Chapter 1: The initial meeting

My name is Victoria, and I am a twenty four year old woman. I

d like to say that my life is pretty average. I work to support myself, I hang out with my two best friends; Ellen and Lianna. I just live my life day by day. I do not have a boyfriend, though I hope one day I will find Mr. Right. I live in a two bedroom house, I am just renting it, and it

s nothing special. My living room is small, with hodge-podge, hand-me down furniture. My carpet is slightly stained. I have an old style box television in the corner, sitting on an old end table that Ellen

s mother gave to me when I moved in.

My bedroom, is my home. I spend a lot of my time in there relaxing, listening to music, and day dreaming. My friends tell me that I daydream much to often, but that

s a story in itself. My bed is in the middle of the wall across from the doorway of my bedroom. It is a solid oak four-poster canopy bed. The bedspread is black with red satin trim and red stitching. The pillow cases are red satin as well as the sheets. In the corner of my bedroom, near the master bathroom door, is a hammock, also red and black. Incase you can

t tell, red and black are my favorite colors.

My solid oak dresser sits across from my matching bed. It has a small box television sitting on the middle of it, with a DVD player next to it on one side, and a small stack of my favorite DVDs on the other side. My nightstand, also matching my bed and dresser. It sits on the side of my bed near the closet door. It has a small stereo, a small stack of CDs, and a digital alarm clock that I never really use sitting on it. Tucked underneath my pillow, slightly over the corner of the nightstand, is my cell phone charger.

When you walk into my master bathroom, the first thing that you see is my big garden style bathtub. Around the edge I have an assortment of different smelling bubble baths and oils, along with a variety of scented candles. Sometimes, I run a hot bath with scents of my choice, and climb in for hours at a time. I love daydreaming in the bath. It is one of my favorite pass times.

When I am not at home, I spend most of my time at work. I am the manager of a small store on the main strip of town. I love my job. I meet new people from all walks of life, and I have a great view of the ocean. When you walk into the front entrance, you see the walls lined with neon green laminated paper. On the paper are a wide variety of Jaguar tattoo stencils. The two display cases for the shape of an L right in front of the entry way. Inside the display cases, on the bottom two shelves, are pipes, bongs, and other smoking apparatus of all shapes, sizes, and colors imaginable. Body jewelry and belt buckles line the top shelve of both display cases. Pocket books and handbags hang from hooks all across the ceiling and line the shelves across both walls. It is a very small store, eight foot by nine foot, to be exact. I love my job, and I take pride in my work. Some might even go as far as saying that I am a bit of a perfectionist.

I am on my way to work on an early December morning, in my 1996 Ford Explorer. It seems like a pretty average day to me. The weather is warmer than usual, the sky a pearly blue with very little clouds. I am enjoying the scenery. To the left of me is the Inter-coastal waterway, sparkling blue-green water, rolling in the soft breeze. To the right, is a nice wooded area. The woods seem to hold some kind of mystery for me. I could walk through the woods for hours in searching for nothing in particular, relaxing, smelling the trees and the wildlife. It is very comforting to me. I roll my windows down and turn up the radio. Bartender by Rehab comes on as soon as I stop at a red light.

My long auburn hair is wildly blowing out of the window and back around my neck. I am singing

now I

m going back again, back to the pen to see my friends...she stole my heart in the trailer park, so I stole the keys to her fucking car

I crashed that piece of shit then stepped away

. I shove my hair behind my ear and notice that the man stopped at the red light in the lane next to me is staring directly at me.

He isn

t any ordinary man. He is beautiful. His hair is a dark shade of red, a red five o

clock shadow lining his face. He has perfectly sculptured eyebrows arched in a way that accents his gorgeous blue eyes. I can

t help but wonder how long he has been staring at me, and if he

s heard my off key performance of Bartender. I am staring back at him now. I feel as though we are looking into each other

s souls. It is almost as if his gaze is melting my brain waves, reading every thought that I

ve ever had. My body is falling to pieces, my skin has a fire like sensation burning across it, my woman parts are becoming moist and wanton. I am in total ecstasy just by looking into the eyes of this guy. No man has ever made me feel like this before.

The light turns green and the drivers in the cars behind us start to get frustrated. They are honking their horns and yelling profanities out their open windows. I want so bad to hit the gas and go, never looking back. However,  I just can

t take my foot of the brake petal of my truck. Something is holding me in my spot, motionless. I tune out my wanting to drive away, and the furious drivers behind us. I continue staring, it is as if I am in some kind of trance.

The man that has been staring at me is smiling now, he looks amused. What does he find so funny about this situation, what is he doing to me? All of a sudden I hear him say something.

Are you going to go, or just sit and stare at me all day?

Instantly, I am out of the trance, aggravated and embarrassed. I hit the gas and drive away.

