He took her hand in his and asked, “Is everything ok, you seemed to tense up on me back there.”

She played with the condensation on her beer and said, “Yes, everything is fine. I just, you know, miss Winnie.”

“You will see her tomorrow.”

“No I won’t. Luke’s parents took her away for a while. They said I need some time to get my life together.”

Austin had no clue Luke’s parents stepped in. His heart reached out for Molly. He couldn’t imagine how she must be feeling.

“I had no idea, when did this happen?”

“A couple of weeks ago. I tried to be strong but
it’s so hard.”

Austin wrapped her up in his arms. He felt bad for feeling a little happy at this moment because Molly was actually opening up to him and
leaning on him for support. She was very much closed off to him most of the time but the fact that she needed him right now, made his heart swell.

“It will be alright
, honey. I can help you. We can get her back.”

“Thanks, uh hey, would you mind if I slip out for a second to go call Luke’s parents. I want to make sure Winnie got home ok and is settled.”

“Of course.”
He kissed her on the forehead and helped her get up from the couch.

“I’
ll be back, go and enjoy the party.”

Austin watched her step out into the l
obby and could not believe the luck he had. Molly was a challenge but he was slowly breaking the wall down that she put up after losing Luke. A couple more nights like this and he could picture her living in his house, sharing a life with him. Yes, he was making tremendous progress. He got up and joined the party again, feeling like he just won the lottery.

Molly grabbed her phone from her purse and sent a text message.

Molly: Don’t have much time. Meet me by the vending machine. Have to make it quick.

She didn’t plan on using her daughter as an excuse to get away from Austin’s needy hands but she was desperate. She knew he had good intentions and cared about her, it was actually kind of sweet but she was not in the same place as him. He wanted a life with her and she just wanted to play with his dick.

Last night was amazing, she could not deny that. She had never been more turned on than she was last night fucking up against the ice machine. He was so demanding and relentless it made her feel incredibly sexy. Afterwards though, he wanted to hold her and snuggle, which was not her thing. She was letting him get too close. When he asked if she wanted to go back to his place, she froze. She could tell he wanted to ask her something important which scared the crap out of her, so that was why she told him about Winnie. She had no choice. She was putting some lip gloss on when she was grabbed from behind and pushed against the wall.

“Are you wearing underwear?”

Smiling she said, “Jane made me.”

She felt thick, strong hands run up her thighs and rip her underwear off.

Good lord!

              “Much better.”

She wanted to turn around but he had a firm grasp on her. So she just stood still. He lifted her dress so it was up around her breasts. She felt exposed and slightly vulnerable.

“Hold your dress up. I don’t want it getting in the way.”

She did as she was told and then felt his hands start from the bottom of her breasts, gliding over her rib cage to her stomach and down to her already moist center.

“I saw you had some late night fun. Was he good?”

His hand was hovering over her center barely touching her, driving crazy. She forgot what the questions was.

“Answer me, was he good?” He asked again probing his fingers inside of her. Her knees went weak from the raw pleasure she was receiving.

“Yes, he made me scream.”

“I heard. Do you think he was better than me?”

What kind of question was that? How could she answer.

“Reid, I don’t…”

“Answer the question Molly.” He continued to move his fingers in and out of her while slightly rubbing her nub, making her brain turn into fuzz. She couldn’t even speak because she was about to fall over the edge. Then all of a sudden he pulled out. She groaned in frustration. He turned her around and she came face to face with his handsome features. His eyes were much darker than normal.

“Was he better than me?”

“Yes.” She could not believe she answered his question. It was true though, Austin blew her mind last night.

“Well, we’re going to have to change that then.”

Molly watched him pull his pants down and saw his erection surge into the air. She swallowed hard and prepared to be proven wrong.

Chapter 15

Marc was reminiscing with some of the guys on the team when he looked out on the dance floor and saw Patty dancing with some Italian man. She was dancing quite close and practically had her face all over his. He was whispering in her ear and holding her as if she was his possession. Marc’s blood started to boil. Who was this guy and why was Patty letting him hold her like that?

When they shared their one dance of the evening, they had what seemed like a foot between them. They barely spoke to each other and the whole encounter was pretty much one of the most awkward moments of his life. He could tell she wanted to say something but she didn’t gather enough courage to say whatever was hanging off the tip of her tongue. After the song was over they looked at each other for what seemed like minutes and then walked in separate directions. It broke his heart but he knew he had to make a clean break from her.

He tried to listen to more stories from the guys but he couldn’t pay attention. He was only focused on Patty and the Italian guy on the dance floor.

Marc
walked over to the bar to grab another beer when he saw April, Patty’s old roommate. He decided to quiz her about the strange man.

