Bailey made a soothing noise and Mortician rubbed a tired hand over his brow.

And Christopher had seen enough. He’d felt fucking
sympathy
for another motherfucker, somebody that wasn’t his girl. He’d gotten madder than a motherfucker, too, and felt like the biggest pussy alive.

So he’d told Riley to double his efforts to find Digger. He wanted his blood, just to show he didn’t give a fuck about the feelings of another motherfucker.

An hour ago, Riley had given him the word. Digger was back in the area. Christopher had come home to tell Megan he had a run to make.

Instead, he walked in on that cunt and her craziness.

He was fucked up enough without Kendall screaming in his and Megan’s fucking house she’d wanted dick from him. Fuck, if Megan had heard that…

Tense, Christopher removed his boots, climbed beside her and took her into his arms. He knew the exact moment she awakened, because she tensed up, before relaxing again and drawing closer to him.

“Hey,” she said softly.

He turned on his side and faced her. For a moment, they just stared at one another. “You still a lil’ mad motherfucker over the fuckin’ company?”

“I talked to Brooks,” she said, instead of answering his question.

“Yeah?”

“I had an idea that…what about if we make the company an LLC with DBAs? We could have one for home health care and the other as…I don’t know-”

“So you want one limited liability corporation with two separate doing-business-as certifications?”

“Yes. And we could get the one to launder the money up and running first.”

He scowled at her, not wanting her to discuss illegal shit like it was second nature to her. She was above all that. The only reason he’d told her what he’d intended was because he kept very few things from her. He’d learned his fucking lesson with Big Joe’s grave. Johnnie’s bitch’s antics, was one thing she didn’t know about. Nor did she know he knew about what happened at the raid, and the fact that the deputy was now buzzard food, alongside Gilson, the funeral director, who’d blabbed about her father’s body. Or lack thereof.

She frowned at him, and he realized she’d fallen silent. “What happened?” she asked suspiciously.

“What the fuck you mean, baby?”

“You look, um…”

Pissed like a motherfucker
.

She sat up, to better study him. “What’s wrong, Christopher?”

Sighing, he lay on his back and stared at the ceiling. This was a primary fucking reason he stayed the fuck away for several hours, if he had to fuck-up a stupid motherfucker. Megan read the fuck out of him.

Fuck
.

“You get that bitch’s shower shit together?” He’d test the waters and play it by ear. At the moment, he was sorry as fuck he hadn’t killed Kendall, when she’d walked the fuck away all those months ago.

“Yes,” she chirped, her little sniff telling Christopher she was angry.

“What the fuck happened with
you
?”

“Kendall can be so frustrating. I ended up telling her to fuck off, which made me angrier.”

“What the fuck that cu-”

“She just jumps to so many conclusions,” Megan huffed. “I was feeling bad for questioning her about the two of you in Hawaii and-”

“You did fuckin’ what?”

Megan sighed, and her shoulders slumped. “I don’t…she came here a couple of days before the dinner and I thought it was for us to catch up. Instead, it was about how we have nothing in common and how we’ll never be friends.”

“Wait a fuckin’ minute. That bitch told you that bull-fuckin-shit and you still plannin’ a fuckin’ shower for her?”

“We have to get along,” Megan grouched. “It’s just better that way. Her attitude disappointed me, and I…I mean, the thing she’d wanted forever, Johnnie to marry her…I
saw
her looking at you before she just decided not to marry Johnnie.” She lay back down and covered her eyes. “I’m just tired,” she whispered. “Carrying two babies is really hard. Having absolutely nothing to do is driving me insane.”

“What the fuck you think happened?” he asked slowly.

She blinked at the ceiling. Although her eyes were watery, she didn’t cry. She shrugged.

‘You think we fucked?” he asked incredulously, too shocked to do or say anything else.

She flinched, and closed her eyes. “Something happened,” she insisted.

He sure the fuck had never given her that fucking impression, because he sure the fuck had never felt that fucking way.

One thing he’d always credited his girl for was her ability to figure shit out. It was one of many things he’d always adored and admired about her. But she was so vulnerable right now. She wanted to know. No, her instinct had already allowed her to know, but she also wanted shit to work out, to keep the bullshit down to a minimum. However, this clearly fell under the
having no choice
category. If he denied it, it would be a flat-out fucking lie. He might omit shit, but he didn’t fucking lie to her.

“Fuck, Megan. Yeah, that bitch offered me pussy. Just cuz she a psycho and fuckin’ thought she’d get Johnnie attention that fuckin’ way.”

Anger and hurt darkened Megan’s eyes. As soon as he finished here, he was throwing Johnnie
and
Kendall off the property. He didn’t have to be fucking told that Roxanne thought she could talk to Johnnie’s bitch, then change Christopher’s mind. No fucking way.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Megan asked in a small voice.

“Cuz of them two lil’ motherfuckers in you. I didn’t want to stress you the fuck out.”

“What did she say?” she sniffled, her voice filled with so much pain Christopher clenched his hands to keep himself still.

“It wasn’t what the fuck she said, baby. It was what the fuck she did. How the fuck she looked at me. I’ve had e-fuckin-nuff bitches wantin’ me in their pussy to know how the fuck a bitch look and act.”

“What did you say?”

“What the fuck you think I told that crazy bitch?”

Her chin wobbled. “That you’d never touch her.”

She said it with the same unwavering belief in him that she always showed him. “C’mere, baby,” he said gruffly, tugging her closer. “I sure the fuck did.”

“I’m so angry with her.”

“Yeah, well, shit better this way. I’m glad you know. Whatcha want me to fuckin’ do? If you too hurt, I can always blow her the fuck away.”

