Chapter Three: Proposition

The next twenty four hours of her life contained nothing but coffee and a quick nap before she found herself in-front of the mirror once more, this time in that little-red-dress that every woman owned. She was going to do her best for Paul, after their little encounter yesterday all thoughts of doubt seemed to be wiped from his mind however Laura’s were growing more and more. When she looked at him she found herself wishing it was Alexander staring back. She wanted something so badly that she’d started to let herself drift off into her thoughts because they seemed so much more fun than what was actually going on.

Laura kept asking herself -
Am I obsessed? Is this normal?

She had to pause her mind though as she began to walk down the stairs and just like at her prom, Paul was waiting for her at the bottom with a smile, close to tears and a rose. It was five years today; five whole years since they’d first gotten together and all Laura could think was what Alexander would think of the paper she wrote last night.

Of course she hadn’t finished it in one night; Laura decided to write the first half and use this weekend with her boyfriend as inspiration for the second. While she found herself excited to be going to an expensive restaurant and to be treated like a princess for an entire forty-eight hours she also found herself excited for Monday morning when she’d see Alexander again; she was conflicted but for now she painted on the good-girl smile and took Paul’s hand as they left for the expensive meal he’d planned.

Laura had curled her blonde locks so that they sat on her shoulders; bouncing as she walked down the steps to the taxi with Paul, they’d decided to have a few drinks and stop over at an extravagant hotel so there was no need for the cars and Laura never got around to fixing her tire. Also, there was a part of her that didn’t want the prim-and-proper neatness of Paul’s car, she longed to look down at that dirty magazine and sniff up the lingering odor of cigarettes once more.

Paul tried to make a move on her during the taxi ride and although she’d been more than willing the previous day Laura had once again brushed her beloved off all day only to focus on her fantasies which crippled her to a state of silence. It was a constant battle of lust inside her mind which raged throughout the entire journey until she was forced to smile at Paul once more as a hand reached in to lift her out of the cab and onto the pathway in which the restaurant doors were.

Arms linked the couple entered the most expensive place in Seattle together. Paul was one of those middle-class people who had some sort of relative that knew everyone and everything, a socialite of some-sorts in the sense he only had to make a phone call to get a place booked with no issues.

Laura had always found this quite appealing and yet today she seemed to want to crawl into a dirty, grungy bar and eat her food with her hands and drink beer and take a cigarette and just go wild. She never thought a man like Alexander would dine at such an overpriced place and it made her not want to be here either.

The two of them were seated. The table stood a little high and the backs of the chairs stood higher; the table had a white, velvet-type clothe covering it and at least four knives and forks spread out across each side. Laura was used to this sort of layout, she’d been raised with all of it and Paul expected no less. Still, although it was nice and it was meant to be a treat it felt to Laura as if this had been her whole life. She felt like she’d always done this, always been with Paul and always did the best of the best; what she longed for was something different, something a little dirtier.

Paul gathered that he’d be fighting for a conversation with Laura so he took it upon himself to order two bottles of wine. Laura was almost shocked as he spoke of getting two bottles – this was a man who couldn’t handle a can of beer, a man she’d not seen take a sip of alcohol in the last three years at least. She welcomed the change as it was just what they were looking for and as the first glasses were poured she finally felt – for the first time in a while, that she could connect with Paul.

“Remember our first date – remember how badly that ended.” Paul laughed as the two were deep in reminiscing about old times.

Laura came from a deeply religious and right-wing family that had a certain reputation to uphold within their community. As Laura grew older and restless she had her own ways of rebelling and it was on her first date with Paul she truly found herself going against her parents will; not that Paul had anything to do with it; he was just in for the ride.

The two of them were eighteen and fresh out of high school, Laura had never in her life touched alcohol and would continue to stay off the stuff for a few years after the event. The two of them managed to get served at the restaurant they were in at the time; Laura was so thrilled and turned on by the incident that she drank one-to-many and found herself in a lip-lock at her front door at midnight. Her parents had stressed she be home by eleven and the moment her father smelt the booze he was right on the phone to Paul’s parents. However once Laura owned up to it being her idea and told her father how Paul had taken care of her throughout the night the two of them grew closer along with their families.

“My father was so angry; how long was it before we were allowed alone together again?” It was weeks, every so-called date after that occurred in Paul’s family’s living room and Paul’s mother always stressed that the drinks were non-alcoholic to which the two of them would burst into laughter.

This was nice, it was what Laura needed. She felt those devilish urges flowing out of her as she found herself reintroducing her affection for her boyfriend Paul. He was charming, handsome and they’d been through a lot together. This is what she wanted – so she kept telling herself. Over and over she laughed, chuckled, smiled and giggled to herself. Alexander was becoming nothing but a memory – or so she thought.

Just as the laughter began to flow, just as the second or third glass which Laura wasn’t keeping count of began to get poured – she saw him.

Retreating back into her mind she imagined what she wanted to do. Laura got up from her seat and stormed over to the man, she cleaned his table of cu
tlery and threw her body of it. Begging him, Laura pleaded for the older man to unzip his trousers and lift her dress him; his throbbing member would pulsate against her little red thong and moving it aside he’d plough deep into her body causing her to scream out. She’d lie there taking every inch of his massive manhood and cry over and over again, she’d beg for his sweet tasting seed deep in her dripping hole. She couldn’t wipe these thoughts, they were a part of her now and she knew it.

