her heart had just been ripped out. He didn’t want her? What was he

talking about? He was so loving and passionate last night. He flew

here for her, and asked her to marry him. Why was he being so

different now? What had happened in the last few hours that made

him change his mind?

“You don’t mean that!” she barely spit out. Liam closed his

eyes and cursed himself for what he was about to say.

“Yes, I do. I thought about it last night, and we just don’t have

anything in common. I need something else, someone else, who likes

the things I like.”

“What are you talking about, Liam? Where is this coming

from?”

“Do I have to spell it out for you, Norah?”
“Yeah, I guess you do!” He swallowed hard. He knew this was

it, there was no going back. If he really wanted to push her away this

was going to do it. She would never forgive him.

“I want someone a little more adventurous in bed. I want

someone who will let me tie her up, and spank her ass, fuck her ass

even. I want someone who will suck me off while my friends watch.

Too bad really, I paid a lot of money for you and my investment just

didn’t pan out. Honestly, I just don’t want to own you. And I don’t

think I will ever be able to look at you and not think of you as

something I bought!” Norah’s face was covered in tears, but she

could see Liam was having a hard time saying these words to her.

She knew what he was trying to do, she just didn’t know why.

“Stop hiding behind this stupid lifestyle of yours! You don’t

mean any of the things you just said! You’re just being an asshole

and trying to get me to hate you!” Norah saw the tears rolling down

Liam’s cheek.
“If you were so convinced that what you said was true, you

wouldn’t be crying! I don’t know what made you change your mind

last night, I have done everything you asked of me and even things

you didn’t! I told you I was open to learn about the things you liked

to do. But if you don’t want me, all you have to say is that you don’t

want me! You don’t have to create this crock of shit to make me hate

you!” She walked closer to him and grabbed his chin to force him to

look at her.

“Look at me!” she yelled and he slowly raised his eyes to her.

They were red, and swollen. His tears were streaming down his face.

“Say it to my face, and I’ll walk out of here and never look back!”

“I can’t,” he mumbled and shook his head. “I can’t say it

again.”

“Because you know it isn’t true! You love me and I love you,

you stupid mother fucking asshole! What? Now that I am standing in

front of you, calling you out on your bullshit, you can’t close the

deal?” Norah had no idea where she got the nerve from.
Normally she would never even think of talking to him like

this. She was sure he would slap her or punish her in some way. But

she wasn’t taking any chances. If she had to provoke him to get him

to tell her the truth she would. He had crossed the pond for her and

now he was backing away for some reason. “I want to be with you. I

am leaving my family willingly to be with you. I want to be a part of

your world. So if you don’t want this anymore say it to my face.”

She didn’t know why, but the reasons he gave were bullshit

and she knew it. Liam looked up at her and his eyes had turned cold.

He looked like the man she first met in the basement. He looked like

the man that had forced her to jerk him off, and spanked for trying

to kill herself. Her sweet, kind, compassionate, Liam was gone and

the cold hearted bastard was back.

“I think you made your point, little one. But let’s not get to

brave, and force me to do something I don’t want to do.” He

grabbed both of her arms and pushed her against the wall.
“That little mouth of yours has gotten you in trouble more

than once. You should shut it now, if you know what’s good for you,

and just let me leave.”

“Leave then,” she said. Liam let her go and stepped back. He
turned away from her, grabbed his bags and walked out the door.
