Chapter Eight

On the way back up the mountain, Megan told
Tessen how much she'd enjoyed Jayn's company.  "She seemed to be hiding something, though.  I mean, I was talking about Alexa and Alicia, and it was like she knew something I didn't.  Do you think she could know where they are?"

Tessen
looked at her.  "How could Jayn possibly know anything about your friends?"  His mind was barely following the conversation.  He was too excited about the bottle of Wild Pussy in his pocket.

When he had parked in the garage,
Tessen jumped out of the car and ran around to open her door for her, catching her hand and pulling her toward the house.  "Where are you dragging me off to?" she asked, somewhat impatiently.

"Bed.  I missed you!"

Megan laughed, but followed along after him.  She'd missed him too.  Yes, he'd been there the whole day, but he and Porter had run off for an hour or two and left her alone with Jayn.  She liked Jayn a lot, but...she wasn't her friends from home.

As soon as
Tessen opened his bedroom door, Megan forgot all about all of her friends, old and new.  He took her in his arms and kissed all thoughts right out of her head.  Within moments he had her shorts pooled around her feet and her top on the floor.

She pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it onto the floor, pushing at the waistband of his pants.  "How do these silly things come off?" she asked.

He caught her hands and pushed her down onto her back on the bed.  "I'm not ready for them to come off just yet."  Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the Wild Pussy and removed the lid, squirting some onto the first two fingers of his right hand.  He immediately moved his hand between her legs, and gently slid one finger inside her.

Megan's eyes widened at his touch.  "Oh my God!  What are you doing to me?"  She arched her hips up to meet his hand.  "I need you,
Tessen!"  She'd never felt like she needed to climax so badly in her life.  What had he done to her?

Tessen
grinned as he looked down at her, wanting nothing more than to plunge into her wet heat.  His fingers moved wildly inside her, because he knew he wanted to bring her to climax before he found his own pleasure.

His lips went to her neck as he nipped at her bare skin, hoping to force the special lubricant to do its job quickly.  What would push his sweet bride over the top?

Megan couldn't keep the climax from washing over her.  She arched her back and let out a low scream, feeling the tightening coursing through her entire body, filling her with a strange euphoria.  She watched almost unable to feel as he stripped off his pants and knelt between her thighs.

Tessen
pushed his hard cock into her waiting pussy, plunging fast and deep, knowing she was ready.  He quickly moved in and out of her, not worrying about her climax since she'd already reached hers.

It took him mere moments to reach his orgasm, shouting out her name.  He rolled to her side and gathered her against him, hugging her close.

Megan lay panting for a long moment beside him, before she propped herself up on her elbow.  "What did you use on me to make me feel like that?" she asked.

Tessen
blushed slightly, wishing he didn't have to tell her, but knowing he wasn't going to keep something like that from her.  "It's something I bought from Porter.  It's actually an illegal substance in the United States.  It's called 'Wild Pussy.'"

Megan blinked a few times and shook her head.  "Why is it banned in this country?  Is it dangerous?"

Tessen's eyes widened.  How could she even think something like that of him?  "No, of course not!  I would never hurt you!  It was used to train women to be prostitutes at one point, so they banned it."

"How did Porter get it then?"

"Porter has connections with black markets worldwide."  Tessen sighed.  "Maybe it was a bad idea to get some from him, but I wanted you to experience a good orgasm."

Megan sighed.  "You didn't have to do that." She wasn't exactly certain how she felt about him using the
Wild Pussy on her.  It seemed like it was almost like a date rape drug.

"I won't use it again, unless I talk to you about it first.  Is that fair?"

Megan nodded, swinging her legs over the bed.  "I need a few minutes alone."  She quietly dressed and walked from the room, and straight out the front door.  She really did need some time alone to think.

She was married...to a man she'd only met the previous day.  What kind of person did that make her?  She'd always thought she was levelheaded and conservative in her actions.  Of course, with the circumstances she'd found herself in, it was the smart thing to do...wasn't it?

She walked toward the lake as she thought, her mind racing with the events of the past few days.  Tessen's face was permanently imprinted on her mind.  She couldn't stop thinking about him, no matter how hard she tried.  She couldn't love him yet...could she?  You had to know someone and date them for months and months before you fell in love, didn't you?

Megan didn't pay much attention to her surroundings as she walked, following the path that led to the spot where
Tessen had first found her.  She wondered briefly if it would bother him that she'd left, but he'd never told her she couldn't walk alone on his land, simply that she couldn't go into town by herself.

She was almost to the spot by the lake where he'd found her, when she felt as if she was being watched.  She looked all around her, seeing no one, but still frightened.  The hairs on the back of her neck stood straight up, so she turned and ran as fast as she could back to the cabin.

Once she was in the house, she slammed the door behind her, locking it and leaning back against it, panting.

Tessen
hurried in from his office.  "What's wrong?  Did something happen?"

Megan rushed to him, burying her face in his neck.  She couldn't speak yet as she fought for breath.  After a moment she said, "I felt like I was being watched.  I know I'm probably just being silly, but...it felt so real."

Tessen studied her for a moment.  "If you felt like you were being watched, then you were being watched.  I want you to take Boudreaux with you from now on."

Megan nodded, glad he wasn't discounting her fears.  "I will."  She looked into his dark brown eyes and realized for the first time that she was falling in love with him.  There was no doubt about it.  Everything about him was what she'd been looking for.  The fountain had been right.  She needed this man in her life.

