Out of everything his eyes could have carried, there was just love. He smiled at her, his eyes so soft and loving, so patient and kind, and pulled her head into his chest, his strong frame supporting her so gently.

Her heart, her mind and her body screamed at her; she longed to be with this magnificent man, but the fact was, even though she now knew he was as willing as she, it would be against the rules. She was already breaking one major rule in not having Tom involved. If the mission was over it would be different, but it wasn’t! A wave of emotion flooded into her like never before.

‘I need to tell you before you visit, before you come back and see me fully as a Guardian, that I want…’

Amy pushed away. ‘I
already
see you as a Guardian, Mark. It’s what you
should
be.’

He grabbed her shoulder, pulling her back towards him. ‘But—’

‘No buts,’ Amy interrupted, her voice pale. She knew if he kissed her again she wouldn’t be able to resist. ‘However good it would be to have you and hold you as my own, I’m not willing to cause you trouble. I don’t want you to lose out on being a Guardian! You’re a
good
one! I don’t want to mess anything up for you because I love you. I will never allow you to give up what you so rightly should be!’

‘There are lots of things I could say right now that would stop you from feeling bad. Just like I said the right things to Adaizi, I could also say enough to convince
you
. If you don’t feel comfortable, I would never push…but, not only are these feelings okay,
whatever
you want from me…you
will
have!’

Amy smiled. It wasn’t hard at all knowing he felt the same way as her; it was knowing they both had to try and suppress whatever it was between them. The rebel in him was his most human and attractive characteristic.

‘We’ve got a mission to deal with, and we have to be prepared for that. Saving Tom is the number one priority here. I don’t want you to do
anything
you’re not supposed to!’

He seemed to deflate with disappointment but remained a gentleman. ‘My priority will always be to make Tom safe…and, whether you like it or not, you too!’

She took a deep breath and, with nothing but her tasks in mind, said, ‘Get me to Omnipion!’

CHAPTER 24

THE DIVINE REALM

‘I need to get there this time,’ Amy said, sitting in the conjured white chair. ‘How come he knows where we live? I thought you said bad people can’t see this place.’

‘They can’t!’ Mark said, straining to stand. Once he got to his feet, he stood behind her and placed his palms on her temples. ‘His vibratory level shouldn’t be able to reach our high frequency. I knew his powers were strong but…’ Mark looked lost for any more words.

‘Are we not safe here then?’ Amy asked.

‘We’re safe in the home. He won’t come into the house until he’s got his full powers because it’s protected with a shield as strong as our own. He’s obviously been following us and has gained the ability to tap into our frequency. We really need to protect your parents now.’

‘I must see them on…’

‘Tuesday. I know you want to visit after his hospital appointment. I’ll Void us there to stay undetected.’

‘Thanks,’ Amy said. The thought of her father’s appointment made her stomach roll, but she tried to clear it from her mind.

‘Relax!’

Amy closed her eyes. ‘Okay.’

‘Deep breaths…concentrate…now focus,’ Mark instructed. Amy took in a deep breath, wanting more than anything to do this. ‘Feel love and appreciation, passion or joy. Anything uplifting so you can connect.’

Amy thought about how much she loved Tom and how much she appreciated what Mark had done for her. Her mind wandered into a mist of swirling multicolours, then snapped back again. Before she could mentally scold herself, Mark jumped in.

‘That was good,’ he encouraged, her eyes growing heavy with the softness of his voice. ‘Hear the soft music…become weightless…feel your true home.’

Concentrating on his words, Amy’s mind eased. This time, with the new lifting sensation she felt, she allowed the soft, shimmering multicolours to come towards her. She tried to move towards it, but her mind lost the image again.

‘Don’t force it,’ Mark instructed. ‘Just let it be. It will
take
you if you relax into it. I’m here with you. When you see the colours, let their sensations into your heart. Trust the light…trust
me
!’

With that, she let go of all fear, all thoughts of anything at all, and her mind rushed to the beautiful colours as if it had been sucked into them. Like she was now smooth and multi-coloured herself, she began to blend and swirl into formation. As she rose, the weight of her body melted away. Becoming more lightweight as she travelled, her luminous soul emerging from her body, she felt like she was breaking free from a restrictive, heavy suit that had imprisoned her from all that she was.

She basked in her newfound weightlessness then pondered the feeling. Nothingness. No breath. No body. The presence of absence was mystifying.

