He sits back in his seat and frowns at his hands on the steering wheel. What can I say? I'm not lying about seeing anyone that's just silly. I suppose I will have to tell him some truth now, I guess it could help towards finally telling him on Sunday. Sort of lessen the blow.

      "Finley is my son."

There I said it, fuck that felt good. I've been scared it was going to slip out all night. Jax hasn't said anything, I look across to him and he looks dazed at his hands still on the steering wheel. He looks calm enough but his knuckles are bright white telling me how tight his gripping it.

      "Jax?"

Again nothing. Well I know it's a shock but I thought he would be able to say something!

      "Right well bye."

I get up and fling the car door open in anger. Just before I slam the door I hear him speak.

      "Does he help you?"

I bend down so I can see him.

      "Who?"

   "His dad."

Fucking hell, think Kendal think!

"He doesn't know who his dad is,"

He frowns at me.

      "Do you?"

I can't believe he just asked me that! What the fuck? Yes I probably deserved to be shouted but not that. I'm not a slut.

      "Fuck you Jax. Fuck you!"

I slam the door and turn around quick and march up to my garden gate. I can hear Jax get out of his car and running  up to me but I don't want to see him. Fucking cheeky bastard. I feel him lightly grab my elbow.

     "Kendal, I'm sorry."

I just stand still waiting for him to let me go.

     "Kenny?"

God why does he have to use that nickname? I close my eyes and sigh heavily. I open my eyes and catch the blinds moving in my living room window.

"I know who he is but Finley doesn't. His never met him and no he doesn't help but that's because I chose it. Happy now?"

"What? No I'm not happy. How are you coping? Are you OK for money?"

I know he means well but it feels a little insulting.

"I'm fine. We're fine. Now can I go home now?"

He just nods silently. I feel his gaze on me as I walk through my garden and then knock on my door. I wait for Jessica to open the door but I'm surprised when it's Sam. I feel tears in my eyes and he grabs me in a strong hug then ushers me inside. Jessica takes my hand and leads me into my living room. I hear Sam say no and then hear the door shut. I'm so upset he would think that of me. We had such a good evening and now this, I only hope it doesn't effect the wedding. I tell Sam and Jessica everything, even the horrible last five minutes in the car. I am definitely not taking Finley to the wedding now. I only hope I'm not going to get more questions from Jax on who Finley's dad is.

~Jax~

When I get back home I go straight to the gym and start
punching the punch bag in the corner. What a fucking prick! I'm such a fucking idiot! I scream and shout as I punch, I haven't even bothered putting gloves on, I don't care. I don't blame Sam at all for turning me away from the door. Seeing her crying in his arms made me feel like shit. Why did I ask such a fucked up question? Of course she would know who her childs father is, I was just being a fuck up. I just wanted to follow her into her house but I was stopped. I could hear her crying when Sam shut the door in my face. When I got into my car I continually punched the steering wheel before I left.

      "Didn't go well then?"

I look over my shoulder and see Max standing there leaning against the doorframe.

"No it was fucking perfect. I just had to fuck it all up right at the end."

   "What happened?"

I stop punching and turn to face him. I wipe the sweat out my eyes.

      "She's got a son Max."

I watch his eyes go wide and I nod.

      "But that's not it."

I retell how it all went and I see Max get a little angry at me for what I said to Kendal. I don't blame him.

"Fucking hell. What you gona do?"

   "I duno."

I walk out the gym and know his following me.

"You need to settle it before Saturday."

I get my phone and dial Sophie. She tries to ask questions about how tonight went but I don't say anything. All I want to know is where Kendal works. I'm going to pay her a little visit tomorrow but before that I'm going to give her a few surprises.

Chapter 20

~Kendal~

At work the next day I feel slightly out of it. This morning I was text by Mark to look at the paper. On the local papers front page was a picture of me and Jax leaving Eclipse last night. He has his arm wrapped around my waist as were walking to his car. We're both laughing and we look really happy. He looks sexy as hell but I think I look average standing beside him. However the paper thinks otherwise.

Jax spent an intimate night with a local hottie

Local hottie? I scoff in disbelief and threw my IPad down on my bed. I didn't bother reading it. When I got to work I told Tanya everything there was to know about last night and she scowls when I tell her what Jax had to say. To be honest, I was really upset and angry last night but I'm sort of over it now. I'm just still trying to get used to the idea Jax, Rhys, Leo and Max are back and that I'm going to see them all tomorrow. She's more interested in my picture in the paper though, I've already received texts and missed calls of both my parents. Not only have my parents text me, I've gotten one off Harley too. He wasn't happy that he text me and I didn't answer because I was out with Jax Parker. He thinks I'm disrespectful that we have history together and I dropped him for someone else just because there famous. Obviously he knows nothing about Jax and me because I never told him so he also wants answers to that roomer too. Unlike me Tanya did read the paper, sh tells me all about what it said, that they think another main reason Jax returned home was because he was back together with his ex, meaning me. They made it out that we were young sweethearts and had a world wind romance and have found each other again. They think we back together and madly in love. Probably why I'm getting evil scowls across the room.

