Chapter 10
Ellora

J
ust lay back dear
,” the doctor said as he adjusted Ellora on the medical table. It was soft, covered in light blue sheets that matched the uniforms of the younger lieutenants. Just like Nash.

“Is this going to hurt?”

The older doctor clucked his tongue. It slithered out from underneath his teeth, split in the middle. It matched his exterior as well, scales covered fifty percent of his humanlike skin. His eyes were piercing green hidden behind old spectacles. He didn’t make Ellora uncomfortable by any means, she had seen his type before. Almost all Replal were obsessed with the medical profession, so anytime she got a serious cut or burn Lazio would call one of them to come check her out. At least he had enough decency to do that, she knew of other slave owners that would just rather let them die.

“I promise to never to hurt you. You’re a guest on our ship, regardless of what some of the lieutenants or commander feel. You are not a prisoner my dear. We just need to find where they put this chip and figure how to get it out of you, then we can send you on your way.”

She nodded to him as he slipped the mask over her face and she closed her eyes. She could still hear everything that was going on, and she figured if she opened her eyes she could’ve seen it as well but she’d rather not. She felt the pinch of the needle go into her hand and a warm feeling emanate through her body. It felt nice, almost as if she could finally get some sleep. She closed her eyes. She allowed herself to be taken off into a dream world while the doctor did his examination, she could listen when she woke up.

Chapter 11
Nash

N
ash watched
from behind the glass doors as the machine ran over Ellora’s body three times. He noticed the doctor out of the corner of his eye taking notes and surveying the scans. Finally, the scanner stopped right above her chest and began to blink. A grim expression moved across the doctor’s face as he examined the monitors. Behind him, Nash saw the commander join him behind the glass.

“She’s asleep, we can speak freely,” Nash said to him.

The commander stood stoically with his hands behind his back, his black gloves once again on and in full uniform. “What do you see doctor?” He asked through the communicator.

The older man shook his head, his divided tongue flipping out of his mouth occasionally as he was testing the air. “It’s not good Sir. It seems they placed the microchip underneath her breastbone, just next to her heart, see there?” He said as he pointed to the monitor. You could just barely make out the tiniest of black specks among all of the red blood and tissue. “I’m going have to do some further examinations, but as of now I don’t see how we could get it out. I have to ask what is so important about it?”

The commander shook his head. “We think it has something to do with the plague. Perhaps what caused it, we’re hoping for more information.”

The doctor raised an eyebrow. “The plague? We have a vaccine now. Besides the plague happened nearly a human decade ago, when this girl was just a child. Most of the strains have died out at this point, it’s no longer a threat, commander. I’m not sure it’s worth doing the operation on her to retrieve it.”

Nash watched her body, her shallow breathing made him uncomfortable. He couldn’t imagine what it would be like to watch her go through surgery, especially one that the doctor didn’t seem to agree with. He knew it wasn’t safe.

“We may have to do another recon mission. Figure out exactly if what’s on the microchip is worth this woman’s life. But as of right now we treat her as its carrier. Keep her happy and comfortable until we can move forward with a constructive plan.”

Nash was so focused on the lines of her body. His eyes flickered over full lips, and he traced the outline of her skin.

“Lieutenant? Did you get all that?”

Nash shook his head and then stood tall at attention. “Keep her comfortable and safe, yes Sir!” He saluted the commander and then watched him return the salute before exiting the medical bay. After he was gone Nash turned towards the doctor to get the full picture.

“Do you really think that could be any information on the microchip about the plague that we don’t know?”

The older man shrugged, his light blue lab coat rippling as he moved. “I doubt it. But this isn’t my ship, it’s the commander’s call ultimately. But I can’t say I’m very confident that the operation wouldn’t kill her. But as long as she has a chip inside her someone is always going to want it. Whether it’s the Alliance, or the Pirates. At least for now the Trekkers have her, for her that’s a plus.”

Nash went through the glass door and stood by her unconscious body. He ached to reach out and hold her hand.

“You can touch her son. She won’t remember it. And I won’t tell. She’ll wake up in a short while. I plan on leaving the scan on, but turning off the lights and letting her relax. You’re welcome to stay with her.”

Nash nodded to the doctor as the older man pressed something on his handheld screen and the lights became dim. He walked through the exterior doors and the glass shut behind him.

