“Why does Vincent transform them into 'half vampires'?”

The name 'Vincent' sweated best to that question, instead of pronouncing my father. I was referring to the creature that turns human being into those ugly creatures and not to what generated me.

“If they stay here in human form, they would not survive for many hours. This is where Vincent bites them and leaves them as they are, that is, mortal creatures that resist any longer”, he paused. “Vincent doubles the time of their lives, making them resistant to certain things.”

“So only do my father and I possess the power to turn people into vampires?” I asked, surprised.

“Yes”, he said and walked to the side, out of my way. “Now do you understand the power you have?” he asked.

“I feel like a monster!” I said.

“And you are”, he said looking back at me.

I felt revulsion within me, for being everything.

I sat on the floor with my knees to the side, I was weak, I still needed blood, my body reacted strangely, and every moment that passed I lost vivacity.

I put my hands on the stone to support my discouraged body.

Eros realized there was something wrong about me.

“I need blood ...” I said unconsciously.

Eros did not think twice, approached me, he was standing in front of me, extended his left arm, and wrapped the cuff, leaving his pulse to the sample.

“Drink up!” he said and held out his wrist for me to drink of his blood.

“I cannot!” I shook my head, reinforcing my words of denial.

I was afraid something could happen to him, I could lose him forever.

“Drink up! I fed a few minutes”, he insisted.

Eros had killed his thirst by blood with a half vampire, shortly before him being with me in the hallway of the club.

“The blood still runs hot in my veins!” he said.

“I'm scared...of losing ... You” I confessed, gazing into his eyes.

“Nothing wrong will happen to me! Just I'll stay a little weak!”

“No.”

“Come on!” he ordered.

I looked at his wrist for seconds, until I have the courage to do what he has set for me.

My lips touched his cold fist; I was involved with the fresh blood that ran his arteries. Within moments my sharp teeth penetrated his skin. The blood ran down his pale skin, marking around my lips. I was sucking the sweet blood with such despair; I could not hold my lust for blood. Eros was writhing around, he felt great pain and discomfort, and then he pressed his lips followed by shortened groans. When he felt it was time to stop me, he pulled his wrist brutally. With his other hand he held the bloody wrist, and pulled the site of the bite, it was a way to stop the blood down and lessen the pain he felt.

I sat, reinvigorating my energy, I felt other. The inverse of minutes before I delighting in the blood that ran through him.

When I felt fully conscious and powerful, I looked at him.

The weakness controlled his body; he was worn for minutes, until he returns to his normal state. Immediately...He was again the same as before, with the erect posture, as if nothing had happened.

Chapter 21

Everything was fine. I had the strength to stand up and resume the routine.

Before we return to the castle and join the others, I wanted to involve other subject, questions that were saved me and I needed answers.

“Why aren't you attracted by our species?” I asked.

He did not expect me to come on this subject, his face responded to my question.

He grimaced.

“The warm blood flowing in the vein of humans is a challenge for me, it becomes me hot too!” he responded looking to the side. “The hear
tbeat ...Everything is fantastic!”

He continued, I felt an excitement in him when he describing his expectations. It mad
e
me ill.

How I hated being a vampire!

I had no of those features described by him.

“We have nothing of it! We’re cold! Our heart did
n't beat more ...” he said without enthusiasm.

I lowered my head lamenting all the things said by him. How it was difficult for me to hear that.

“It means you are lost to me”, I said disappointed.

He moved closer and touched my arm.

“Look! I feel nothing when I touch you! We're cold!”

I lost the ground with those words.

He dropped my arm and made a short retreat.

“There's something else I need to know ...” I begged.

But he waited attentively, my next question. This time he would be prepared.

I went in front of him, looked into his eyes to prove the veracity of his response.

“Have you ever felt attracted to me?” I stared at the pupil of his eyes. “When was I human?”

Discomfort invaded his stance he had no motivation to answer me.

“What will it advance you knowledge that now?” he asked.

“I need to know!”

He sniffed before answering.

“...Yes...”

His answer was honest, I could see into his fearless eyes.

The ‘YES’ came to my mind as a good thing and bad at the same time. ‘Good’ because I knew one day he'd want me, I was present in his thoughts...

And ‘bad’ because I would never be desired by him, that way everything had been in the past.

“When?” I ordered him to go into detail, when he felt desire for me.