“Laura?” Paul noticed the change; he knew something was wrong but he had no idea what it could be. He kept asking himself what was different, why was his girlfriend who was usually so cheerful and close seemed so distant and cold. His fears for their relationship tried to resurface but he reassured himself that she simply had a lot on her mind with college. That’s all it was – that’s what he kept repeating in his mind.

Paul’s words brought her back to reality. Laura wished she could stay in that fantasy forever; she longed for her lecturer’s touch. For his taste to consume her, his lips to devour her breasts and leave her erect nipples seeping. She wanted his thick, manly hands to dig into her thighs as his tongue worked its way up into her aching hole. She wanted his grip to tighten in her hair as she went down on his shaft. She wanted his claws to dig into her hips as she was bent over that lecture-hall desk and ploughed like a whore. Laura wanted him and there was no denying it now.

Alexander stood tall as he looked over to a young, slim blonde who made her way to his table, kissed him on the cheek and then took a seat facing him. She has the shortest skirt on, the skimpiest little black top. She was covered in make-up or so Laura decided from a distance. Laura also decided that she wasn’t that great, she was just any other woman. She could be his sister or his friend. All these thoughts were pushed aside as Alexander walked over to the seated woman and took a real kiss from her lips – one that lingered to what felt like hours to Laura.

Laura let out a short gasp of shock as she saw her lecturer stick his tongue down some young-blonde’s mouth.
“Is everything okay?” Paul noticed the sudden change in attitude but Laura wasn’t listening at all, she was insanely jealous and it was beginning to show.

Realizing that her boyfriend was questioning her she turned to him was a smile covering her rage.
“I just need the bathroom; this wine has gone straight to my head.” She almost ran, power-walking from her seat and not breaking eye contact with Alexander the entire time. She was soon faced with a mirror and her hands spread out across the bathroom sink; her heart was raging, it pulsated faster and faster as she worked herself up into a state of confusion and sadness.

Laura knew it was silly, she knew that Alexander wasn’t hers but she still didn’t like seeing him touch other women. She began to calm down as the thoughts of her five-year anniversary roamed her mind but just as she headed for the door it opened and pushed her back a little; there stood the barely-dressed blonde who pushed past Laura and headed right for the mirror. She went into a tiny purse to pull out some deep-red lipstick and began applying it rather heavily on her chunky, already-red lips. Laura thought she looked like a porn star and yet she found herself insanely jealous.

As the woman leaned over to apply even more make-up to her face Laura noticed something; she wasn’t wearing anything under her little skirt. That was it for Laura; she knew the kind of man Alexander was and she still wanted him. She thought the only way she’d ever get to the core of this need she felt she had to confront the man; she had to be confident like this woman in-front of her.

“Do you want some?” The woman looked into the mirror and made eye contact with Laura as she starred down at the woman’s behind which was on full display. Laura didn’t know if she was being offered the lipstick in hand or the behind on show – she quickly shook her head and ran for the door.

When she left the room she headed for Alexander’s table and to her surprise Paul was talking to the man. She’d completely forgotten that the two of them had seen each other on several occasions when Paul had picked Laura up from her class – he waved her over to the table and an increasing nervousness and unease befell her. The man she wanted was talking to the man she was with – this couldn’t be good.

“I noticed your car was still at the grounds when I went in for my second-half of the day so I made sure to park mine next to it. They’ll assume you’re a teacher or something and we can leave our cars there over the weekend anytime.” His sharp, deep voice travelled not only to her ears but down her thighs as well. Laura stood smiling at Alexander not knowing what to say or do in the situation.

“Isn’t that nice of him?” Paul asked as he continued to blurt out anything and everything that came to mind.

Eventually the other woman returned and after both Paul and Laura standing next to the couple for a little while the staff offered that the two tables be placed together to which Alexander was quick to respond with a simple yes. She didn’t think he’d be the sort to want more company when he had a young-blonde to please but then again Laura didn’t know much about him at all. He’d always been a mystery which was part of the attraction.

The conversation seemed to flow quite easily between the couples. They were bouncing off one another, laughing and taunting one another. Even though they’d never made time for one another before and barely knew one another it felt like they were old friends
.

Laura watched nervously as the mask to Alexander slowly shattered; she finally understanding who he was – just a little bit. However this didn’t help her ease her attraction, now more than ever she was aroused at the thought of her lecturer.

“You two are funny.” The blonde whose name came out to be ‘bunny’ according to Alexander was laughing at everything that Paul said. Laura didn’t notice it but it appeared she was flirting and Paul seemed to love every second of it however Alexander had some moves of his own to make with thoughts of what he really wanted crossing his mind and a no-hold-back attitude when it came to saying them.

“So would you two be interested in a small party?” Laura’s eared perked like that of a dog when it’s shouted. She didn’t know what he meant but she was eager to find out. Paul looked towards Bunny and then back to his girlfriend who he noticed was fixated on Alexander; not too sure what was going on he was the one to question Alex’s motives.

“A party? What kind of party?” He started to find it all a little weird. The flirting, the couples sitting together even though there wasn’t much of a friendship between them. It became extremely curious in his mind whereas Laura was living out a fantasy she had worked up over the last few days.