Outrage dropped into her face. “She’s pregnant.”

“I can fuckin’ wait ‘til she have the baby if you want.”

Christopher
!”

“Yeah, baby?”

“You can’t kill Kendall.”

“I almost did. I found out where the fuck she was not long after she fuckin’ left.” He tightened his hold on her. “Megan, fuck. I couldn’t do that shit to you, though.”

She shuddered against him, and Christopher’s dick stood at attention. Now that all the bullshit was behind him, he didn’t have to worry about Megan finding shit out and getting hurt. It was out in the open.

He bit her neck, and skimmed his hand down her body, to the loose fitting dress she wore. She was twenty-six weeks along, and he worried about sticking his dick in her. She was seeing her doctor weekly and had been placed on bed rest as a precaution.

The next time they went to her appointment, Christopher intended to ask about it, because he read shit online, just to appease his fears. All the fuck it did was fuck with him more.

But Megan was happy, and she swore their lovemaking didn’t risk her…Pausing in his exploration of her body, he frowned.

“What?”

“I just thought about us fuckin’ and called it love makin’ in my head. That’s some sappy fuckin’ shit.”

She ran her fingers along his jaw, and smiled at him, but pulled away. “I was thinking, too,” she admitted quietly.

He didn’t respond, just waited patiently for her to continue.

“I have to work through my feelings for Kendall, but let it go, Christopher. I’m so furious with her, I want to scratch her eyes out and yank each tooth out of her gums with tweezers.”

“Fuck, baby. I might have to use that shit one day. You turnin’ into a blood thirsty lil’ motherfucker. Don’t get too used to that shit. I spill the blood. You keep me the fuck in line. You ain’t no hard bitch.”

She glared at him. “
Anyway
, I know you’ve missed Johnnie, and you’ve enjoyed having
him
back since Kendall returned. Taking any retaliation against her would cause an irreparable divide.”

“Megan-”

“No, listen, Christopher. I don’t think she only wanted to sleep with you to get to Johnnie. I think she wanted to sleep with you because she’s attracted to you.” She half growled and half sobbed. “Bitch,” she mumbled.

Christopher smirked at her, and she blushed.

She huffed out a breath. “Just let us work through this. Okay?”

“No. I don’t want you arguin’.”

“You and I have been arguing for two days.”

“Yeah, baby,” he sighed. “I shouldna been puttin’ you through this shit. I fuckin’ wish we coulda put off signin’ shit.”

“I need something to do,” she grumbled.

“Which you coulda fuckin’ done without the fuckin’ company bein’ fuckin’ formed.”

“Zoann has a couple of clients lined up. We needed the legalities behind us.”

“Yeah, what the fuck ever. The shit gonna be done in a couple days.”

“The way I want it done, right?”

“Fuck, Megan, yeah.”

“And you’re not going to do anything to Kendall?”

“No fuckin’ more than what the fuck I already done to that bitch,” he snapped, and explained the scene from downstairs.

He detested the disappointment in her eyes.

“Fuck, I didn’t fuckin’ do it, baby.”

“If Roxy hadn’t been there-”

“I didn’t attack that bitch unpro-fuckin-voked. She was runnin’ off at the fuckin’ mouth. If she woulda shut the fuck up, I wouldna came within an inch of stranglin’ her motherfuckin’ ass.”

She took his face between his hands and kissed his lips. “You can’t kill everyone who hurts me.”

“The fuck I can’t. You hurt? They dead.
They
bein’ whoever the fuck, fuckin’ with you.”

“What am I going to do with you?”

“Love me. Fuck me. Suck me. Ride my tongue.”

“Psycho,” she giggled.

“Brat,” he shot back.

“I love you.”

“I love the fuck outta you too, baby.”

She gripped his cock. “Make love to me now.”

“Makin’ love come later. Let’s get the fuckin’ done first.”

Dear Diary,

I was released from the program two weeks ago. Brooks picked me up and brought me directly to his house. Charlotte was waiting for me in their guest house, and told me I could stay there as long as necessary.

It’s a charming place, with a living area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The perfect size for me. She gave me free rein to decorate it however I’d like to do so. But I don’t anticipate staying very long, so the pastel colors are just fine.

I don’t have many possessions. The clothes that I took with me from the club no longer fit me. As it was, the extensive wardrobe I once had had been reduced by three-fourths once Spoon kidnapped me. It isn’t about the clothes, anymore,
but
Brooks and Charlotte suggested I return to work. Thus, I now have two pants suits, along with just enough clothes for one week.

I’ll do it. I want to concentrate on my baby and its father. However, the baby will need clothes and diapers and all types of things infants are in need of.

I’m so happy to be done with Dr. Stanton. The man was an awful jerk.

I’m considering telling Johnnie about him, but that might get the psychiatrist killed, so I’m not so sure.

I enjoy dinner with Charlotte and Brooks every evening. She’s really a good cook. As Brooks and I discuss the facts of a case, she’s busy in the kitchen.

Johnnie and I shared such domesticity but cooking on a daily basis really isn’t my thing. I like eating out or having someone to cook for me.

Luckily, Meggie usually took care of the meals at the clubhouse, which I explained to Charlotte when she asked about the dynamics at the MC.

I thought she’d appreciate my words that I was the lawyer and Meggie the housewife. She actually seemed offended. It shocked me to discover Charlotte hadn’t worked a day in her life. She’d always been a mother and a housewife. But she also is a member of society and involved in numerous charities.

However, the conversation got me thinking about filtering my words. I can be direct, without being insulting.

Can’t I?
