Setting her purse on the now cleaned off desktop she asked “So where are the timesheets?”

“I’ll get the log book” He said and headed out to the shop.

Sitting down at the desk she opened up the bookkeeping software and went to the payroll portion.  It was blank, no employee data existed.
Great.

Bobby entered the office holding a spiral bound notebook in his hand and walked around behind the desk.  He bent over where she sat, invading her space completely and sat the notebook down in front of her.  He placed one hand on the back of the chair she sat in and with the other reached around her and opened up the notebook.  A hand drawn chart indicating each person’s name and how many hours they had worked each day for a two week period was written on the page.

“You’re kidding right?” She asked

Bobby scowled at her and then opening a drawer in the desk produced a calculator, a checkbook and a tax chart which he also placed in front of her.

“We can use printer paper to calculate taxes and stuff.  When we’re done the paper and timesheets go in this binder which I give to the accountant.” He said handing her a binder from on top of a filing cabinet.

“Why don’t you use the computer to do this and print out the checks?” She asked.

He stared at her and she flushed at his dark gaze.

“Can you give me some basic information about your employees?  I will enter it in the computer and the program will figure out all the tax information.  You will still have to handwrite their checks until we can order some for the printer but it should speed this process up significantly.” She said looking anywhere but in his eyes.

For the next half hour he sat on the edge of the desk and gave her all the information on his employees he had.  After she entered in the information he gave her she then entered in the amount of hours each employee worked and was able to give him the amount each person’s check should be.

She watched as he went through his normal routine of figuring out his employee’s pay by hand.  After having done one employee and coming up with the same amount the program had, he glanced at her and then began writing out the checks.

“I will back track based on the timesheets and information I find in the binder and enter as much information as I can so when it comes time to pay taxes for your employees the system will tell you how much is owed.” She said

He continued to stare at her so again she looked away.

After several minutes of awkward silence she continued “I started doing your accounts receivable as that is what you will owe taxes on.  Once I get that caught up I will start on the accounts payable.  Once I have a better idea of what is coming in and going out, we can sit down and compare it to your bank statements and balance.”

More silence.  The awkwardness grew and she could not seem to keep quiet.

“I may need to order office supplies because I didn’t notice any file folders or labels, I’m not sure there’s even a stapler.” She said wishing he would say something.

Handing her the payroll checks he then headed to the door of the office.  “We can work until noon and then call it a day” He said as he exited the office.

After sitting stunned at his silence for several minutes, she shook it off and got to work.  Time seemed to pass way too quickly and a couple hours later she had managed to sort through the stacks of paper on the counter attached to the desk.  Other than the overhead shelves of the desk, it was completely cleaned off and sorted into one of the four piles she had started.

“Good morning Miss Lilly. Did Bobby leave you here yesterday?” Dickie asked coming through the door to the office.

“No, actually he offered me a job so I thought I’d come in today and get a jump start on things.” She smiled

“Wow, you’ve done wonders in less than a day… do you clean houses too?” He
teased.

She smiled and handed him his check as the younger guy who’d worked on her car came through the doorway with another man who looked as rough as Dickie and Bobby.

“The boy is Chuck and the ugly one is Tommy” Dickie advised her

“It’s nice to meet you both, I’m Lilly” She smiled.

The two newcomers stared at her and then at the desk as she handed them each their check.  Chuck again looked like the all American boy except for the tattoos as he wore jeans and a t-shirt with a ball cap on his head.  Tommy much like Dickie wore jeans that rode low on his hips with black work boots and a t-shirt and looked to be in the same motorcycle club with the tattoos and gruff appearance.

Tommy was good looking in a tousled kind of way with untamed blonde hair and light brown eyes.  He appeared to be in his early thirties, around the same age as her.

“Thanks for the check, are you working here now?” Tommy asked with a grin.

“Yea, I just got hired and started today… trying to get things organized.” She replied

“Well, good luck with that…” Chuck said sarcastically.

“Well as much as I’d like to bless you all with my presence a little longer I got to use the shitter and get to work on Miss Lilly’s car.  Either of you dumbasses want to stay and give me a hand?” Dickie asked the two men.

“I’m heading to the bank and then I have to pick up Gretchen from the sitter.” Tommy said heading out the door “Nice to meet you Lilly.”

“I have to make it to the bank before they close but I can give you hand for a few.” Chuck offered.

With that both men headed back out to the garage.  She made a list of the bare items she would need to order from the office supply store and then sat down to enter in back payroll information.  What seemed like only minutes later, Chuck stuck his head in and told her he was leaving.

“I made individual time sheets for all you guys.  When you come in to work from now on would you mind to write down the time you came in and then right down the time you leave?” She asked handing him his time sheet.  “You can keep them up here in these mail slots along with the pink copy of the invoices you filled out that day.  Do you mind?”