Then, in the distance, she heard music. A divine music that called to her. A music she recognised from some distant memory. A music she easily welcomed. It was a compilation unheard and unfathomable by human ears; it was for the soul. She embraced the sounds, knowing their power to transport, and let them take her. Now travelling at hyper speed, her awareness of another world strengthened.

Once the colours transformed into pure light, she knew she’d been successfully transported into the Divine Realm at the top of Omnipion. As her eyes adjusted to the magnificent dome, her newly shaped being touched base and she stood in awe. Her soul, at one with the music, now felt a sense of deep peace and serenity.

In her newfound state, she knew exactly who and what she was: She was Nevaeh. She was the Protector. She was pure and Awake; a high-ranking, gifted soul in charge of a whole field in these marvellous inner fields. Like a veil had been lifted, this place was more real to her than anything she’d known. She felt like the life she’d been leading, her mere twenty-one years, was nothing but a day out; a little extra bit to add to the rest of her extensively learned being.

She allowed her luminous soul to bask in the phosphorescence of the dome. Letting it heal her. Letting it wash away every pain she’d ever felt.

The brightness of the dome set against a background of deep space was amazing to see. She thought her arms were outstretched to the arch above for a moment until she realised it wasn’t her arms; it was wings in place of them. She quickly remembered there was no need for arms in this place; most tasks were accomplished by the mind.

She looked to the main central point and smiled at the eight sets of crystal Steps of Accession that ran down in symmetry to the far edge of the dome. The shimmering, mystical pyramid hovering above her, and the mighty, towering structure shone brighter than she remembered.

Next to take her attention was the swirling Stream that ran down from these steps into the central core of Omnipion which, acting like a light filled waterfall, enhanced the beauty of the crystal steps. Shimmering evocatively, it pulsed and swayed like satin shivering in a cool air, enticing her to enter.

Her body, now just one long, beautiful tail, floated towards it in a trance-like state. It felt strange having no legs for a moment, but again there wasn’t a need. In this place they didn’t walk; they moved, they glided, and flew. When she reached the Stream, she balanced on the inner rim surrounding it and her eyes followed the speckles of light that ran up and down as if she were about to attach herself. In that moment, knowing she was in the centre of the universe, she felt more alive than ever before.

As her eyes followed the stream down, she noted each of the twelve separate fields inside the inner core, which the Stream—one spiral for going up and one spiral for down—could transport her.

She gazed up to the top of the Stream and watched it shoot out prismatic, healing energy rays. The rays, more bedazzling and exciting than a firework display, soared to the top of the dome and ran down, illuminating the arch, causing a spectacular, breath-taking effect.

The dome itself was immense. Above the clear glass lay the deep, starry veil of the universe. Below it, in the distance, she could see thousands of domains, too many to count, all occupied by experienced Guardians for the different individual aspects of Guardianship. Feeling like she was inside a giant snowstorm ornament, Amy remained astounded as she took it all in.

She knew the music the Divine Realm created could be heard from the whole of Omnipion, inner fields and outer levels alike; even right down in the lower parts of the Chamber, although the effect was lost on the souls down on level twelve. She knew the unusual, musical sounds held frequencies that could heal DNA and, even without her body, they pinged at her soul, giving her the strange sensation of having a joyful, healthy body.

Bright, crisp and clinical, yet full of such a loving vibe, no one on Earth could comprehend how beautifully stunning everything was in front, below, above and all around her. Feeling safe, calm and wonderful, and having a pure connection to the place as if it was a part of her core, she wondered how she could’ve ever been scared of coming. This was where she belonged.

‘You made it,’ said a smooth voice from behind. As she turned there stood a male soul who was the same pearl white as she, with an engaging, wise smile. His soul also carried a metallic, silky sheen, and his dark, inky eyes, full of ancient wisdom, gleaming with intensity as they connected to hers, mesmerised her.

‘Yes,’ she answered, a flicker of nerves making her feel more alive. She instinctively and respectfully greeted the Decision Maker with a bow. She remembered as if it had been yesterday the day she stood proudly in front of him, eager to help with the mission, wanting to be Tom’s mother, trying to convince him she was right for the job.

He bowed back with a wonderful, alluring smile. ‘You have not been away that long,’ he continued, his dulcet tone blending perfectly with the music.

‘I know,’ she replied, looking up, totally relaxed in his presence. ‘But it’s as powerful as the first time I laid eyes on it.’ Amy smiled, remembering the joyous feeling she had whenever she visited the highest point of Omnipion.