“Hey April. Having a good time?”

She was rather fidgety which he never noticed before. “Uh, yea…you?”

“Yup having a nice time. So, uh who is that guy with Patty, they seem to be close.”

April looked at him, her eyes going completely wide and he noticed a bead of sweat at her temple. What the hell was going on?”

“That’s Gino.”

Marc’s stomach flipped completely over and for a second he thought he was going to lose all the beer he stored in his system throughout the night. What was Gino doing here and why was Patty dancing with him? Why didn’t she call security to remove him? Did she invite him? Is that what she was trying to tell them when they were dancing?

He thanked April, told her to have a good night and went over to his table. He placed his head in his hands trying to rub out the terrible picture of Gino and Patty out of his head. He didn’t think he could be any angrier until he looked up and saw them kissing right in the middle of the dance floor. He could not believe what he was seeing. It was like Gino came down to Atlanta ripped his heart out of his chest and stomped on it all over the floor like he was trying to make some kind of wine.

That was it, Marc couldn’t take this. He grabbed his cell phone, chugged the last of his beer and walked across the dance floor bumping into the happy couple and continued his pace out of the ballroom. He heard someone calling his name but he kept walking. Little footsteps chased after him and his shoulder was yanked on.

“Wait Marc.” He heard Patty say but he didn’t care to listen, he just kept walking.

Austin went up to Lucy who was hanging out with her new boyfriend, he assumed. He needed to make things right between them. Lucy stopped talking to Connor when she saw Austin approaching, which made Connor turn around, stand up and protectively place his arm around Lucy’s waist.

“Hey Lucy.”

“Austin, nice to see you. You remember Connor.” Lucy said gesturing toward Connor.

“Of course. Uh, I just wanted to apologize for the way I reacted when I saw you two. It wasn’t my place to have that kind of reaction.”

Connor extended his hand out to Austin and said, “Don’t sweat it. I would have reacted the same way if I was in your position. Lucy is a one of a kind girl.”

That she was, Austin thought. Ever since he met her in high school he knew she was something special.

“Thanks, for being so cool. How are things going for you guys? I can tell you’re happy Lucy, it’s written all over your face.”

“We’re extremely happy right now. Thanks for asking. How are things with Molly? We talked last night and got everything out in the open. It felt nice not fighting with her for once.”

“Things are going great actually. It’s been hard as you know. She has put up a big wall when it comes to relationships but I’m slowly wearing her down. She actually went to go check on her daughter and I haven’t seen her in a while. I think I might go look for her.”

“We will go with you” Connor said. “We were thinking about getting some fresh air.”

Austin, Lucy and Connor left the ballroom and started looking around for Molly. He didn’t realize how much time had passed since she left to go talk to Luke’s parents until people slowly started trickling out of the ballroom and leaving for the night. He started to get a little worried. He knew she was in a sensitive situation with losing Winnie so he wanted to make sure she was ok.

He looked around, scanning for his blonde bombshell when he saw Lucy and Connor stop in their place as Lucy put a hand over her mouth in shock. Austin went running over to where they were and found Molly with her skirt half up and a man inserted inside of her. He didn’t know what to do he was completely taken back.

“What the hell are you doing?” Lucy asked in disgust. That was when he saw Molly and made eye contact with her. She quickly pulled apart from the man she was fucking, pulled her skirt down and glared at Lucy.

“You Bitch. You brought Austin here, didn’t you?”

“He was looking for you and was worried about you. Apparently he shouldn’t have cared so much.”

Austin just stood there with his jaw practically hanging on the floor and watched the two girls go at. The man who was with Molly, slowly slipped into the background, zipped his pants and squeezed out of the small space, unnoticed by Molly.

Molly turned toward Austin and said, “Austin, it was just a little slip up. I haven’t seen Reid in a while and one thing led to another.”

Austin’s throat was too tight to even say anything but thank God for Lucy. “You’re an idiot Molly. If I run into someone I haven’t seen in a while I usually exchange a hug with them, not sexual secretions!”

“You have no room to talk.” Molly yelled at her.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Do you want to tell them or should I?”

What was Molly talking about? Austin looked over at Lucy who turned completely pale and looked like she was going to pass out.

Molly turned to Austin and Connor and said, “What your precious little Lucy has not told you is that within days of fucking you Austin, she fucked her new boy toy Connor and guess what? She is pregnant and has no fucking clue who the father is.”

Austin needed to sit down. In the matter of half an hour his life went from complete bliss to total shit. Lucy was pregnant and it might be his child and Molly was cheating on him? Where did he go wrong?
