Zar knew that she was lying, but he didn’t want to discuss it with her. To see her in pain only added to his ever-rising level of emotional stress. He kissed her. “Good. Go to sleep. We have a long day tomorrow.”

The idea of having a doctor check his hip was terrifying. If Jake had been telling the truth, then the results wouldn’t be bad. Unfortunately, he now had to wonder just how unethical Jake actually was. He had tried to kill Blaze for money, and it was all too possible that he had lied to Zar for the same reason.

Chapter 20

Christmas Eve day came in with no sun. It was cold and dank with scattered flurries predicted. Blaze and Zar lay in bed until late, talking about different things. When Blaze got up, it was to make them a late lunch.

Zar wandered into the kitchen, dressed only in a pair of boxers. He sat down somewhat carefully at the table, giving her a smile. “Smells good. It has been a long time since I had waffles.”

“Yeah, me, too. I thought of them, and they sounded good. I made a big pot of sweetened mixed berries to go over them. I can even top it off with some whipped cream.”

“Want some help?”

“No, I think I have it under control.”

She served him a heaping plate of waffles slathered in berries and whipped cream, and then she sat down next to him with a plate of her own.

Half the plate was gone when Zar got up for some more whipped cream. He covered the top of the waffles with it and then grinned at Blaze. She gave him a warning glance and slid her chair back. “Don’t you dare!”

“Why?” he asked, leaning to kiss her as he untied her robe.

Blaze chuckled, breaking the embrace as she tried to move away from him. Zar quickly slid her robe off, and before she could escape him, he took a handful of cream-covered fruit and smeared it down the front of her body.

She screeched, knowing that there was little point in trying to get away from him. The house was too small, and she couldn’t run outside. Blaze stared at him as she stuck both hands in her plate and plastered the contents to his chest and stomach. Zar put his sticky hands to her face and drew her into a kiss. It was a heated embrace that left them both with melted cream and fruit sliding down between them.

Zar leaned back, groaning as the liquid ran down his stomach, soaking into his shorts. His expression made Blaze laugh as she yanked his boxers off, dropping into the chair before him. She sucked his sticky, very sweet dick into her mouth and began to roll her tongue and lips over his rapidly hardening flesh. Zar leaned back into the table, running his fingers through her hair in ecstasy.

It was a short-lived experience as Choey came up under the table and began to lick his calf. Blaze burst into laughter, pushing the dog back with her hand. “You’re going to get sick, silly. Not including the fact that you are wrecking the mood.”

“Well, so much for a good idea,” said Zar. “Let’s get this mess cleaned up, and we can finish this in the shower.”

Blaze grabbed a towel, handing it to him. She giggled as he began to wipe off the table, his dick erect before him. She quickly used a wet cloth to pick up the mess on the floor, figuring that she could wash it more thoroughly afterward. Within minutes, the dishes were in the sink, and they had locked themselves in the bathroom. Choey scratched at the door a few times, making a pathetic whining sound, and then things went quiet. Zar grinned and ran his fingertip down Blaze’s red nose. “I hope this washes off. You look like Rudolph.”

“Oh, thank you. I needed that information. If I have to spend the evening with my cheeks and nose all bright red, then I’m blaming you.”

“Yeah, I can see the headlines now. Millionaire Zackery Russ assaults fiancée with a plate of waffles.”

Blaze laughed, her eyes lighting up with the gesture. “Well, turn the water on, and you can take your sweet time washing this sticky mess off.”

Zar flipped on the water and ran his hand under the tap. “Shit! We really need to get an exterior water tank. The heat must have just gone on. The water is ice cold.”

“Not what I wanted to hear,” Blaze said, leaning into his chest and shivering from the cool air in the bathroom. Zar grabbed a washcloth and poured some herbal face wash onto it to clean the fruit from her skin. Blaze stood with her eyes closed until he finished. “Well, your face looks perfect,” said Zar as he dried her skin. “Now we just have to wait for the water to heat up. Any suggestions on how to stay warm and waste fifteen or twenty minutes?”

