Chapter 1

“Hi, Sue.  Before Cassie comes in tell her that her first assignment is to pick me up a grande cappuccino next door before she comes in, thanks.”

Jason hung up his phone and returned back to his computer, furiously typing away. After about ten minutes, he called the receptionist, Sue, again.

“Sue, is she here yet?”

“I see her walking in now, sir.”

He hung up again and took a peak from his office desk. A mid-twenties girl came strutting over to his office, escorted by Sue. She held a cup of coffee and walked right into Jason’s office.

“Hello, my name is Cassie,” she held out her hand.

“Hi.  Jason,” he replied, shaking her hand from across his desk and took his coffee. “I’ll meet you in your office in the room next to mine in a few minutes.”

Cassie obediently left and Jason returned to his computer. He took a phone call and replied to one more e-mail and met Cassie in her office.

She sat at her desk for a moment and took a look around the room.  Jason walked in as she was adjusting a picture on the wall. She didn’t notice him at first, as her back was facing him.

Jason couldn’t help but notice how her blouse hugged her curves perfectly. Her torso led down to the skirt she wore, accentuating her hips and his eyes traveled down her legs to her shoes. He caught himself admiring her for a second too long when she turned around.

“Oh, hi!” she exclaimed, surprised by his presence.

“Hello,” Jason cleared his throat. “So as a Secretary, you must be available to me at all times. I will give you a schedule that you must follow and there are times built in to report back to me at various periods throughout the day. It’s important you follow the schedule to the exact minute.”

Cassie shook her head and sat back down at her desk.

“Start by reading over that manual on your desk and come back to me when you finish.”

Jason began walking out and stopped just as he was passing the doorframe.

“Oh, and I like sugar in my cappuccinos for next time.”

Jason went back to his office and closed his door.  He attempted to pick his work up again but could not keep his mind off of his new secretary.

He had never seen a girl—a woman—so beautiful before.  She had a real body; she didn’t have the type of body most twenty-somethings were brainwashed into thinking was so important. She had real curves, bright red lipstick that complimented her fair skin, and loosely curled hair. Her whole package was irresistible.

Jason, being the owner of several investment companies, was always busy. He worked many hours in the week and never had much time to himself. He had only been out of college for about eight years but was soon ready to retire.

His younger brother was going to take over in his position so he wasn’t too worried about the company. He just needed to get through the end of this year and that was it.

Everything was running smoothly until his former secretary quit unexpectedly which forced him to hire Cassie.  However, he wasn’t feeling so angry with that so much anymore.

After lunch, he glanced at his schedule. Cassie was supposed to meet him several minutes ago. He dialed her extension on his phone and put it on speakerphone.

“Hello?” her voice echoed through his office.

“Where are you?”

“I’ll be right over, sir.”

Jason could hear Cassie as she rushed to pull out her chair and run to the door. She arrived at his door fully composed, smiling.

“You were supposed to be here one minute ago. We are not late for anything in this building, understood?”

Cassie looked down at the ground and tucked her hair behind her ear.

“Yes, sir.”

“Now close the door and come sit down.”

Cassie turned to shut the door and Jason tried to keep his eyes at his desk but he couldn’t help but to gaze up at her as she turned to close the door.  He took a deep breath and loosened his tie. Cassie walked over to the chair in front of Jason’s desk and sat down, crossing her legs.

Jason wasn’t even sure what he was about to tell her but he thought quickly. There was some extra work that needed to be done that hasn’t been touched in years. He could make her do that.  That would require long hours in the office together.

“Cassie, I’m going to need you to do a little overtime work. There are files that need to be converted on the computer and client records that need to be organized. This will begin tomorrow night.”

“Okay,” she replied, failing to make eye contact. His icy blue eyes made her blush. She tried to focus on his shirt instead but that just made her imagine what his buff chest might look like underneath the shirt and tie.

Nothing she did allowed her to properly focus. She tugged at her shirt, as if it would hide herself more. She wished she had chosen a more loose-fitting shirt that day. This one was definitely too tight on her.

Chapter 2

The following night, everyone left the office around 7:00, leaving Cassie and Jason there alone. Jason changed into jeans and a plaid shirt, making sure to leave the first few buttons unbuttoned.  He walked into her office and offered Cassie a small smile.

“You ready?”

Cassie looked up at him and was surprised at his change in outfit. His plaid shirt fit around his arms and shoulders perfectly to show off his physique. His jeans were a dark wash and sat comfortably on his narrow waist.  She stopped herself from her fantasizing.

“Yes, I am ready, sir.”

She stood up, attempting to control her shaking body, nervous that they were the only two in the office. When she stepped forward, her foot caught on her purse nestled against her desk and she tripped. The next thing she knew, she was on the ground.  Jason ran up to her.

“Are you okay?” he asked as he lifted her to sit up. She could feel the muscles in his arms against her back.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I just didn’t see my purse there,” she laughed at herself, blushing even more.

“It’s all right, it’s fine,” Jason told her. “Just take a second to catch your breath.”

Jason found himself feeling more nurturing than usual. He rubbed her back a little, which wasn’t helping Cassie calm down at all. He looked down at Cassie as she cupped her face in her hands.

“Come on, let’s go into the conference room,” he beckoned to her and helped her up off of the ground.

They both stood up and walked into the conference room.  There was a computer at the end of the table and paper files that were stacked next to it.  They both took a seat; Cassie was caught off guard when Jason chose to sit at the chair directly next to her.

Jason began explaining the procedure for the files to Cassie.  He tried to sound as professional and business-like as possible as to stay focused on the work that needed to be accomplished, but his thoughts still returned to Cassie.

