Chapter 14

Graduation

Melanie gave us certificates of graduation and we talked briefly thanking her and talking about our plans for the next year. She was sad to see us go of course, because we couldn’t give the standard promise to see her around campus. At last we broke free and left the building side by side. The night was warm and we walked slowly across campus.

“Did you mean, everything you didn’t say back there?” I said it lightly but I needed to know.

“Probably. I was hurt you know.”

“Yeah. I’m sorry.”

“It’s not really your fault. I thought I could offer friendship and it was just that. But you saw right through it. I never really wanted to be just friends.”

I nodded.

“It would have been more honest of me to ask ‘When we go back home, will you see me? Can we be together?’”

It was kind of her to word it so gently. I could have avoided answering, but I didn’t need to. “We will see each other. I’m not promising it will turn into something.”

“Alright… It’s a start.”

I stopped in my tracks, frowning. “No. Not really.” She turned to me, worry clearly written on her face.  “I think this would make a better start.” I whispered and leaned forward to place a gentle kiss on her lips. She kissed me back softly at first, but when I drew away slightly she followed me. Her kiss was so very her. It was bossy and bold and intensely passionate. She stroked my cheek and I fell back into her kiss. Our tongues touched and I wrapped my arms around her waist drawing her closer.

Suddenly a catcall interrupted us. A group of students waved and gently teased us with the classic: “Get a room!” I laughed and blushed. I couldn’t believe I had almost forgotten we were in the middle of the commons.

“I have a room…” Sachi offered daringly.

“What about your roommate?”

“I’d bet anything she’s at your place with Leann.”

Shaking my head in wonder, I had to admit Sachi was probably right. “Your room then.” Why not?

There was no more strolling slowly across campus for us. We held hands and practically ran the rest of the way. Giggling as we rushed by other couples enjoying the bright starry night, we arrived breathlessly at building E. Sachi led me down the hallways until we found her room. As soon as the door way shut behind us we fell into each other’s arms again.

Sachi was wild and demanding. Her hands were everywhere at once but never unfocused. No, she was deftly working me out of my clothes and I was loving it. Her teeth nipped my ear and her hot breath tickled my neck while she unsnapped the buttons on my left hip. I moved to unzip her dress but Sachi somehow derailed me. My hands were above my head and she had my tee shirt up an off before I could even think. Again I tried for her zipper but Sachi was licking a soft sexy pattern across my collar bone as she slid my bra straps down and away.

“You are still bossy.” I whispered huskily then gasped as Sachi pulled me down to the floor.

“I want you.” She replied before taking my nipple into her mouth. The wet heat of her mouth distracted me completely and I melted into her. Everything she demanded I gladly gave. Until I was naked beneath her, shuddering as her talented lips brought me to the highest peaks. As I coasted down to earth, Sachi asked, “Will you stay with me?”

“I still won’t promise anything.”

“I meant just for the night.”

“Then yes, defiantly, yes.”