Blaze answered him by running her tongue up the center of his sweetened chest. Zar caught her eyes and smiled. “Sounds good to me.”

She chuckled as he wiggled his eyebrows, and then she traced his overly sexy lips with her tongue. Zar moaned at the touch. He grabbed a towel off the rack and laid it over the toilet, sitting down on the closed seat. Blaze responded by sitting on the edge of the tub. She leaned forward, taking his now slightly limp cock between her lips. Zar leaned back slightly, giving her complete access as she bobbed her head. He drove his fingers into her hair, wanting to control her actions, but trying not to. She consumed his dick, sucking and rolling her tongue over the sensitive skin. Her head bobbed around him, and then Zar pushed her back. “Enough.”

“Felt good, huh?”

Zar laughed and looked down at his now very hard dick. He gestured her closer with his bent finger, and Blaze stood to straddle him. The feel of his cock as it sank into her aching pussy was glorious. The muscles expanded around him, twitching and shivering as she slowly rocked her hips. The position was perfection, and when Zar slipped his hand between their bodies and began to encircle her clit with his finger, she gasped for air. Blaze drove her fingers into his hair, kissing him desperately, the sticky foreplay having a far greater effect than she had realized. Her pussy was throbbing with need, the muscles demanding in their growing intensity. His tongue was in her mouth, caressing her, his lips tight against hers. David would never kiss her after she had given him a blowjob, but Zar obviously didn’t mind. She giggled at the thought, and he leaned back, frowning at her. “What’s so funny?”

“Just a stupid thought. It doesn’t bother you that my mouth was just on your dick?”

“Does it bother you when my mouth was just on your pussy?”

“No.”

“Question answered.”

She laughed, tilting her head as she gazed at him. He was absolutely the most magnificent man she had ever had the privilege to know. “I love you so much.”

“I’m glad. I love you, too. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be having sex with you on a toilet as melted fruit dried on my skin.” He slid his hands down her back, curving them to her hips and then pushing her down over his dick.

The action called her attention back to the sensations swelling inside her cunt, and Blaze rolled her hips, whimpering loudly as her muscles clamped tight around him. The wondrously hot tingles of orgasm seemed to last for an eternity, and when she felt Zar’s dick began to pulse within her, her pussy exploded, joining him in release. He barred his teeth, groaning loudly, as each jarring convulsion of climax caused her to cry out in pleasure. As always it was a sensation that disappeared too quickly, and Blaze leaned forward, kissing him with the gentle calmness that had settled in the aftermath. “That was amazing, Zar Russ.”

“I agree, Blaze Zeal. I would love to do it again, but we really need to see if the water is hot enough to take a shower.”

She wiggled at the tight, crackly feel of her skin. “Agreed.” Blaze slid back and flipped on the shower. Zar pulled her against his chest, kissing her neck. “I will never get tired of sex with you. It is just too enticing.”

Blaze turned and gave him another quick kiss before stepping into the shower. The water was hot, but it wouldn’t last long if they wasted it.
When Choey began to bark, they were just getting out of the shower. Zar wrapped a towel around his waist, noting the fog rolling out into the hall as he opened the door. Kale’s SUV was parked in the driveway, and he called out a warning to Blaze before opening the front door.

Kale came in with a blast of chilling air and hung his jacket on the chair. “Damn, it’s cold out there. Where’s Blaze?”

“She is getting dressed. You’re a bit early. We don’t have to leave for an hour and a half. Did you hear from Jenny?”

“No, nothing. I called the hospital, but she is not on duty. That’s what they said, at least. Of course, when I called a little bit later and asked to speak with him, he wasn’t there either. Surprise, surprise.”

Zar looked at him thoughtfully and then walked into the kitchen to put on a pot of coffee. “I wish I could give you some wise advice, but I don’t have any. I do need to go get dressed. Blaze will be out in a moment.”

Blaze strutted into the kitchen and turned in a circle. “Well? How do I look? Obviously I won’t be sporting a towel in my hair, but…”

Kale clapped his hands together, giving her a high-pitched whistle. “Very sexy. I like the leather boots. Where did you find them?”

