“Fuck,” he growled. His mouth came down hard on mine, keeping his body up off me, like he had to do something or explode right there. I moaned into his mouth, loving his dirty talk, loving that I was pulling out the primal side of him.

“First things first,” he said, breaking free of my mouth, dragging his lips down my jaw and neck, teasing where the sheet lay across my breasts.

“Oh, God, don’t make me beg,” I said. I fisted his hair in my fingers as he kissed his way down, pushing the sheet along, taking one of my nipples between his fingers as he licked it.

Oh, fuck me twice, that sent a shot of electricity straight to ground zero and I arched my back, crazy noises coming from my throat as he continued the delicious torture back and forth between each of my breasts before rising and coming back to my mouth with slightly less control.

He made love to my mouth, losing his battle to stay off me, one hand sliding up my exposed thigh to pull me to him. I wrangled my other leg out and wrapped all of me around him, unable to let go, clinging to him like there was no other option. Finally close enough to taste him, my mouth had its way, licking, tasting, following my hands as I explored the skin I’d been denied. The rush changed. Still with the maddening heat of carnal craziness, but more. It was a need to be one with him, to give and give and—oh, sweet Jesus, he started heading south again.

I was shaking with desire, and when he passed Go so that his kisses could slowly, softly work up my thighs, I didn’t think I’d survive the trip.

“Mmm, Savanna” he said, flicking his tongue over me.

I cried out and grabbed his head. “Oh, God.”

“No, just Duncan,” he said, lifting my leg a little more to dive deeper, licking, sucking, oh—fuck me, I was there, it was there, my body was shaking violently.

“Let it go, baby,” he said, the vibration of his words against me nearly sending me over.

“Oh, fuck, Duncan, that’s—”

“That’s what?” he said, jarring me again, playing with me. “Right here?”

That tongue hit the spot at double speed, and I was off, howling at the fucking moon, arching almost in half, one hand gripping his hair and the other pulling the mattress apart, rocking against his mouth with all I had.

When I let go of his head, he kissed his way back up, languishing on my sensitive nipples, making me groan.

“That was unexpected,” I breathed against his mouth.

“That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen—heard—anything,” he said.

“Better than watching me eat?” I said.

“Only marginally.”

I smiled and pulled his towel away. “It’s about to get better.”

I didn’t know what his plan was or if there was one but I managed to roll us over so that I was flat on his chest, inching my way down. I kissed the line of his abs, reveling in the quickness of his breathing as I rubbed my body along his dick while I tasted my way in that direction.

His fingers tangled in my hair, pushing me down in spite of himself. “God, Savanna, you make me—”

“Shhh,” I said, sliding back along him the other way as I came back to his lips, bringing a string of curses under his breath. “Not so fast, baby, don’t skip ahead.”

He laughed. “You’re wicked.”

“You’re delicious.”

I let my breasts drag back down his body as I held his eyes, and it was the sexiest, most intimate moment I could ever remember. When I’d passed my destination, I gave him a little wink and kissed my way back up, my lips and tongue working together as he tensed and growled and grabbed my head.

When I took him all the way into my mouth, Duncan came off the bed, fingers pulling at my hair.

“Savan—Savanna,” he moaned. “Savi!” At my nickname he’d never used, I looked up. “Baby, that’s too good, I won’t last,” he said, looking like he was at the brink. “Come here,” he croaked, pulling me up, his eyes heavy-lidded with desire now. “I need you.”

“Hmm, a little double standard, maybe?” I said, moving against his dick.

“Probably won’t be the last time,” he said, his voice strained.

The friction was making me dizzy for a second time. “That’s okay,” I said. “I’ll take it.” Lifting up, I lowered myself onto him as he dug his fingers into my hips and let his head roll back.

“Oh—fuck—Savanna,” he groaned, struggling for a full breath. “God, baby, you feel so good.”

I was trying to find air, myself, and when he started moving my hips up and down, a low sound of ecstasy rolled from my chest on up.

“Duncan,” I breathed, closing my eyes, moving with him, unable to imagine a time when I thought he was too vanilla or mild. He lit me up from the inside out.

I rested my forehead against his and rocked up and down until we were both trembling with the build. “I need more of you, baby,” he said. “Hold on to me.”

I did as he flipped us over, laying me on my back. Lifting one of my legs over his shoulder, he plunged in deeper and I fisted the sheet underneath me, crying out in pleasure.

Faster and faster he nailed me, harder and harder, and I felt the pressure growing deep in my core. “Savanna,” he growled when my legs tensed up, drawing up tightly. “Are you close?”

I couldn’t speak as the waves crashed over me. I could only hold on and moan as the ride punished me, pulling another mind-fucking orgasm out of me like it was from the other side of the world.

That’s all it took for him. The moment my cries hit the air, he let go of his own crazed roar, slamming it out of him with every thrust.

We moved on automatic mode until we couldn’t move another inch, and then we just laid there, intertwined in limbs and sheets, sweaty and depleted and completely satisfied.

“I’ll get off you in a second,” he said finally, trying to catch his breath.

“No rush,” I said. My muscles were toast, my bones were liquefied. Another two hundred pounds crushing down on me didn’t matter.

“And here I thought I was in shape,” he said, pushing up onto his elbows. “You have proven otherwise.”

“Hey, don’t be blaming me,” I said. “I was perfectly happy to do all the work there, but noooo, you had to drive.”

“I did,” he said. “I admit it. You made me fucking crazy.” He looked down into my eyes. “I didn’t hurt you, did I? I know I got kinda rough.”