She sat there listening to him, nodding her head and asking questions.  Her hair kept falling in her face and she eventually tied her hair back, accentuating her cheekbones and allowing her hazel almond-shaped eyes to be more visible.

Cassie forced every ounce of her effort into focusing on what Jason was saying, but she continuously found herself focusing more on his lips and how smoothly they moved when he spoke, imagining what they felt like.

She loved the stubble on his cheeks and how his hair was always gelled over to the side for a clean look.  His voice swam through her ears like a lullaby.

He spoke with his hands a lot, waving them in front of him.  They were big, masculine hands and she was sure they were strong. He wore his college class ring on his right ring finger that sat nicely under his knuckle.

“Now, let me show you the files over here,” Jason said as he stood up from his chair, lightly brushing against Cassie’s leg.

Cassie stood up to follow him but she lost her balance again and just as she was about to fall backwards, Jason caught her.  She looked up at him and he held her for a moment. Their eyes met and they remained there, frozen.

“I’m a little clumsy today,” Cassie lightly laughed.

“It’s okay, I’ve got you.”

They continued to lock their eyes. Jason guided her hips with his hands to turn around to face him and he slowly slid his hands up onto her waist.

She worked through her thumping heartbeat to raise her arms and place her hands over his forearms, feeling his muscles tense under his shirt.  They both looked into each other’s eyes, down to the other’s lips, and back up again.  Jason leaned in, closed his eyes and their lips met.

They both drew in a deep breath. Cassie wrapped her hands around Jason’s neck and moved them to rest on the side of his neck. Jason slid his hands up and down Cassie’s waist taking in those curves he had been craving.

Jason turned Cassie so she was pushed against the wall and rested one hand on the wall behind her, holding Cassie in place.

They stayed intertwined, exploring each other’s bodies. Cassie pushed Jason forward and twirled him around so his back was against the wall.  They remained passionately kissing, their breaths quickening with every movement.

After several more seconds, Cassie began to unbutton the first button on Jason’s shirt that was still fastened. She pulled the little button out of its place and exposed Jason’s smooth chest even more.  She started working on the next button.

“Wait, Cassie,” Jason said, catching his breath.

“Oh, what’s wrong?” Cassie asked, removing her hands from his buttons.

“I think the custodial staff comes in soon.”

Cassie sighed and kept her hands hugging his waist.

“Okay, maybe next time,” Cassie winked at Jason.

Chapter 3

The next morning Jason and Cassie arrived at work, and after about an hour, Jason knocked on Cassie’s door. He walked in and shut the door behind him. Cassie’s heart began to flutter in anticipation for whatever was about to happen.

“Cassie,” Jason began. “You don’t have to do any overtime tonight.  Instead, take tonight off and how about tomorrow night I make us a nice dinner at my place since it’s Friday?”

Cassie smiled down at the floor at the thought.  Just a day ago she was afraid of the man who was asking her on a date.

“I would love to.”

Jason walked around her desk and leaned down to Cassie. He held her cheeks with his hands and kissed her slow and soft, cherishing every moment of their touch. Cassie wrapped her arms around his neck and stood up, continuing the kiss.  Cassie thought the kiss felt different now.

Last night, it was exciting and almost lustful, but at that moment she felt that Jason’s kiss was nothing but genuine and loving. He looked at her straight in her eyes when they pulled away, not breaking contact for several moments and Jason offered her a kind smile.

“Now get to work,” Jason told her as he tapped her booty.

The rest of the day dragged on and both of their minds were not focused on anything but their date for the following evening. They passed each other in the halls of the office and politely nodded or did the “how’s it going?” as naturally as humanely possible so as to not give away anything to their coworkers.

The following day passed even more slowly for the two. Jason held off visiting Cassie in her office as long as he could since he knew once he did, the rest of the day would be filled even more with thoughts of his beautiful secretary.  Finally, around 1:00, he couldn’t help himself.  He stood up from his desk and marched right into Cassie’s office.

When he first entered, Cassie was hard at work, typing at her computer and only looked up for a moment for a quick smile and mumbled hello.  Jason closed the door behind him again and walked behind her, massaging her shoulders as she typed.

“How are you today?” he asked.

“I’m alright, what’s up?”

“Just wanted to stop in and say hello, that’s all.”

Cassie continued typing, adding on to the e-mail she was replying to.  She was silent and acted as if she didn’t fully notice that Jason was in the room.

“What’s wrong, Cass?” Jason asked as he kissed her cheek.

Cassie nervously smiled and finally stopped typing.  She turned around and looked at Jason, her eyes glassy and fighting tears.

“I’m moving. Far.”

Jason’s eyes widened and he knelt down to her level.

“What do you mean, you’re moving?”

“I never got to really tell you but I’ve applied to go back to school and I just received the acceptance letter last night.”

Tears began streaming down her cheeks and she stared at Jason, anticipating his response.

“Well that’s wonderful,” he said as he caressed her leg.  “Congratulations.  What school are you going to?”

“It’s in England.”

Cassie turned around for a tissue on her desk and wiped her tears.

“Cassie, it’s okay, you don’t have to cry.  That’s great that you’re going back to school.”

“But I want to be close to you.”

“Cassie, we’ll figure it out. Don’t worry about that now. Are you still interested in coming over tonight?”

“Yeah,” Cassie replied through her tears.

Jason held on to both of her knees, kneeling in front of her and leaned forward to kiss her.  She couldn’t get enough of his sweet soft kisses.
