She looked down at him and grinned. “I don’t think that my small shower is the place for this.” She was gasping for air. It felt so amazing, however, to have him doing this to her now. “God that feels so good though, I don’t want you to stop.” She was flipping and flopping in her words and actions, but she couldn’t help it.

“Not stopping,” he assured her. “Not until you come apart in my arms.” He smiled and then went back to work, his mouth moving over her as he teased and tasted her over and over again, his fingers moving to drive her to the edge and beyond.

She moved her hand into his hair and sobbed as she began to shiver, beginning to come apart as she did so. “More, God yes, Benedek, that feels so good.” She was moving her hips on him, demanding everything from him.

Growling against her flesh, he lapped at her moisture, taking every drop onto his tongue over and over again, the flat of his teeth rubbing persistently at her clit. Pressing his fingers in deeper, he wiggled his one finger buried in her anus, stroking her and teasing her.

She nearly choked on the water as she tossed her head back and screamed, the shout so unexpected as her knees went completely weak with her release. “Benedek,” she cried again with her hands braced on his shoulders, barely able to remain standing as she did so.

Gently he let her slide down until she was straddling his lap. “I’ve got you, love,” he whispered against her cheek. Rubbing her back lightly, he held her as her body continued to quake until she slowly stilled and relaxed. “Are you all right?” he asked, leaning back enough to see her face.

She finally lifted her head and grinned. “Oh yeah.” She was better than all right. She was boneless and pleasured beyond anything else. “God I love you,” she whispered as she looked into his eyes. “You are the most amazing man ever born, Benedek Farkas.”

Chuckling at her, he shook his head. “I doubt that, but I’ll encourage you to mention it a time or two in front of my brothers if it makes you feel better.” Kissing the end of her nose lightly he stroked back her damp hair. “Next time we do something like this I’m going to mark you, Evangeline,” he warned softly.

She nodded and smiled up at him. “I hope that you will, Benedek. I want forever with you and the first step of that is to have you mark me.” She touched his chin lightly with her fingertip. “But I don’t want it to be here. I want it to be at our new home, please?”

Smiling at her, he nodded, dipping his chin to take her finger between his teeth. Scraping his teeth over her finger gently, he released her. “I can do that,” he told her softly sliding his fingers into her hair. “I love you, Angel,” he murmured kissing her gently.

“I love you, too, Benedek, for now however can we please get out of the shower? The water is turning cold.” She had a very small water heater and they had moved through all of the hot water with the pleasure he gave her.

Grinning, he reached up and turned the water off before dropping his hand to her cheek. Kissing her gently he nodded. “Up you go, woman,” he said helping her stand before getting to his own feet. Stepping out after her he snagged a towel and wrapped it around her, gently rubbing the soft cotton over her skin.

She was shivering, from both the cold and the pleasure he had given her. Grinning like a loon she said, “Need to get dressed and warm again, but my god, I really, really think that we will need to do that in the shower again, if you don’t mind?”

“Lucky for you I have a tankless water heater.” He grinned slightly at her. Wrapping the towel around her he kissed her gently. “Go and dress while I dry off, love, and then start deciding what you want to take with us today.”

“Oh, nice. Tankless, huh?” Sounded better and better to her, that was for certain. “I pretty much already know what I want to take with me.” She began to dry off her hair as she spoke. “I just got off the road so most of my stuff is all packed away and out in the truck.” Grabbing a couple of Q-tips, she cleaned the water out of her ears. Being prone to ear infections she didn’t dare leave water there. “I just need to repack my toiletries and we are all done.”

Staring at her as he paused in drying he blinked. “Damn,” he muttered. “Well, that will cut down on the time factor.” He grinned at her. “Means I can get you home all the faster.” And into his territory to better protect her.

She laughed and nodded. “Yeah, I guess that it will.” She shrugged. “Good thing about driving a big rig, you are ready to go at a moment’s notice at all times.” She smiled. “And we will be able to get home sooner, too.”

