Matthew 26:14-46

14
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
15
 and said
unto them,
What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
16
And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

17
 Now the first
day
of the
feast of
unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

18
 And he said,
Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19
And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

20
Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21
And as they did eat, he said,
Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

22
And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

23
 And he answered and said,
He that dippeth
his
hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
24

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

25
Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I?

He said unto him,
Thou hast said.

26
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed
it,
and brake
it,
and gave
it
to the disciples, and said,
Take, eat; this is my body.
27
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave
it
to them, saying,
Drink ye all of it;
28

for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29

But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
30
And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

31
 Then saith Jesus unto them,
All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
32

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

33
Peter answered and said unto him, Though all
men
shall be offended because of thee,
yet
will I never be offended.

34
 Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

35
Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

36
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples,
Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37
And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38
 Then saith he unto them,
My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou
wilt.
40
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter,
What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed
is
willing, but the flesh
is
weak.

42
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44
And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
45
Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them,
Sleep on now, and take
your
rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Psalm 31:19-24

19

Oh
how great
is
thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which
thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

20
Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21
 Blessed
be
the L
ORD
: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

22
For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23
 O love the L
ORD
, all ye his saints:
for
the L
ORD
preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the L
ORD
.

Proverbs 8:14-26

14
 Counsel
is
mine, and sound wisdom: I
am
understanding; I have strength.

15
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16
By me princes rule, and nobles,
even
all the judges of the earth.

17
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

18
 Riches and honour
are
with me;
yea,
durable riches and righteousness.

19
 My fruit
is
better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22
 The L
ORD
possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24
 When
there were
no depths, I was brought forth; when
there were
no fountains abounding with water.

25
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

Exodus 30:11–31:18

11
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
12
When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the L
ORD
, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when
thou
numberest them.
13
This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel
is
twenty gerahs:) an half shekel
shall be
the offering of the L
ORD
.
14
Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the L
ORD
.
15
The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when
they
give an offering unto the L
ORD
, to make an atonement for your souls.
16
And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the L
ORD
, to make an atonement for your souls.

17
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
18
Thou shalt also make a laver
of
brass, and his foot
also of
brass, to wash
withal:
and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
19
For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
20
when they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the L
ORD
:
21
so they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them,
even
to him and to his seed throughout their generations.

22
 Moreover the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
23
Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred
shekels,
and of sweet cinnamon half so much,
even
two hundred and fifty
shekels,
and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty
shekels,
24
 and of cassia five hundred
shekels,
after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:
25
and thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.
26
And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,
27
and the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,
28
and the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.
29
And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.
30
And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that
they
may minister unto me in the priest's office.

31
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
32
Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make
any other
like it, after the composition of it: it
is
holy,
and
it shall be holy unto you.
33
 Whosoever compoundeth
any
like it, or whosoever putteth
any
of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

34
 And the L
ORD
said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum;
these
sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like
weight:
35
and thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure
and
holy:
36
 and thou shalt beat
some
of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
37
 And
as for
the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the L
ORD
.
38
Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.

31:
1
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
2
See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3
and I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4
to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5
and in cutting of stones, to set
them,
and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

6
 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
7
the tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that
is
thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
8
and the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
9
and the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
10
and the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,
11
and the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy
place:
according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.

12
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
13
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it
is
a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that
ye
may know that I
am
the L
ORD
that doth sanctify you.
14
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it
is
holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth
any
work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh
is
the sabbath of rest, holy to the L
ORD
: whosoever doeth
any
work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations,
for
a perpetual covenant.
17
 It
is
a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for
in
six days the L
ORD
made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

18
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