“Twice...” his voice was low.

“When? Tell me!” I insisted.

He walked toward me, in silent; I had no idea what he would do. Now it was his turn to stand in front of me. He stared at my eyes upon him. He raised his hands and held my head, an energy that accompanied his hands made him show me the two times I insisted on knowing.

They were going through my mind as if I had again reliving those magic moments.

The first time occurred in the Rock and Roll concert:

When he touched his face on my neck, rubbing his lips on my delicate skin, it was a way to keep him under control. I had exchanged blood, half human and half vampire, with that my smell would stop him craving human blood. I did not draw him this aspect.

“Are you okay?” I asked seeing his strange reaction; I had never seen him that way, uncontrollable.

“The smell of your blood makes me calm”, he responded as soon as his face broke my neck. I felt a cold breath, almost stopping.

The second moment came minutes before I become a vampire:

He grabbed my shoulder carefully and removed the hair from my neck with his other hand. I saw his eyes changing color.

He put his lips on my neck, the beating of my heart and my heavy breathing came to his ears like a melody, an invitation to sink his teeth into my quivering flesh. I looked up and saw the dark ceiling, a strange feeling came over my body, a burning sensation went through my flesh, it seemed I was on fire, it let me take the pleasant bite of Eros, being bitten by a blood sucking it should be somewhat unpleasant, and he became tasty.

It was easier for him to make me to see the scenes, what had happened.

If he could describe them, it would not come as perfect.

At the end of the images in my mind, he took his hands off from my head.

More than ever I wished to become human, that was my goal, to stop being a vampire, I just did not know if it would be possible, and what it would cost me...

One thing was certain; I was willing to pay any price to have that privilege.

Becoming human and win the presumed love of Eros.

“I trade my immortality for your love!” I said even more passionate.

Eros said nothing; just put his hands on my face, making a circular motion, a manner of affection. The expression on his face seemed loving, he was grateful for the deep love I felt for him.

Perhaps no one loved him at the dimension I loved him.

He loosened his hands from my face and went up into heights and then he disappeared. I stayed there for some time, memorizing all our conversation.

Chapter
22

So I put my feet into the castle, I was approached by Valeska; she was standing in the main room. I approached humbly.

“Where were you? I was looking for you!” she asked.

“I went for a walk.”

I hid the facts; I did not want anyone to know I was beyond the vicinity of the castle, disobeying the orders of my father.

“Why were you looking for me?” I asked, looking at her.

“It's nothing personal. Just I wanted to talk...”

“I also need to talk to you”, I said.

“What does it worry you?” she asked.

She put her hand on my shoulder excitedly.

“Come to my bedroom....Here no one can hear us”, She said lowly.

She opened her bedroom door and put me inside, and then she came in and closed the door again. Her room was like mine, it had the same objects. We sat on the bed, facing each other.

“I've been with Eros”, I confessed to her.

“How was it?” she asked, perplexed.

“I asked him everything I needed to know”, I answered and my voice was sorrowful.

“And did you get answers?”

“Yes!”

My ‘yes’ sounded bitter.

“Tell me everything!” she said enthusiastic.

“He felt attracted to me when I was human.”

“Did he say that?”

“Yes.”

“It's a shame it is not possible anymore!” Valeska said.

“There must be some way, somehow I to undo this evil”, I supposed.

“What do you want to?” she asked.

“I search out to find a way of becoming human again...to quit being a vampire”, I said determined.

“Are you even willing to go along with it?”

“Yes, I am, and today more than ever. And you will help me”, I said serious.

“How?”

“Do not you know anything? Has any formula to reverse it?”

“I know someone who can guide you about it”, she finished.

“Who?” I asked.

“He is a wizard who lives on top of rocks.”

“How do I arrive at him?”

“It is not easy!” she warned me. “He has ferocious dogs, they protect him, and they don't allow anyone to approach him.”

“I am immortal and I have no fear!”

“You run a risk of returning wounded and even disfigured”, she looked at me sternly. “Or even pull your head.”

The words of Valeska didn't remove my thoughts of going behind the wizard. I was determined to pay any price to become human again, even if it would stir with my flesh.

That night Valeska gave me all the necessary coordinates for me to put my plan into practice. She said everything she knew about that wizard, though she never saw him in front her, in the flesh, but she heard about him, since his existence on that planet.