“You might just do ok here Miss Lilly” Chuck smiled taking the timesheet from her and filling in the required information and then putting it in the top mail slot.  “Catch ya later” he finished.

Dickie entered as Chuck was leaving and after explaining the timesheet and invoice request to him as well he advised her that they would simply have to wait on the starter to come in.

“I’m sorry… I was hoping to get it going at least through the weekend but that’s not going to happen.  You could probably borrow the truck, but you’d have to check with Bobby since it’s his.” He said “Anyways, I’ll see ya on Monday then I guess.”

She worked for a while longer until she heard or rather
felt
Bobby enter the office.  Walking over to the desk and leaning his hip against it he stared at her.
Those eyes!
She had to get a hold of herself; she didn’t date roughnecks… ever!  Darren had been a sophisticated business man on top of his game.  This man was the exact opposite.

“So you got a timesheet for me?” He finally asked.

“You’re the boss, you don’t need one.” She said trying to ignore his closeness.

Moving even closer to her he picked up the list of office supplies she had made and studied it for a moment.

“You busy this afternoon?” He asked as he looked over the list.

“My sister works tonight so I was just going to relax and maybe read a little.  Did you need me to stay a while longer?  I don’t mind, there’s so much to do…” She answered looking around the office at the piles of papers she hadn’t even touched yet.

“I thought we could grab some lunch and hit up the office supply store.  Maybe find you some jeans.” He smirked.  “Though I
will
miss the skirts” His dreams had been full of her in her professional looking skirt lying across this very desk...head throw to the side in ecstasy from the feel of his mouth on her.  Feeling his dick react to his wondering thoughts, he tried to focus on something else.

“Do my outfits bother you?” She asked

“More than you know” He said staring at her.

His intense stare and the things he said… wow!
She noticed his gaze moved from her eyes to her lips.  Unable to stop the blush she felt crawling up her cheeks she cleared her throat and said “I think I can make some time for the office supply store as it will make my new job a lot easier.”

She was getting much more comfortable riding the motorcycle and was surprised to find she was disappointed when he opted to take the truck instead.  Though it made more sense considering there would be bags of office supplies, she enjoyed the wind on her face…
and the feel of Bobby in her arms.
Shoving those thoughts aside she hopped up in the truck.

After enjoying a sandwich at a local Deli they headed to the office supply store where she got the items she would need to better organize the office.  Having thought ahead to write down the last check number in the checkbook she was able to order a small amount of checks for the software program.  She could order more online using his company’s logo…
if he had one.

She was surprised when they pulled into a large shopping mall.  After parking the truck he turned to her and said “I’ll meet up with you in a little while, I need to get a few things.”

Maybe he was serious about the jeans instead of skirts comments.  He was so hard to read.

More than you know”.

She hadn’t missed the heated tone of those words and the look in his eyes.  Darren had been a gentleman when they had dated and though he had flirted with her, it had been more with flowers and gifts.  This man flirted in a way she was not only unfamiliar with but unprepared to handle.

They parted ways and she headed into Macy’s and with the help of a saleslady was able to find several pairs of jeans and a few blouses that she thought might do for her new work environment.  Heading to the fitting room she tried on one of the outfits and stepped out to look in the three way mirror right inside the doorway to the dressing room.  As she approached the mirror she glanced out the doorway and was surprised to see Bobby standing there, propped up against the entrance.

His dark stare
made her want to shrink back into one of the dressing stalls.  After a few moments he twirled a finger indicating she should turn around and model the new outfit for him.  Feeling a little unsure in clothing that was not her normal style she did as he had silently requested.

“Slower” He murmured upon her turning in a complete circle.

Oh God.
Somehow simply modeling an outfit for him had charged the air between them and as she slowly circled again she glanced over her shoulder at him.  His gaze swept her backside and it felt as intimate as if he were looking at her naked.  She fought the urge to run back to the dressing area and completed the turn.  After he did not say anything she glanced up and met his heated gaze.

“Better?” She asked feeling insecure from his scrutiny.

Stepping through the doorway into the women’s dressing area he approached her.  She swallowed hard as he reached up and pulled the flowered hair comb out that she had used to pull her hair into a twist.

Handing it to her he then ran his fingers through her hair shaking it loose so that it fell around her shoulders.  His hands were like a brand that burned her with a delicious heated sensation that seemed to travel the entire length of her body.

“I’m not sure which is less tempting… your bare legs and thighs in those smokin’ hot skirts you wear or these jeans that show off every inch of you.” He said

“Yum” a woman standing a few feet away from them said.

Embarrassment that his comments had been overheard heated her cheeks and glancing away from him she said “You shouldn’t be in here.  I need to change… I’ll be right out.”