Chapter Nine

Every day when Megan went for her walk, she took Boudreaux with her, careful to be safe.  It was over two weeks later when she left on her daily walk again, going the same way she always did along the path around the lake.  The mountain was riddled with small caves and different places where someone could hide, so she was always thankful to have Boudreaux with her.  He made her at least feel like she was safe.

She stopped for a moment in the spot where
Tessen had told her the fountain had been for him.  She wished there was some way to know for certain that the fountain would never come back and that her friends were safe with new loves of their own.  She'd searched the internet many times, but hadn't been able to find the others, wondering repeatedly what had happened to them and if they were happy.

For herself, she knew that
Tessen was the man she was meant to spend her life with.  She didn't care that she had to remain isolated.  She and Jayn were in daily contact between email and their weekly lunch visits.  She was glad to have a new friend, but she desperately missed the ones that had been taken from her.

She turned to call out to Boudreaux, suddenly realizing he wasn't right beside her as he usually was when she saw a face that she'd only seen once before.
Jon from the judge's office stood looking at her as if he owned her.  "Hello."  His voice was almost eerie.

He looked different than he had the day she'd met him.  This time instead of the neon clothes he'd worn, he was wearing camouflage green, presumably to blend in with his surroundings on the mountain and avoid being spotted.

Megan shivered and called for Boudreaux, looking around her hoping that he would jump in and help her.  "Boudreaux!  Where are you?"

She spotted him as soon as the words were past her lips, lying in a crumpled heap on the ground, looking as if he'd been tampered with.  Her eyes met Jon's.  "What do you want from me?"

Jon laughed.  "What do I want from you?  What does any man in this century want from a woman?"  At her look he shook his head with a laugh.  "Oh, I don't want sex.  I can get that from any number of men I know.  No, I want the money you'd bring at auction."

Megan shook her head.  "But I'm married to someone else!  You can't sell anyone but a single woman at auction."

"I can if you don't tell anyone you're married."

"But I'll scream it from the rooftops.  I'm married and I love my husband!"  It wasn't until the words left her lips that she realized they were true, irrevocably and completely.  She'd fallen in love with the man who had all but forced her to marry him so she wouldn't have to be a bride to four men?  How could she do that?

"It won't matter if he's dead, will it?"  He grabbed her arm and began dragging her away from the cabin.

Megan dug in her heels and fought him with all her might, wishing she could get away and run back to check on
Tessen.  Surely Jon hadn't hurt him and wouldn't if she cooperated, but she wasn't certain she could force herself to do as the younger man said.

Tessen glanced at the clock on the wall and realized Megan had been out much longer than usual.  She didn't realize that he could communicate with Boudreaux remotely, though, so he pulled out the remote for the robot.  "Boudreaux, you two all right?"  He waited patiently for a moment, suddenly becoming afraid.  "You all right?"  When there was again no answer, he was on his feet, pulling his phone from his pocket.

"Megan's been gone a lot longer than she should have been and my robot isn't responding."

Porter's deep voice came back at him over the line.  "On my way.  We'll determine if my team needs to come in, but I'll have them standing by."

Tessen
quickly gathered water and his first aid box before stepping outside to wait for Porter.  He knew his friend would pull out all the stops to get there as soon as he could.  He heard the sound of the car within three minutes of stepping outside, and without a word, the two men headed toward the trail he'd seen Megan take day after day.

"She's fascinated by the spot where the fountain was and the spot where I found her.  She walks to both and inspects them daily.  I have no idea why."
Tessen was worried that he did know why, though.  He was worried she wanted to find a way to get back home.

"Let's find her then."  Porter's voice was confident.  He'd been on this kind of mission more times than either of them could count, and he wouldn't give up until he found his prey.

Within minutes they found Boudreaux, damaged but not irreparably.  As soon as he saw the robot, Tessen felt the fear race through his body.  "Someone has her."

Porter knelt beside the water, looking at something on the ground.  "It appears so.  There're footprints for both a man and a woman."  He didn't wait to see if
Tessen was following as he took off at a half-run following the footprints which led to a trail into a cave.  "You go in and distract him.  I'll deal with him while you deal with the hysterics."

Tessen
nodded, determined to save Megan, no matter what it took.

Jon tied Megan's hands together and left her at the back of the cave, mumbling something about dealing with Tessen.  Megan wished she could fight, but she had no way to cut the ropes that bound her wrists together.

She was struggling to get free when she felt hands on her wrists, gently untying them.  She turned and sank into
Tessen's arms.  "He's still out there somewhere," she sobbed against his chest.  She knew she was acting like a baby, but she also knew that being kidnapped would bring out the baby in most women, and she just wasn't going to worry about it.

Porter stood perfectly still with his back to the side of the mountain.  He watched for whomever had taken Megan hostage, because he could hear voices from within the cave, and he knew that she was safe, so her captor must not have been in there with her.

He watched as a man hurried toward the cave, not even seeing him standing there in the open.  He grabbed the younger man's arm and twisted it behind him, his hand immediately going to the man's neck and giving a quick twist, feeling him crumple to the ground.

He called his next in charge.  "One dead body to be disposed of.  Proper channels.  He kidnapped a woman."  He closed his phone and walked into the cave.  "It's over.  I've got a man coming to get rid of the body."