Nash struggled with the decision whether to hold her hand or not. He was stepping over the line, but he couldn’t help himself. He wrapped his massive hands around her own delicate one and interlaced their fingers. He felt a surge of electricity flow through them and go straight to his half human heart.

He couldn’t deny it anymore, they were truly mates. And now he would have to disobey orders for the first time in his life, he wouldn’t let the commander perform the surgery. Not until they had more answers.

He would do anything to keep her safe.

Chapter 12
Ellora

W
hat literally felt
like hours had passed by the time Ellora opened her eyes.

“That was the best sleep I think I have ever had,” she said looking at Nash. “Did you stay with me? This whole time?”

She couldn’t help but admit to herself that she hoped that he would stay. She felt safer when he was around, more protected.

“You weren’t out that long.”

She sat up slowly, noticing that the needle had already been pulled out of her hand. And the lights were dim in the medical bay. “Oh.”

Nash seemed to notice that she wasn’t pleased with his response. “But I would’ve waited for hours, if that’s what it had taken you to wake up.”

“Oh,” she said again this time in a softer tone. “So what did they find?”

Nash twisted his head back and forth as if he were checking for microphone or something. “Maybe we should discuss this back in my quarters.” He offered her his hand and she gladly took it hopping down off of the table. From there he didn’t let go, he held onto her hand as they exited the medical bay and made their way through the maze of hallways that seemed never-ending. Finally, she read a sign on the door that said
Officers’ Quarters
. She followed him through another set of doors and then saw his name on another door.

“Is this home?” She asked him.

He let go of her hand as he punched in a code and the door pulled back into the wall. “It’s all mine, my own little kingdom.”

He extended his hand in front of her and she walked in, she was amazed at what she saw.

“It’s incredible. You can see space from nearly every angle, this is how all the lieutenants’ quarters are?”

He shook his head. “This used to be an observation deck, but when I joined the fleet they had to make room for some of us. I offered to be the person to live here. I think sometimes when we’re floating along in the galaxy that we forget how truly magnificent it is. This way before I go to sleep every night and when I wake up every day I’m forced to remember that we’re just a speck in the greater universe.”

Ellora chewed on her lower lip as she thought about that. She never heard anyone talk about space with such admiration before. She could listen to him talk about it all day. “How long have you been on this ship?”

“Nearly four years. Human time anyway.”

“And how do you measure time?”

“In the Amman years. So we call them years just like you humans do, but our years are much shorter. Maybe something more like an earth’s month?”

She nodded. “But you still live longer than us.”

“Much longer.”

She walked along the edge of his room where a shelf went the whole way through the glass. On it were flickering screens, images of him laughing with some of his teammates, a picture with him and a woman with the same eyes, Ellora guessed that it was his mother.

“Do you have family?”

“Just my mother, she lives on a space station near Fumar. She’s a scientist there.”

“Oh, what does she study?”

“I’m not totally sure to be honest. We kind of lost touch when my father passed. I didn’t have any other human friends; I wasn’t prepared for the loss.”

Her heart hurt for him. “Do you ever get lonely out here?”

She turned around when he didn’t answer. He cocked his head at her, “Lonely? I’m surrounded by hundreds of other operatives. Why would that be lonely?”

“I don’t know. I just thought that maybe would like some different type of company.”

She didn’t know what was coming over her being alone in this room with him, the entire galaxy could both see her but never notice her. She felt the need to make a statement. To tell him that she felt something for him. But with the threat of the microchip looming over her she needed answers first.

She walked across the room and sat down on his plastic cot, it wasn’t very different than the one that she had been on. She leaned down and looked at her hands. “The microchip isn’t good news, is it?”

She looked up at him imploring to tell her the truth. His silver eyes reached her own. “No it’s not. The commander feels as though there’s some important information on it, he wants it out of you. But the doctor has realized that the only way to do that…”

“Is through an operation?”

He shook his head and then sat down next to her. “It’s worse than that. The microchip is embedded right next to your heart. The doctor doesn’t think that he’ll be able to get it out and that you would survive the surgery.”

She felt her breath catch in her chest. What the hell had Lazio done to her? And what was on this microchip that it was so important that he was willing to sacrifice one of his best slaves for it?

Nash grabbed her hands and knelt down on the floor in front of her. He was still so much taller than her though, so even though he was kneeling he was still above her. “I’m not going to let that happen to you. I brought you on the ship, I’ll get you out.”

She smiled at him weakly. “You and I both know that you can’t do that. It’s your job to follow orders and to complete your mission. I just wish that we had more time together. To figure all this out.”

