. In April 1958, the NYPD received an alternative tip about the Patriarca Family of New England. The NYPD contacted the Providence, Rhode Island, police department: “This department is in receipt of information that [Raymond] Patriarca might be involved in the killing of Albert Anastasia.” The NYPD then requested information on Providence mobsters.
