"And you might be pulling things out of your
ass again."

Brad sighed and turned to leave the tower. "I
hope you’re right." He held the door open leading to the
watchtower’s staircase. "Ladies first."

"Dick."

Before following his mentor, Brad cast one
last look behind him. His smile faded as the ripping sound
diminished on the road. He steeled himself and glanced at the
sunrise one last time.

"We’ll figure something out."
