anything but feel, Landon began and held the power of that kiss even as he began to set up what would follow.

It began with a simple order to Jay to remove her boots as Landon continued to hold her tight, plunder her mouth and taste her deeply. He kissed her until she was almost out of breath. When he released her, she had no time to pant as he took her mouth again, and again.

Feet bare, she giggled as Jay massaged her toes. Her chuckle became a moan as he moved his fingers into her arch and pressed gently before applying the same delicious pressure from calves to thighs to the under-curve of her backside.

Jay’s touch was familiar and comfortable, like her favorite pair of slippers or the silk robe she always wore around the house—soft and comfortable.

But not enough.

Between the kisses and touches, and the realization that these two men were both hers, Mac was soon flying towards a need so great it made her scalp tingle.

She threw her head back and cried out when Landon’s teeth nipped the tendon that connected neck to shoulder.

“More! Please!”

“Well, Jay,” Landon growled with that little touch of evil that always raised the hairs on the back of her neck. “You heard the lady. More.”

Clothes went flying until they painted the room in a myriad of fabrics and colors. Shoes thudded as they were kicked off, and even a few rips were heard here and there.

Yes!

She was wet and ready and so eager she was almost angry with it. Her world was on fire and these were the two men who could see to putting that damn thing out!