His hand reached up and brushed against her cheek, he drug his finger along her bottom lip. “We don’t need more time. I’m not going to let them do the operation. I’ll spend my life protecting you and whatever it is that you carry inside of you. This is my duty now. And lady, I never fail.”

He winked at her, it was such a human thing to do. It reminded her of his relaxed attitude at Lazio’s. She looked into the gray flecks that swirled around within his eyes she knew he was telling the truth. She leaned forward, half expecting him to back away but instead he stayed firm. She put her forehead against his as a sign of true understanding. “I see you,” she mumbled knowing that this was the custom of his people. If he responded with the same gesture it would be as though he was claiming her. That they would agree that they were in this together, for as long as it took. She hoped for forever.

He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply before responding back to her. “I see you too Ellora. I have since my eyes found you in that room. I see you all the time in my mind’s eye. I think my commander is right about mates, and I think I finally found mine.”

She nodded against him feeling the same way. There was this magnetic force between them that she couldn’t deny any longer and she reached forward with her lips and laid a hastened kiss upon his. She didn’t know how he would react with such a human gesture but he let go of her hands and wrapped his own around her face pulling her into him. He laid back on the floor pulling her down with him but supporting her weight, he was so much stronger than anyone she had ever met.

Her hair fell down around both their faces and she felt his rough kisses move over her lips and then across her cheek.

He whispered in her ear, “I want to mate with you.”

She froze for a moment. She’d never heard those words before. She inhaled his scent as his lips continued to search her skin. “I do too,” she said, finally accepting his offer.

His hands found her waist and he stroked the fabric beneath his fingers. She straddled him and pulled the dress up from her legs. He grabbed the fabric and pulled it off of her completely. She sat on top of him completely exposed. But she didn’t feel vulnerable in the slightest. Watching his eyes take in her body she knew she was cherished.

She began grinding against his body, feeling his hard cock beneath his loose pants. His hands reached for her breasts and he playfully flicked her nipples. Suddenly he sat up and stood, her body still wrapped around his, he laid her down on his cot. She watched as he removed his own pants as she wriggled out of her underwear. His member sprang loose, showing just how erect he was, and huge. She had never seen someone so well endowed.

“You’re so…”

“Big?” He asked winking at her.

“Yes, very big.” She said, a breath escaping her lips.

“Then we’ll just have to make sure you’re ready for me.” He said as leaned down and spread her legs with his large hands. He buried his face between her legs and began licking her juices with fervor.

She moaned, tossing her head back against his dark gray pillow. Her one hand gripped his hair, urging him to push his tongue deeper inside her, while the other held onto the side of the cot. Her body felt like it was going to explode, but just as she was going to come he pulled away from her.

“What are you doing?” She asked, exasperated.

“You were close. I want to feel you when it happens.” He paused for a moment. “I’ve never had intercourse with a human before. I’m told your orgasms are explosive. I want to experience that with you.”

She nodded as he lifted her up again, sitting back on his knees. She admired the dark tattoos that covered most of his body. She had gotten hers as a rebellion to the old woman she worked for. But the lady didn’t care, she said it was beautiful. That’s exactly how she felt about Nash’s symbols. They were moments to him, experiences and memories he would never forget.

She wrapped her legs around him again, sitting high off the cot on top of him. She felt his large cock slip inside of her. It filled her completely. If he had been any bigger she thought she would break, but instead her body ached for more. He began slowly bouncing her on top of him, she clutched onto his skin, her nails digging into his body.

“Oh my stars!” She said barely being able to breathe.

He grunted in response, picking up the pace.

“Oh Nash!” She yelled, getting close to the orgasm he had wanted to experience so badly. He was going to experience it all right.

He pushed up into her one more time, this time pounding into her g-spot. She couldn’t hold on any longer. She felt her body tremble as the cosmic waves crashed over her body. She felt a hot almost burning sensation as she came down of her high and looked to see Nash with his eyes closed breathing slowly.

“Nash? Nash, are you alright?”

He didn’t respond.

“Nash!”

“I’m fine Ellora, just enjoying the moment. I’ve never felt that before. Something was different. My seed is attracted to you. It’s working now.”

“Working?”

“Yes, creating a child for us I think.”

Ellora’s head swam with confusion. A baby? For her and Nash? “And if it didn’t?”

“Then we’ll continue to practice until it does.”

Now that she could get on board with.