“I found them on sale last winter and had them slice up the sides to lace. Last night I ripped the lacings out of one side and cut them to lace around the entire boot. My calves are a lot thinner than they used to be. I put a pair of heavy socks in them, so the foot part is perfect. Cool, huh?”

“Yes, very cool,” said Zar as he handed her a large box. “They will go very well with this. Open it.”

Blaze unwrapped the box, setting it on the table to pry off the cardboard lid. She turned to Zar as she pulled out the long, leather fur-lined coat and held it up to her body. “Zar, this is beautiful. Thank you.”

“Well, try it on.”

She slipped the coat on and went to go look at herself in the mirror. When Zar was no longer watching, she slipped into the back bedroom and opened the closet, taking out two boxes. She walked back into the kitchen, handing one to Zar and the other to Kale. “My turn for Christmas Eve gifts.”

Kale frowned at the box. “You didn’t have to get me anything, Blaze.”

“Yes, I did, because I wanted to. Now open it.”

Zar opened his box and began to laugh. “The two jackets couldn’t be any more alike if we bought them that way on purpose. That’s funny. Where did you get my coat, Blaze?”

“I ordered it from a company online. I hate shopping.”

“I got yours in a leather shop just outside of New York.”

Kale stood up, trying on the slightly shorter blue leather that Blaze had gotten him. “This is really nice, Blaze. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. It looks good on you. If I’m going to go out with the two of you this evening, I want you both well dressed. Zar, go get dressed. I have to do my face and hair,” she said, heading into the bathroom. When she came out, the two men were talking over steaming cups of coffee.

It was Zar’s turn to whistle at her, and she smiled. Zar said, “Wow. It’s been a long time since I saw you with makeup on. You look better than usual. My beautiful bride-to-be has transformed into a queen. I am going to be the envy of the evening.”

Blaze curtsied and walked closer to give him a kiss. “Thank you. Make a mental note for future reference. I hate the time and patience it takes to put on makeup. I don’t do it often enough to do it quickly and have it come out good. When will the limo be here?”

He glanced at his watch. “Ten or fifteen minutes.”

Blaze poured herself a cup of coffee and sat looking between Zar and Kale. “You two are so much alike, yet so different. It is weird sitting here looking at you both. I don’t take the time to do so usually. Did you find Jenny, Kale?”

“No. I really want to see Clair for Christmas and give her the presents I bought her. I am hoping that maybe she calls me tomorrow. I think she is holed up somewhere with her boyfriend.”

“Probably,” Blaze said. “I wish I could do something. I can’t believe she is doing this. You don’t want to discuss her, do you?”

“Not really, Blaze. I want to enjoy the evening and forget about Jenny. Maybe I will meet someone at the party who will occupy my mind for the holiday. Would it make the two of you uncomfortable if I showed up with another woman tomorrow?”

“Of course not,” replied Zar. “Why would it bother us? It’s your life, Kale. Whatever is best for you is fine with us.”

Kale sighed. “Well, I would trade places with you in a heartbeat, Zar. But I don’t have that option. Blaze has already kicked me in the balls once. I wouldn’t try again.”

Blaze glared at him, not really sure of how to take the comment. Before she could question him on it, Choey began to bark. She got up to see the reason and saw the limo out front. “Time to go.”

It took them a few moments to close up the house, and they were on their way. Snow was beginning to fall in a steady white flow, and when they arrived at the hall, the ground was covered. The driver got out and opened the door for them, and Blaze instantly thought of the Emmys she had seen on television. Cameras flashed from a flow of cameramen, and reporters converged on them. A woman asked, “Mr. Russ, how many toys do you expect to take in and distribute this year?”

Kale replied, “I don’t know. Did you bring one?”

The woman looked between the two men, obviously confused. Zar put his arm around Blaze. “Forgive my brother. We are hoping to top last year’s total of fifteen thousand. I suppose since there are no formal invitations given out, we will see at the end of the evening. Now if you will excuse us, we are going to get out of the snow and go inside.”
