He put a hand over her mouth. “No you don’t. Why don’t we go up to the room?”
“What for?”
“Well, hell, do isometric exercises, tell elephant jokes, write postcards. There must be something you can do with a thirty-year-old fossil, with a reasonable amount of care.”
She drew a fingertip along his cheek. “You may be right.” They gathered up their gear and went in through the bar.