“No,” I said on a chuckle. “If you missed the signs, I kinda like it like that.”

“I noticed.”

I grimaced. “Is that bad?”

“Hell no, that was hot,” he said. “Just watching you lose it the first time . . .” He shook his head. “I completely went off the rails after that. I would do anything you wanted at that point just to see that again.”

“You made me that way,” I said. “Good God, you walked out in that towel and I think I had a mini stroke.”

He chuckled and rolled to one side, pulling me with him to lie on his chest. “Woman, you have black sheets,” he said.

I snuggled against him and looked up at his profile, looking sedate with a small smile and closed eyes.

“And?”

“If you could have seen yourself all naked and curled up in these black sheets, you would have stopped breathing like I did.”

It felt amazing, lying there with Duncan. Snuggled in my bed like a couple.

I liked it. I liked it a lot.

“I can go slow, too, you know,” I said.

His smile grew, eyes still closed. “Hmm, think so?”

“I know so,” I said.
Didn’t I?

“Good, because the next time is on my plan,” he said, opening one eye to check me out.

I smirked. “You have a plan?”

Had
one,” he said. “You blew it up in the first five seconds.”

“What?”

He laughed. “I always had this idea of what our first time would be like.”

I raised an eyebrow, not that he could see it. “You thought about our first time?”

“Since the first day we met,” he said, turning and looking down at me. “I told you. you weren’t the only one smitten.”

Smitten.
That was officially now the most adorable word in the world.

“So how did you picture it?” I said, running my fingers along his chest.

He reached over with his other hand and moved a lock of hair out of my eyes, an intimate move that sent a trail of goose bumps down my spine.

“Something romantic maybe, sexy and intimate, like that night in front of my fireplace.”

That was hot. He was right.

“I thought about it that night, but I’d worn ugly underwear so I wouldn’t be tempted.”

A laugh, deep and throaty, rumbled from his chest. “Seriously?”

“It’s an old girl’s trick to not be easy on the first date,” I said.

“Damn, I never knew that one,” he said, still chuckling.

“Well, you have to know the handshake to be in on the secrets,” I said.

“So, you’re up for slow, huh?” he said, eyeing me again.

“I could be up for slow,” I said. “I mean, are we talking filing my nails in between kisses slow, or what?”

He pulled me on top of him effortlessly, making me gasp. Well, well.

“I’m talking making love to you inch by inch, kissing you into tomorrow, and teasing you until you truly do beg,” he said, his blue eyes darkening. “And if you pull out a fingernail file, I’ll spank your ass with it.”

Nothing but a shaky sigh came out of my mouth, and he grinned.

“Damn, did I just actually render you speechless?” he said softly.

I traced his lips with my finger.

“You’re doing things to me I never expected.”

Chapter Twenty-five

Slow was good.

That was a sentence and a sentiment I never in a million years thought I’d say, but then I was never with someone as talented and thorough as Duncan. Oh—my—God.

It was evening when I woke up with a start and looked to my left to find him sound asleep.

“He sleeps,” I whispered, in awe of how good he looked even in sleep. I hoped he never had to watch me. I’d woken myself up enough times snorting or snoring or drooling with my mouth wide open to know he would not be awed.

I left the bed and pulled on a pair of shorts and a tank top to go find food, realizing I hadn’t eaten since the cupcake I’d snatched from Missy’s goodie box that morning. My God, there had been a lot of day since then. Seeing an old pair of gray sweatpants in the back of the drawer, I pulled them out and laid them on the bed at Duncan’s feet. Just in case he woke up.

I padded down the hall to where Gracie glared at me from the couch. Coming home and then ignoring her to lock myself in the bedroom for hours was not her idea of good manners. Doing so with her favorite doctor just added multiple insults to injury.

I snatched a probably-stale cupcake from the box on the kitchen counter and joined her on the couch. “I’ll share, baby girl,” I said, breaking her off a piece.

Her tail thumped twice as she swallowed it whole and licked my fingers. Something to be said for instant forgiveness. I pulled my legs under me and winced a little. Something to be said for contortionist monkey sex, too. I felt very used, in a very good way.

My stomach tightened as I thought about the last several hours in Duncan’s arms. It had felt so real. More real than I’d known in a very long time. I prayed it was. That nothing in his
really
real past would mess it up. Or nothing in mine. Because fuck if I didn’t know how to royally screw things up already. I was just fortunate that he had forgiven me. I knew that was my free pass though. He might forgive, but he wouldn’t forget. I knew that, because I wouldn’t.

Gracie looked past me and wagged her tail harder before vaulting over me like I was a block of wood, her tail whacking me in the face.

“Okay,” I said, turning to see Duncan walk into the room, barefoot and wearing the sweatpants. And rocking them. Lord, was there anything that made him look bad? He’d arrived on my porch after not showering for two days and I’d still wanted to do him.

His hair was a little messy from drying while being mauled, but other than that he looked delicious. In fact,
because
of that.

Gracie attacked him like he was dessert, and I was kind of with her on that. I figured I’d done enough on that front, however, so I kept my seat in the seat. Being a lady and all that.

“Left me for the dog,” he said. “I see how it is.”

“Left you for food, actually,” I said, holding up the cupcake as he walked up. “Strawberry, want the rest?”

He sat on the arm of the couch and leaned over to take the remainder of the cupcake from my fingers with his mouth. Things tingled. Good grief, I was shameless.

“Good,” he said around it, smirking.

“You’re all class,” I said.

He laughed and leaned over to give me a cupcake kiss. “Want more than dessert?”

“If that’s a metaphor, I’m up for anything from the waist up,” I said.