Moving to her he wrapped his arms around her and looked at her in the mirror, meeting her eyes. “I love you, Evangeline,” he said softly pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “Hurry up and gather your things, I have this sudden urge to get you home and strip you naked.” He grinned wickedly before stepping back and slapping her bottom gently.

A snort of laughter escaped her as she moved back to the bathroom to pull out her shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Putting the soap in a travel container, she grabbed her toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouth wash before moving back to the bedroom with the small leather pouch under her arm. “Are you ready?” she asked softly as she watched him.

Tucking his shirt in, he nodded, shoving his feet into his shoes. “I’m ready, a little wrinkled,” he said wrinkling up his nose. “But I’m more than ready.” Grabbing his jacket he moved to her and took her hand in his. “Come on, darling, time to start our life together,” he said with a smile lifting her hand and kissing her fingers lightly.

She squeezed his hand and smiled. “I really like how that sounds, to be able to start our lives together.” As they moved through the house she looked around. “We will grab my bag from the big rig that’s parked down at the back of the property and then I can follow you to our new home?” She would have preferred to ride with him, however, she didn’t want to not have a vehicle to leave when and if she had to go shopping or whatever.

It made sense, but he didn’t have to like it as he wouldn’t be able to see her first reactions to the house. Nodding he touched her arm. “Come on, honey, let’s grab your pack and head out, we can do breakfast out there and then I’ll let you meet the kids.” He grinned.

“The kids?” she asked with a small frown. “I didn’t know that you had children, Benedek.” She chewed her lips. “I’m not breaking up your relationship, am I?” How could she have been so foolish? She slept with a complete stranger and didn’t know if he was already with someone and now he said he had kids? She felt like crying, felt as if her world had ended.

Catching her chin he looked her in the eye. “Do I honestly look like the type of man who would sleep around, Evangeline?” he asked her, softly keeping eye contact. He wouldn’t say another thing until she answered him because it would tell him a lot.

“No. No you don’t look like that kind of man,” she admitted knowing that he wasn’t. “But you said that you have kids, Benedek. I don’t understand?” Evan was lost completely. In her heart she knew that he was simply not the kind of man to love ’em and leave ’em so to speak, but he had children, so how?

“I’m a Wolf, Angel,” he said slowly stroking his fingers over her cheek. “We like to have others of our kind around, we’re naturally pack animals. The ‘kids’ I was referring to are the pack of wild wolves that live on my lands and help with security.”

She felt weak-kneed but blushed madly. “You must think that I am pretty horrible, don’t you?” she asked. She had just simply jumped to the conclusion and didn’t even stop to think. “I just thought you had kids, and—” She stopped. “I should really shut up now shouldn’t I?”

Shaking his head he grinned. “No, love, I happen to love your voice, I really love your mouth, and I truly am absolutely mad about just what you can do with it. You didn’t know. You’ve been hurt, you have the right to be suspicious. But I don’t want you thinking that I’m like other men, human men, love. I’m a Wolf. My word is my honour and who I am. As an animal I don’t lie. In the animal world lies are useless.”

“And there is only one mate for a wolf.” She let the grin spread over her face. “And for you that’s me.” Which made her beyond happy. “I don’t want to drive separately, Benedek, do you think that it will be all right for me to come with you and when you leave, just bring me back by here so that I can get my truck?”

Smiling, he nodded. “I think we can manage that,” he told her softly. Leaning down he kissed her. “You are and always will be the one and only woman for me, Evangeline. I love you so much,” he breathed and kissed her again. “Let’s go get what you need and get moving.”

She smiled and nodded. “I love you, too, Benedek.” She pulled back from him and moved toward the truck and her pack that was still in the front cab. “Thank you for giving this to me, Ben.” She tugged the massive pack out, her five-foot frame hefting the duffle pack that was as large as she was out. “Thank you for understanding my need to be close to you.” She wasn’t ready to be without him yet, at all.

