1
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to
him
for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2
 And Jesus said unto them,
See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what
shall be
the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4
And Jesus answered and said unto them,
Take heed that no man deceive you.
5
Â
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6
Â
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things
must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7
Â
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8
Â
All these
are
the beginning of sorrows.
9
Â
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10
Â
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11
Â
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12
Â
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13
Â
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14
Â
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15
Â
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,
(whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16
Â
then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17
Â
let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18
Â
neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19
Â
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20
Â
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21
Â
for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22
Â
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23
Â
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here
is
Christ, or there; believe
it
not.
24
Â
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if
it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25
Â
Behold, I have told you before.
26
Â
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold,
he is
in the secret chambers; believe
it
not.
27
Â
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28
Â
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
A Psalm of David.
1
 Give unto the L
ORD
, O ye mighty, give unto the L
ORD
glory and strength.
2
 Give unto the L
ORD
the glory due unto his name; worship the L
ORD
in the beauty of holiness.
3
 The voice of the L
ORD
is
upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the L
ORD
is
upon many waters.
4
 The voice of the L
ORD
is
powerful; the voice of the L
ORD
is
full of majesty.
5
 The voice of the L
ORD
breaketh the cedars; yea, the L
ORD
breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
6
He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
7
 The voice of the L
ORD
divideth the flames of fire.
8
 The voice of the L
ORD
shaketh the wilderness; the L
ORD
shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
9
 The voice of the L
ORD
maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of
his
glory.
10
 The L
ORD
sitteth upon the flood; yea, the L
ORD
sitteth King for ever.
11
 The L
ORD
will give strength unto his people; the L
ORD
will bless his people with peace.
6
For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
7
And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
8
Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
9
In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
10
And, behold, there met him a woman
with
the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
11
 (She
is
loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12
 Now
is she
without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
13
So she caught him, and kissed him,
and
with an impudent face said unto him,
14
Â
I have
peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
15
Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
16
I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved
works,
with fine linen of Egypt.
17
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18
Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
19
 For the goodman
is
not at home, he is gone a long journey:
20
He hath taken a bag of money with him,
and
will come home at the day appointed.
21
With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
22
 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
23
Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it
is
for his life.
14
Three times thou [Israel] shalt keep a feast unto me [the L
ORD
] in the year.
15
Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16
and the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering,
which is
in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17
Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord G
OD
.
18
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the L
ORD
thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
20
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name
is
in him.
22
But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23
For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24
Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25
And ye shall serve the L
ORD
your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
28
And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
29
I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30
By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31
And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32
Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33
They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
24:
1
And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the L
ORD
, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
2
And Moses alone shall come near the L
ORD
: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
3
And Moses came and told the people all the words of the L
ORD
, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the L
ORD
hath said will we do.
4
And Moses wrote all the words of the L
ORD
, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
5
And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the L
ORD
.
6
And Moses took half of the blood, and put
it
in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7
And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the L
ORD
hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8
And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled
it
on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the L
ORD
hath made with you concerning all these words.
9
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
10
and they saw the God of Israel: and
there was
under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in
his
clearness.
11
And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
12
 And the L
ORD
said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
13
And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
14
And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur
are
with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
15
And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
16
And the glory of the L
ORD
abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17
And the sight of the glory of the L
ORD
was
like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18
And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
25:
1
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
2
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
3
 And this
is
the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
4
and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats'
hair,
5
and rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
6
oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,
7
onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
8
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
9
According to all that I shew thee,
after
the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make
it.
10
And they shall make an ark
of
shittim wood: two cubits and a half
shall be
the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
11
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
12
And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put
them
in the four corners thereof; and two rings
shall be
in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.
13
 And thou shalt make staves
of
shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
14
And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
15
The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
16
And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
17
And thou shalt make a mercy seat
of
pure gold: two cubits and a half
shall be
the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
18
And thou shalt make two cherubims
of
gold,
of
beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
19
And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end:
even
of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
20
And the cherubims shall stretch forth
their
wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces
shall look
one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
21
And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
22
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which
are
upon the ark of the testimony, of all
things
which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
23
Thou shalt also make a table
of
shittim wood: two cubits
shall be
the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
24
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
25
And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.
26
And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that
are
on the four feet thereof.
27
Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.
28
And thou shalt make the staves
of
shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
29
And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal:
of
pure gold shalt thou make them.
30
And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.
31
And thou shalt make a candlestick
of
pure gold:
of
beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
32
And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
33
three bowls made like unto almonds,
with
a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch,
with
a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
34
 And in the candlestick
shall be
four bowls made like unto almonds,
with
their knops and their flowers.
35
 And
there shall be
a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
36
Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it
shall be
one beaten work
of
pure gold.
37
And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
38
And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof,
shall be of
pure gold.
39
Â
Of
a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.
40
 And look that thou make
them
after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