‘Shall we begin our discourse, Nevaeh? I mean Amy. I apologise.’ He bowed. ‘I haven’t got used to Amy yet.’

Amy smiled at his easy mistake for, before this moment,
she
felt like she was Nevaeh.
Nevaeh is noble and honorary
, Amy thought, feeling ashamed of what she’d become.
She does things for the highest good.
Amy knew her former self couldn’t even begin to fathom the idea of being scared of her higher self.

The Decision Maker held a knowing smile, showing he had heard her thoughts. ‘Is it harder than you thought to…be Amy?’

Amy considered his question for a moment. ‘It’s hard to describe. I remember asking for this mission but…even though I love this place and want to save it with all my heart, and I remember that I do…I love Tom with an Earthly love as well. I’m attached to him. I don’t see him as the Bright One. I can’t. I see him as my boy. Mine to love and protect from this mission. I said I would help with this mission, and you know I keep my word, but how can I, Amy, allow what’s in store for him?’

‘Even though you are in two minds right now, I know and trust you will still do your best for this mission. I believe in you!’

‘Do you think I’ll be strong enough like I said?’

He paused for a moment. ‘You came to visit me before this day. You were able to conjure your unique power without having this meeting. You are doing a great job so far!’

‘Thank you, Decision Maker,’ Amy said, his words bringing more soothing sensations to her soul.

‘The purpose of this mission is not to persuade you to do what you first set out to do, but to encourage you and let you know we are behind you whatever you do—and, of course, by coming here you are now infused with the power of light.’

‘Thank you.’ Amy bowed. ‘What is the violet light? Where has it come from? How do I use it?

‘Violet shows in auras when humans are loving, kind or selfless. Your unique gift gives you the greatest compassion any soul has ever owned. We didn’t know how that would manifest itself when earthbound but, what you can do with it is up to you. No other soul has your power. None of us know of its capabilities yet, but remember a lot of power has to do with the mind. How did you conjure it?’

‘I just thought about what I didn’t want.’

‘Then that’s the way you should use it. Concentrate on what you don’t want, if that’s what works for you for now.’

‘Do you think I can heal my father?’

‘You can do anything you set your mind to but, being here now, knowing there really is no such thing as death, I hope this eases the situation for you. You know he will only come into this feeling…and there is nothing better.’

‘It helps me, but I don’t want my mother or brother to suffer without him, especially as they will also have to lose me…and Tom.’ She knew at this point, with this mind, that saying goodbye was something she could do. Here, she loved all souls equally. Family to perfect stranger, there was no segregation, no separation. If it took staying away to keep them safe, she could do it.

‘Thinking of others as always. You are so very noble.’
Amy felt warm and fully appreciated. Her opinion here was valid and trusted, honoured and respected. Here she was at one with the higher mind; all that was wise and good. ‘This meeting is just to remind you that you understood, before you entered the Chamber, we had no choice but to carry out this mission.’

I know,
Amy thought.
I remember.

‘You remember how the Dogod threatened to burn his way up and through the souls of each level inside the Chamber to get out into the inner fields of Omnipion which we know will destroy everything?’

‘Yes,’ she said, dread and anguish rushing through her being, her heart giving her an awful pang at the thought of the infinite amount of souls that would be destroyed if that happened. It was the main reason she had decided to help.

‘And you knew Tom was our only hope and, because of the love you have for all souls, you decided to help in the best way you could.’

Yes.
She also knew that was why Tom, even though too pure to fight, had been
persuaded
to do this. She felt for Tom again, but as she stared into the Decision Maker’s eyes, she saw how deeply he cared for her and Tom, just as she did for him, and for this place, and for every soul.

‘You are ready to resonate,’ he said, his wings sinking into hers. She was suddenly filled with nerves but, before they could take hold of her, their wings had joined into one and they were off.

Zooming in a straight line for thousands of miles, hundreds of domains flashing by, felt the same as her travel here. After what seemed like no time at all, she was hovering on the outer crust of the Divine Realm, looking down at level one of the Chamber, which spanned the circumference of Omnipion’s belly. The millions of bright egg-shaped Omni-pods, filled with beautiful silvery-white, golden, and many other coloured souls were glistening as if made out of diamonds.

Amy knew some of the Omni-pods must have been ready to open and let the souls ascend once this last life of theirs was over, and felt loving anticipation for each one of them.