“You are welcome, darling,” he said watching her careful balancing act until she rejoined him, then he just couldn’t stand it. Taking the bag from her, he lightly smacked her fingers when she tried to take it back and put it over his shoulder as he picked up her other little bag. “Come on, love, time to book it.”

She gave him a dirty look and then shook her head. “I’ve never had someone carry my bags before, Benedek. I’ve never had someone taking care of me so it’s taking me a little while to get used to it.” And she loved the way it felt, to have someone watching out for her, caring for her so completely.

“Darling, I like doing those things, otherwise I’d be like the rest of the men on the planet and let you do it all yourself. I love you, I want to do things for you,” he said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. “I know it’s different and if I push too much just tell me please?” he asked softly.

“I like it,” she admitted, “I like it a lot, Benedek. I like that you care enough for me to want to do things for me, with me.” She licked her lips. “I love you, Benedek and I will tell you if something bothers me or hurts me in any way. However, this.” She grinned. “You being a gentleman doesn’t bother me. I want more.”

“Good.” He grinned down at her, kissing her forehead lightly. At his car he pulled open her door and held it until she slid in before he went to the trunk and put her bags inside. Settling in his seat he started the engine and, taking her hand, looked over. “Ready?” he asked as he slipped it into gear waiting on her before he pulled away.

She squeezed his hand and nodded. “I’m more than ready, Benedek, take me home, show me where we get to spend the rest of our lives at?”

Winking at her he pulled from the curb and drove through town sitting quietly and just enjoying having her at her side, her scent filling the space. After forty minutes he pulled through his gate and drove up and through the trees to the front of his house. “Welcome to Chez Farkas number two.” He grinned as he shut the car off and got out. Going around he collected her bags before giving her a hand up and out of the car.

She looked at the house and her eyes were wide. Looking back at him she asked, “All right, Ben, I have to ask, just what is it that you do for a living, other than own a bookstore?” Because he was clearly very, very loaded. “Because, honey, I’ve never met someone who lives in a mansion before, darling, and this”—she gestured with her hand—“is a mansion.” That it was the house of her dreams she left off, because it was, it was a home. It was a place to have a family, to raise children and know they would be safe and happy as they played outside and even inside.

“Darling, it’s just a house,” he said shaking his head. “Besides, I’ve been alive for two hundred years, love. I’ve learned a bit about stocks and such. I’ve had many business enterprises over the years and invested wisely.” He shrugged. “I had to put a little bit of it someplace and building the house I’d want to bring my mate to seemed to make the most sense.” Looking at her for a moment longer, he nudged her gently. “You ready to look at the inside, yet?” he asked with a grin.

“Is it as perfect for me inside as it is outside?” she asked as she turned to look at him. “Because so far, Ben, I have to tell you”—she squeezed his arm since he now held her bags—“this house is everything that I have ever dreamed of for a family residence, everything.”

Shrugging, he grinned and passed her the keys. “Let’s go and take a look, love,” he suggested following her happy skipping steps to the door. “Passcode is 1-9-5-6-3-0,” he told her as the alarm started to sound as they pushed into the house. When she disarmed it he hit the lights for the main foyer, the large chandelier of hand crafted glass in a multitude of white and blue hues throwing out light and put her bags down until later.

Chapter 3

She looked up at the chandelier and felt the very breath leave her body. “Benedek.” She felt weak, honest to god felt weak as she looked up at it and then around. “How long have you been in my dreams?” she whispered softly. “How long have you known the home I wanted to live in, the home that I needed for our family?” She was stunned, from the design on the wood floor to the colors of the wood on the wall, it was the home she had always dreamed of.

“You know the exact day I came into your dreams, darling,” he told her, moving to stand just at her back as she stared around. “I built the place forty years ago when you weren’t even born yet,” he pointed out gently. If she doubted him he’d show her the plaque that the construction crew had put in when the last nail had been driven into the home.
