Nivedita, Sister

. Hindu nationalist and nun, originally Miss Margaret Noble. As Sister Nivedita, she became a disciple of Swami

after meeting him in London. On moving to India, she joined the Ramakrishna Mission, and devoted herself to social work, notably in Calcutta. Immediately after the death of Swami Vivek
nanda she left the Ramakrishna Mission, in order to be free to devote herself to the service of India.