At 11:00 a woman walks in with a huge bouquet of red and purple tulips. Those and roses are my favourite flowers but I also know that tulips mean declaration of love. I wonder who the lucky lady is? She walks up to Bianca at the front and I see a younger girl carrying a bag too. Bianca looks and points at me and then the two women walk towards me. In a salon full of women they all watch them with huge smiles.

      "Kendal Moore?"

   "Erm...yes?"

The woman smiles warmly at me.

"So your the lucky lady. We have had strict orders to make sure you get these before 12:00. Where shall we put these?"

I glace at the girl behind her who is holding the bag. I haven't got a booking for another ten minutes so I take them into the staff room. I sign to say I received them and then they go. The younger girl gave me a letter and told me to read it as soon as I received it. I open the envelope and see it's hand written.

To Kendal,

I hope you like your gifts. I can't say how sorry I am for last night. Please forgive me. I don't know what I would do if you couldn't. When I saw you in Sams arms last night I felt like shit and I didn't mean to upset you. I was angry and I took it out on you. I'm not angry that you have a son, to be honest I think that's pretty cool. His a lucky boy, I know your a great mum. The reason why I was angry was because the thought of the childs father leaving you to deal with it all on your own pissed me off. I can't believe someone would do that to you. I won't say anything like that again, I promise. To be honest I was jealous too, I always thought it would be me and you, a family and all that. I'm glad we had a good time last night, I'm just sorry I spoilt it. Look forward to seeing you again

Love your Jax

xxxxx

I read and read it again before I even look in the bag. I fold it up and put it in my bag, Jax always used to send me notes or cute texts. He always could write down his feelings better especially after we had a little fight. I would always find a letter so I keep this one safe. It might seem sad but I kept all his old letters, I still have them now in an old shoe box in the back of my wardrobe well hidden. I will add this one to my collection. I can understand what happened last night better now and from his point of view. I love how he said I am a great mum but it also makes me feel sad. He will get to experience bing a parent soon enough. I'm actually looking forward to telling him now, even though I am scared of how he will take it. The line I keep reading over again in my mind is when he wrote about he was jealous because he always thought it would be us two together to have kids. I try not to cry and take a peak in the bag. There's a big heart
shaped box of chocolates, a teddy bear but what makes me tearful is the last item I see. In a silver frame is an old picture of us together. Leo's rich step brother had his own house in Marbella so one summer I went along with the band, I was close to Rhys, Max and Leo anyway. The picture is of me and Jax on the beach, his stood behind me, his arms wrapped around me and his head resting on the side of mine. My bright red hair is blowing in the breeze and I have a big smile on my face because I can remember laughing at Leo while Max took the photo. Jax is grinning at the camera to and he looks so happy. We both look ridiculously happy, if I'm honest we look really good together. I can't believe he still has this photo. I still have it on my phone and a lot more of us together but I didn't think Jax would keep them.

It's now 12;00 and I'm just in the middle of cutting a girls hair. Tanya came to get me when my next booking had been waiting and I hadn't come out the staff room. I was sitting there smiling with tears in my eyes at the photo Jax gave me. Luckily her hair was quick because I had another booking at 11:45. I'm busy giving the customers hair some choppy layers when I hear Tanya who's next to me gasp. I look to her and she's staring at the door so I look over to. Oh fucking hell, standing in the reception area staring at me is Jax. His wearing gray skinny jeans with the chain dangling on one side, black tight t-shirt and red high top converse. It's a warm day today so he has no jacket on and I can see the shape of his chest and muscles. His smiling at me and dam him with that sexy smile has made my nice clean underwear all moist with my juices again. What this man does to me with just a look. I snap myself out of it and finish of the customers hair. She's about nineteen and is gushing over seeing Jax who has now been taken to the safety of the staff room. Although some of the girls have disappeared in there so I don't know how safe he actually is so Bianca and Tanya went in there to save him. The girl has obviously put it all together.

"Oh my god your the girl who's with Jax in the paper. I need a picture with you and then I can tell all my friends I had my hair cut by Jax's girlfriend!"

I don't bother correcting her and she asks Lucy, a girl I work with, to take a picture of us both before she goes. I breath a sigh of relief and then remember Jax is in the staff room. When I walk in it's not as bad as I thought although that's probably because Tanya is guarding him so well. Bianca has told him I have an hour lunch break today so he wants to take me out for something to eat, I agree to get him out of here. He holds my hand as we walk to his shiny sports car and a few flashes go of across the road but I don't look up. Paparazzi here, really? We're just going into his car! Obviously I'm not used to all this celebrity stuff. I'm not going to look as nice in that snap than the one from last night seeing as I'm in my uniform. He pulls up outside a Subway and we quickly run in. We're back in his car ten minutes later and I'm left wondering where we are going. He pulls up in front of the huge park near my house. It a massive park, lots of green grass, little lakes and ponds darted around the area. Trees and bushes separate little areas and there's a little park where I take Finley. Unless it's absolutely jam packed with people on a weekend you don't really see anyone here so I understand why he has brought us here. When he opens my door he gives me a shy smile.