I can

t believe my eyes. This woman is the most beautiful woman I have ever set eyes on. Her wild auburn hair is flowing in the breeze, her pale skin glowing in the sunlight. She has eyes so blue that they almost appear to be grey. They look like they hold misty ocean water in their depths. She is dancing awkwardly and singing off key to a song I do not know until she noticed me starting at her. She is beaming with happiness as if she hasn

t a care in the world. She seems one with the universe. I can

t stop staring at her. Normally, I would have told her to go park her car and get her sexy ass into my passenger seat, but I can

t bring myself to say it to her. I think she is special. I can

t even speak a word. It feels like my soul is entwining with hers as she meets my stare. My body is heating up, I want to jump out of my car specifiable designed for me, wrap my hands in her wild natural hair, kiss her passionately, and never let her go. The light turns green, and the honks and vulgarities grow more prominent with each passing second. I have to do something!

I have to think of something to do to get our eyes away from each other. Many possibilities are running through my mind. I decide to be an ass hole,

are you going to go, or just stare at me all day?

I ask. She looks pissed! Maybe she looks embarrassed, but pissed at the same time. She turns red and drives off. I can almost feel what she is feeling. What the fuck just happened and why did she make me feel this way? I don

t know, but I intend to find out. I decide to follow her.

Who does he think he is, putting me under some kind of spell? He was staring at me first! Why did he have to act like an arrogant jerk? Why didn

t he just speak to me like a normal person? I continue questioning myself over the entire ordeal. I look to my rear-view mirror. Oh hell, he is following me! This guy really has some nerve. I have to loose him, I think to myself. I have never been late to work in my entire life, today will be the first. I hit the gas reaching speeds close to one hundred miles per hour. I weave in and out of traffic making left turns, then right, and than u-turns.

For forty five minutes, he never looses site of me. Fuck! I think to myself. I will just go to work, if he tries anything there, there will be witness. I get on the by pass and head for 501. I arrive at the parking lot which is located across the alley behind my shop. I reach into my purse and pull out my pink taser. I have previously name it Mr. Pink. I step pout of my truck and lock the doors. Where did he go? He was just parked two spaces away from me, and now he is gone. I thought it was weird, and part of me didn

t care. The other part of me was wondering if I would see him again, if I would feel those feelings of ecstasy from his gaze again.

I walk around the corner, past the Ripley

s Believe it or not Museum and into Bargain Beachwear. I turn the corner into my store and say good morning to Mary Chris who was just turning on the registers of Bargain. I slide open my big glass doors, and flick on the lights in my display cases. I can

t stop thinking about that man. I just don

t understand how someone can make a person feel that way by only looking at him. He must be magical. Deep down I have always believed that some form of magic exists, but I never knew it would feel like this. That is the only explanation I can think of.

The rest of my day continues pretty much like normal. Friendly customers come in and chat a little, and make a few purchases. Being December, its relatively slow, so I do a little dusting and try to read a book. I wasn

t making it very far reading because I kept getting side tracked when something in the story would remind me of that strange man from this morning. It is like he has taken a permanent residence in my brain. I really want to tell somebody about this, anyone, but nobody will understand. Not even Ellen or Lianna, they will think I am crazy for sure. I decide to keep it to myself, for now.

I had to leave. I am not sure what I was going to do if I had gotten out of my car, but I was afraid to find out. I have decided that I am going to watch her for a while. I want to know more about her before I decide on talking to her in person. I know it is creepy, but I

ve done way worse. I am a vampire after all, and I

m sort of rough sexually if you know what I mean. I have manhandled women for their pleasure, I have talked down to them and called them sluts before during and after sex. Following a person around is far less creepy than those things.

Over the next week or so I will watch her work and even follow her home. Today, I park a few parking lots away from her. I watch her walk around the corner, and decide to go

shopping

across the street from her shop. I had asked many people about her already and found out that he name is Victoria, and that she is twenty four. She has been working at the same store for about four years. Her goal is to open her own business some day. She doesn

t have any children and has never been married. Over the last four years she hasn

t even had a date that anybody knows about. I pretend to be looking into a display case. I turn around and look at her. She is as beautiful as ever.

The next few days I spend doing the same thing. I shop in miscellaneous stores near the location of her shop. I watch her, I bask in her beauty. I continue to ask people near her random questions about her. I am sure they think I am crazy and some even refuse to answer my questions. The people that work on the main strip here seem to for a tight knit family. They all seem to care a great deal about Victoria. She sure is something special.

I wake up this morning, and decide that I will personally speak to Victoria today. I can

t force myself to wait any longer. I need to hear her voice. I park my car two spots over from where she has parkered her car. She was still in it when I pulled up. She is listening to country music and doing a little dance. It appears that she is running late leaving her house or something because she is fixing her hair. She doesn

t seem like the type to be running late, I think to myself. Maybe her windows had been open in her turck and had blown her hair around. That seems like a more plausible answer. She has spotted me.
